Desperately wanted to make this our new spot but when we came in today there were no seats inside and so we were waiting to see where we could sit or be added to a wait list. But no one acknowledged us and people would walk in and take whatever empty seat there was while we just stood and waited to be noticed. We are glad to see they are busy but we won't be back because they literally looked at us several times and actively ignored us. This town has a problem with customer service and it's almost impossible to find a quality restaurant here. read more

Food was great! I had a super-large breaded tenderloin and a large serving of tator tots. Pretty good. Also had the pumpkin cobbler, which was very rich but very good. My wife had country-friend steak that was also quite good and an excellent apple cobbler. The place doesn't look like much. I've eaten here a few times. I've always had a pretty good experience. They make a great breakfast. It's a pretty small place; Kind of a little hole in the wall, but it's quaint. There is just one long counter, and you sit on a stool at the counter. It smells really good since they cook right in front of you on the grill and the food has a home cooked feel to it. You certainly can't beat the price. The portions are pretty generous for the cost. There are some picnic benches outside too. Admittedly it's a little run down and could use an upgrade, but I think they keep the place pretty clean. They did recently repaint it. The new paint job is really fun, but I kind of miss the old simple sign they used to have outside. The parking lot is tiny, but I've never had trouble finding parking because it has never been too busy when I've gone there. The server and cook who are usually the same person are always nice and accommodating. There is very little wait getting your food. I don't believe they have a bathroom because the place is so small, but I could be wrong. I eat there a few times a year when I have time, so I will definitely go again. read more

The place has a little hippy vibe, but it's its own place, and doesn't appear to be themed to the namesake. The food was high quality, fresh, and prepared by a cook that cared about what he was doing. This was the best breakfast I've had in Crawfordsville so far. Inside, there is only seating at the counter, no tables. Outside seating is available. If you're in town, you should check the place out. read more

The server we had was absolutely awful his attitude was worse than a teenage girl going through a period.

I stopped in for breakfast this morning. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I ordered a bacon omelet and hasbrowns and gravy. It was good watching them be prepared right in front of me. Reminded me of the lunch counters and diners of my youth. The cook knew his stuff, my food was excellent. I will be back. read more
