    Onion ring basket
    Katy C.

My parents suggested this place for dinner while we were in town visiting. We had a bit of a wait, about 20 minutes for first available seating. They have an outdoor seating area that seemed very popular, but inside was fine for us. Our server was kind and patient as we reviewed the menu. It's a large menu with a Florida dive bar feel with plenty of seafood options. We started with a full basket of onion rings - these were really good! Super crispy and hot. The breading wasn't a beer batter, it was more like a cornmeal texture that I really liked. The "full" basket wasn't a very large portion, but enough for each of us to have 2-3. I got the pan seared snapper, which was good - it needed more salt, but the fish was cooked well. The fruit salsa was sweeter than I wanted for a savory dish, but I just ate it separately and it was fine that way. I really liked the risotto that came with the fish - it was creamy and cooked well. The side Caesar salad I got with my entree was typical, but fresh. Nate got the lobster BLT which was messy and kind of hard to eat, but yummy and something fun that we can't get back home. The pineapple tartar sauce was unique and interesting - I actually really liked it. I'd come back to this spot as there were many items on the menu that sounded good!

Really cute place, great service and food. I also had a spicy marg and that was good as well. Lots to look at inside and we would've been on the patio but it was chilly. We will def be back!

I would come here for the appetizers alone! The creamy crab & shrimp wontons with eel sauce and spicy mayo are hands down one of the best appetizers I have ever tried. My kiddos wanted to cancel his meal and put in for two more plates of these. The Buffalo shrimp was plump and juicy. The perfect amount of heat and minimal breading. Making them light, not heavy like some fried foods. The special was the prime rib, it was cooked perfectly but needed some more flavor. The same to goes for the sirloin steak. Amazing cook and char, but lacked seasoning. Our server was very attentive and the wait time at the peak of dinner was not even 5 minutes.

This is a very cool little place. Very Florida and relax. Parking is just a little tight unless you have a really small car but access is easy. The service was great and the food was delicious. Very unique atmosphere with an old style bar with a antique cash register that must be over hundred years old very neat place to visit.

I was here during my work assignment. During my visit to the area, I decided to visit this place that was in my bookmarks for sometime. The restaurant is cute. A lot of customers. I got the grilled shrimp crabmeat sandwich. It sound very good in the menu. However, what I got is very tiny size broil shrimp with imitation crab meat. Shrimp not even grilled. Kind of misleading in the menu. The sandwich is ok but experience is just ok. Although I did not got to try their big item. But the food that I have is not up to the standards.

A Hidden Gem in Downtown Naples -- Don't Sleep on This Place!…read more I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing -- the outside patio was at full capacity. I asked for a seat at the bar, and even though space is very limited, the staff went above and beyond to find me one. That kind of effort on a packed afternoon says a lot about this team. The bartender was phenomenal -- attentive, warm, and somehow managed to make every single person at that busy bar feel like they were the only guest in the restaurant. The whole staff carried that same energy. They were also wonderfully descriptive about the daily specials and menu offerings, which made ordering a pleasure rather than a guessing game. I decided to try the crab cake, and I'm so glad I did. I grew up on the East Coast eating crab, and I've had my fair share -- I've long held that Phillips in Maryland made the gold standard. I am happy to report that Captain & Crew has dethroned them in my book. This crab cake was pure lump crab meat, not overpowered by fillers or seasoning. You could actually taste the crab. The accompaniments they served alongside it elevated the whole dish even further. Thoroughly impressed. The wine pairings were equally well-curated. I took the staff's recommendations and they absolutely nailed it. A heads-up for first-timers: parking is the one small challenge. There's no convenient lot right there, so you may need to use a parking garage and walk over. Honestly? Embrace it. If you're already in Downtown Naples, it's a beautiful stroll that perfectly sets the mood before you arrive. Captain & Crew is a true hidden gem. Many people come for the fresh seafood market, but don't overlook the restaurant side -- it's absolutely worth your time. Highly recommend.

After sitting down, we started reviewing the menu and saw so many interesting items that it was difficult to choose. Fortunately, our server noticed we were struggling and she offered to help navigate us through our meal. Our goal was to sample a variety of options, but not to over order. And we accomplished just that! We started with some Stone Crabs, then some Peel & Eat Shrimp, then my wife and I shared an entree of Blackened Grouper with sides of fries and coleslaw, where we also added a few scallops. Delicious! We thought we were done, but our server informed us of the excellent Key Lime pie. We had room to share one slice, and we are so happy we did! It was excellent. A great balance of tartness and sweetness. We look forward to returning!

From the moment we walked in, the hostesses and manager made us feel welcome and had us seated right away. Our server, Angel, was fantastic. He walked us through the menu, explained how many of the dishes were prepared, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We started with the octopus and fresh focaccia with honey. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. We also shared the beet and goat cheese salad, followed by the local snapper and the ribeye cap topped with lobster claw and tail in chimichurri. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails were well balanced (not overloaded with ice), and the Thyme on Thyme is an easy recommendation if you're looking for something light and refreshing. The wine list paired nicely with the meal as well. Watching the sunset over the water while listening to music drifting across the park made the evening even more memorable. Thanks to Angel and the kitchen for such an outstanding experience. Seventh South has earned a spot on our regular rotation whenever we're in Naples.

I parked near their walkway sign and once I ventured through, it's such a lovely walk up to the restaurant with a bridge over water with fountains and tons of blooms everywhere. Once inside, I was met with a bright, crisp dining room that was clean and comfortable. We started with cocktails and I got their version of a Manhattan, the hog-hattan. It's made with Whistlepig 6 year and came out on the rocks. Manhattans not served up are kinda a pet peeve of mine--but this one? Truly and honestly one of the best Manhattans of my life. The server did not steer me wrong. It was exquisite. For my dinner, my dining companion and I opted for a deal they had that allowed you a starter and main for a reasonable price. I got the kale salad for my starter which was bursting with flavor--chopped kale, brussels sprouts, butternut squash, chevre, and a bright citrus-y vinaigrette--what's not to love? For my main, I got their Mahi Mahi which was also perfectly executed. It was served over a bed of rice and asparagus with chopped mango and a sauce (not sure what kind but balanced the dish perfectly) on top. I would have a hard time not ordering this dish again. It was craveable. Our server was lovely and provided wonderful recommendations for both myself and my dining companion. No notes! Get to it!

Our meal ended up taking about 90 minutes after reservation, which was longer than we expected for a quick dinner. We shared two dozen oysters, king crab legs, the miso butterfish, and cocktail.. The oysters were fresh, though we had slightly higher expectations. The king crab was easily the standout of the meal. The miso butterfish was well prepared but a bit heavy on the sauce--I think a touch of acidity and a side of vegetables would have balanced it nicely, something to consider. Between the waterfront breeze, friendly hosts, and our server's hospitality, we still had an enjoyable evening. It may have simply been a busy night for the service team. We started with the cheddar biscuits and they were hard, salty, and dry. I ordered the filet mignon with Oscar. I asked the waiter if it came with a side and he said no, it's à la carte so I tell him ok, I'll have an order of the asparagus to go with it. I get the steak, and it already comes on a bed of asparagus which he did not mention so I paid $14 for a side that I did not need. Moving on to the steak. It came with the fish on top of the steak in some kind of sauce. I've never had Oscar before but wanted to try it so I have no idea if it typically smells the way it did but I can't even describe how nasty it smelled. I literally wanted to gag. Unfortunately, it was on my steak and all in the sauce, so my steak now tasted like it. The steak itself also lacked flavor and had no seasoning whatsoever. It was thick and chewy which I've never experienced with a filet mignon. I attempted to eat what I could of it but thankfully, I had the extra asparagus to eat to fill me up. I didn't try the fish and chips that my daughter had but it looked ok. I was expecting it to be cod or haddock, but pretty sure it was grouper so be mindful of that when ordering fish and chips. I will say, I did not mention or complain about any of this to our waiter because I didn't want to make a scene but I should have. Our $170 dinner was probably worth about $30 (mostly from the asparagus). I really hate that because it was such a pretty restaurant but I will not ever be back or recommend to anyone I know.
