We went there specifically for the taco salad special. It was delicious and our server was great. We had just finished paying our bill when I got a FaceTime call from my granddaughter as she saw we were eating there and she loved the taco salad too. All of a sudden a lady that was behind the bar came over and told me to turn off my FaceTime call. I actually had the volume turned to half way that lasted under four minutes. I'm not sure if she was the owner, manager and bartender but hello, we were in a bar. We had been watching tennis on the tv, good thing we didn't yell at any great plays. If we ever go back, we will try to remember to be very quiet. Oh and by the way, before our food came we got to hear a guy at the bar take a work call for about 15 minutes. He was talking very loud. My parents suggested this place for dinner while we were in town visiting. We had a bit of a wait, about 20 minutes for first available seating. They have an outdoor seating area that seemed very popular, but inside was fine for us. Our server was kind and patient as we reviewed the menu. It's a large menu with a Florida dive bar feel with plenty of seafood options. We started with a full basket of onion rings - these were really good! Super crispy and hot. The breading wasn't a beer batter, it was more like a cornmeal texture that I really liked. The "full" basket wasn't a very large portion, but enough for each of us to have 2-3. I got the pan seared snapper, which was good - it needed more salt, but the fish was cooked well. The fruit salsa was sweeter than I wanted for a savory dish, but I just ate it separately and it was fine that way. I really liked the risotto that came with the fish - it was creamy and cooked well. The side Caesar salad I got with my entree was typical, but fresh. Nate got the lobster BLT which was messy and kind of hard to eat, but yummy and something fun that we can't get back home. Got a grouper Reuben plus fries ($3 extra). Size of fish was small and had an off taste, was real fishy. I would have sent it back, and I should have. Anyway, I told the waitress the fish was bad but I intended to pay as usual. Instead of saying something appropriate like "sorry, I'll tell the chef" she got an attitude- a nasty one. Service: can't say enough good things about Megan . She was BEYOND attentive, polite, professional and wanted so much for our experience to be a good one. So 5 stars for Megan. Food: Muscles...small, dry, tasteless. Wondered if they were pre-frozen. Many with cracked shells and no muscle inside. Mushroom caps.... Honestly they were at most 2" in size. Stuffing was unremarkable. Prime rib: medium was more like med-rare. But okay with that. It couldn't be cut with the serrated knife provided. Instead of the usual soft texture of Prime., it was tough/chewy. The aus jus tasted awful. More water than beef in flavor. And the water tasted dirty!! Steak and shrimp: I've NEVER seen a steak like that. It had absolutely perfect grill marks with not one bit of ' grill residue" which made us wonder if it had been Sous-vide(d) . The Service, the people that work there, the very nice bartender who makes the perfect Bloody Mary .... The portions are generous, the food is always hot and perfectly prepared and presented very nicely. The lunch specials are fabulous and are very inexpensive considering the portions they serve. I would come here for the appetizers alone! The creamy crab & shrimp wontons with eel sauce and spicy mayo are hands down one of the best appetizers I have ever tried. My kiddos wanted to cancel his meal and put in for two more plates of these. The Buffalo shrimp was plump and juicy. The perfect amount of heat and minimal breading. Making them light, not heavy like some fried foods. The special was the prime rib, it was cooked perfectly but needed some more flavor. The same to goes for the sirloin steak. This is a very cool little place. Very Florida and relax. Parking is just a little tight unless you have a really small car but access is easy. The service was great and the food was delicious. I was here during my work assignment. During my visit to the area, I decided to visit this place that was in my bookmarks for sometime. The restaurant is cute. A lot of customers. I got the grilled shrimp crabmeat sandwich. It sound very good in the menu. However, what I got is very tiny size broil shrimp with imitation crab meat. Shrimp not even grilled. Kind of misleading in the menu. The sandwich is ok but experience is just ok. Although I did not got to try their big item. But the food that I have is not up to the standards. read more

Jessica is a great server. She made our time here fantastic. She had great recommendations and we loved it all. We got there around 12:30 on a Wednesday and it wasn't crazy packed but it was a decent sized crowd. A good sign!!! They didn't have seating for our party of 5, so the hostess split us into 3/2 at two tables side by side. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone. We ordered: fish tacos with grouper, spicy wings, a Reuben, crab cake sandwich, and the pork tenderloin sandwich. A couple of the raspberry lemonade cocktails were tried, and the custard key lime pie to go! All were amazing. Zero complaints. Except maybe one: the sandwiches didn't come with fries. Those cost extra. Other than that, all good. We thought the menu was impressive and we had a hard time choosing. We would definitely come back and try other things. read more

Stopped here tonight with two friends. It was OK. Actually, my fresh fish tacos were really very good, lots of mahi-mahi and on mini flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas, which I was very happy about. I would have liked some more cheese on them, but then, I like cheese. My friend J had the mini seafood platter with cod, crabcakes and shrimp, and he was very disappointed with most of it. The crabcakes were hard and unappetizing, and he said that he didn't believe his fried cod was actually cod, as it was too soft. He also had a bowl of their chowder, which he did not want to finish. I ate some of his fries and they were actually excellent fries. My friend L had the fresh Icelandic cod, and she was very happy with it. It was served over lobster risotto and then finished with a lobster cream sauce, and she ate every bit of it. It seems like it took an extraordinarily long time to get our food after we placed our order, maybe 45 minutes. They were busy, but it just seemed like it was too long of a wait. After years of supporting the restaurant, the wait staff decided to complain that our 7 year old grandson walked in with a fast food box. The hostess didn't have a problem with it and seated us. The attendant at the bar didn't have a problem with it and was serving the drinks. But because the server girls got together and complained, we were basically forced to make a decision. We traveled from Miami to Naples to spend the day at the beach, and decided to try Alice Sweetwater's, thanks to the reviews. The place is cozy and clean, especial mention to the ladies restrooms, where they have a complementary exfoliating salts, that leaves your hands soft and smelling amazing!!! Now the food: we ordered a cup of lobster bisque (forgot to take a picture of it), two blackened grouper sandwich, gator nuggets, fried calamari and a side of French fries. Let me start with the Lobster bisque. It was soooo good!! OMG! The piece of bread plus the piece of fresh lobster inside were the icing of the cake. Creamy, delicious little cup of greatness! It's definitely a MUST if you come here! The gator nuggets and the fried calamari were fresh and fried to perfection, though the calamari were a little small but still good. The grouper sandwiches were nice not great. The piece of fish was big, well cooked, good seasoning, and fresh, although it was missing something. The other issue we had was the coleslaw that came with the sandwiches. Not good at all. Overall it was a nice meal. Last but not least, a special mention to our waiter Patrick. Stopped here for a leisurely lunch with my team. It was nice, great island style vibe. We ate on the back patio, nice variety of music, Bob Marley made the Playlist. They had the entire patio covered with fans and water misting the area. Service was good, the waitress made sure we didn't go dry with drinks and checked on very regularly.
