Want real breakfast McDonald's isn't serving it now walk right across the highway to the cracker barrel
    Kevin D.

#78/2022 Like any other cracker barrel that's pretty much the same. You have your old fashioned general store the bathroom and the restaurant. This one's big with the locals during the peak hours it brings them out and it definitely brings the wait. I parked my truck across at the McDonald's with the truck parking and came over and came in and looks like the morning rushes was over just before the lunch rush I showed up. I got seated right away I noticed the tables were all cleaned the office was a nice one. Having read the reviews on both Yelp and Google I noticed there's touch and go here and there but looks like you're doing a really good job I wouldn't need to be done. I didn't wait long before I was asked what I wanted to drink she brought out what I wanted the cawfee didn't need a menu I decided on one of my favorites that I like when I come to cracker barrel for breakfast. They call it the Mommas Breakfast I put a little change as I have to add blueberries for 50 cents and you get the yummy blueberry syrup. I learned this is a lot cheaper if you want eggs meat and cakes. Otherwise you ordered the blueberry pancake breakfast you're going to pay more for the eggs so it's simple to do it this way I just add the blueberries. So Bada Bing Bada Boom... Done Food came out and the quality of the pancakes were great they were light and fluffy little bit of crisp on the edges blueberries were fantastic sausage was nice and hot the eggs were soft scrambled the way I like them so no complaints at all. It's good to know if you get there early enough cuz at McDonald's tends to fill up and you don't want to eat at Ronald's house you can walk over here to the CB. Show reflecting on my experience only it's definitely 4.5 stars so I'm giving the full 5 bar. I was very impressed it was above average to me keep up the good work. Also shout out to my server Donna. I think they were short a little bit on staff but she kept on hustling and getting things done quite well look like she was working a pretty big section.

This place is soooooo dirty! Please clean it! I can't even imagine how dirty the kitchen might be if nobody is concerned about the cleanliness of the rest of the place! Food was slow to come out and when it did, only one item on the plate was hot. Which tells me they plate other items and let it sit. Clean up your act Cracker Barrel!

Hamburger "steak." Extra well done (ordered "medium") and extra chewy. Ugh.

The tiny restaurant was packed with a line waiting for a table for New Year's Eve lunch. The wait was short, maybe 10 minutes. The place is not fancy or upscale - just salt of the earth. The tables are covered in Formica and clean. It was loud inside with all tables filled and people in a festive mood. People seemed to know each other. Homemade pies filled a case $3.75 a slice. We sat in a comfy booth. The menu is a mix of traditional breakfast and lunch items. They're famous for their one pound hamburgers. I ordered the daily special Rueben Sandwich with fries and coleslaw for only $9.50. What a deal! My meal was huge. The Rueben was on toasted marble rye. There was plenty of corn beef, sauerkraut, cheese and sauce. The fries were nice and hot. The coleslaw was thin sliced and sweet. I finished my meal with a slice of Lemon Meringue pie. The slice was generous and I shared it with my husband. Krista, our server was friendly and attentive. Drink orders are taken quickly. Food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was hustling to keep up with the packed house. They have daily specials and a kid's menu. Parking is limited in their small lot but there is nearby street parking.

It's just not good anymore. all the servers are very nice and lots about the only thing I can complement the table we sat at was Jody the food we ordered wasn't very good. There were two places to get breakfast in town or near town. The other one was jammed and you couldn't get either a parking spot or a table so we need to have a quick breakfast and we went to downtown diner we will never do that again.

Know that I am a city boy and this is in rural Indiana. Two thousand people live in Cloverdale. We stopped on our way to a sprint car race not far from here. There are just not many dining options. While I do not think usual clientele or others would be put off, there were some signs outside that warned you of their conservative political beliefs, warning you to not enter if this offends you. I did not. I went in and did not feel uncomfortable my the hospitality. Ambiance is basic. There is nothing fancy, but then again, it was just fine. I may seem prejudiced, but this comment is sincere and meant to be purely complimentary. My friend, from rural Indiana agreed. "This place brought to mind that it is where you go after the hay is stacked, the cows are in the barn, you are hungry and can get your fill of good food, cheap." The daily specials posted suggested I come back. Service bringing our order was slow, but our server apologized and explained a kitchen issue. No worries. We both ordered the quintessential Indiana sandwich - Pork Tenderloin. I got the grilled and he got the fried. Never in my life have I seen a meal called a "sandwich" that looked like this. The tenderloin was as big as a dinner plate. The bun looked a decoration more than the basis for a sandwich. The meat was easily twice or three times the diameter of the ornamental bun. Neither of us could even eat half. Deferring to my Hoosier native, he declared this one of the best tenderloins he ever had. Unfortunately, my grilled version was a bit dry. We have made tenderloins at home in TN. I cannot for the life of me figure out how they pounded that cut of meat into the shape they served.
