Taberna Burntwood recently renovated their inside to give a much more contemporary look and feel. I love that the bar expands from the inside dining area to the outdoor patio to let bartenders be full service to both spaces. The inside had large perimeter booths to accommodate larger party sizes and very comfortable tables and chairs for 2-4 guests. I loved the lighting features and moody finished throughout. We started with the Margarita Flatbread appetizer we got free for signing up for their rewards program. It was the perfect size to share and tasted very fresh. We also couldn't pass up trying The Breadwinner cocktail which was their sweeter old fashioned. For entrees, we each got the Smash Burger as its on special for $10 on Wednesdays (for rewards members)! The burgers were thicker than I was expecting but everything tasted so fresh. I really enjoyed their Special Sauce to go with it and fries were nice and crispy. This is a great option for elevated American food and the menu offers something for everyone! My wife and I here for the first time yesterday and it was a very positive upbeat kind of visit. Our server was DAMIAN and he was great. He was very personable, engaging, made you feel very comfortable and was helpful with the menu selections. We also enjoyed talking with him and appreciated him being on top of everything. He is a great asset to the restaurant. Thanks again DAMIAN! We first ordered an appetizer called: Zucchini Fritte, Lemon Aioli, Pomodoro, Parmesan. Such a VERY generous portion for $12. It was phenomenal. Perfectly done (see picture) Delicious!!! We both then ordered the Classic Cheeseburger w/Tillamook Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles AND cooked exactly the way we expressed, medium rare and the burgers were or very close to being 8 oz. burgers; the fries were great that accompanied the entree. Will be back here when wanting a great burger. My wife wanted no bun, or onion but asked for cole slaw which they didn't have on the menu. Our server said it is served on Fridays during the Lenten season, he'll see what he can do. He came back and told us that CHEF MIKE will put one together for her. This isn't just a side of cole slaw as we know it....this was the creamiest, most delicious cole slaw in a bowl. WOW!! Looking forward to dining there on a Friday soon. Thank you Chef Mike!!! So what was just a walk through Mercato deciding on where to go for lunch turned into a memorable upbeat visit to Taberna Burntwood with great service, pleasing entrees with added personal touches by our server DAMIAN and CHEF MIKE. I came here last night when my sister was visiting. We sat inside at the bar. Kara took care of us. She was so friendly and suggested a few things on the menu. My sister is a little bit of a picky eater at Kara knew the menu really well I was able to suggest something to her. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice night out. Taberna Burntwood is one of new favorite restaurants, in the Naples area and this location specifically has great ambiance including the outdoor seating area. Reservations are pretty easy to come by if you book ahead (and they do accept walk in's) however, for the social hour special menu you need to be seated outside or at the bar. Last night I had dinner with my wife and mom, and we shared 2 Margherita pizzas, Prime Rib Sliders, Bang Bang shrimp, cauliflower bites, a Margarita and ice tea for $68. Saturday 4/11/2026 2:00 pm. First the greeting and attentiveness we received was very welcoming. We were sat at a lovely outdoor table without any wait time. Our server Cory was delightful, thoughtful and checked on us a number of times during our lunch. I ordered the Blackened Grouper Sandwich, and my husband ordered the Lobster Bisque and the French Dip Sandwich. Both plates came out hot and delicious. It was just the right amount of food for lunch. We will be adding this to our favorites list. read more

This place is just mediocre at best and both locations have pretty bad service ! My Grandson took his buddy there for dinner on his birthday and said they treated them badly and didn't even mention the birthday even after telling the server it was his birthday! We used to come in here before they remodeled it. This is the first time we've come in since it's been updated. They did a very nice job. We sat at the bar and ordered a flatbread and a carpaccio for lunch. We did not order drinks. However, we did notice that they have bottomless Hugo spritz and mimosas for $18 so we may be back for that incredible deal. Dave was our bartender he was professional efficient and pleasant. My margarita flatbread was a perfect portion and my husband really enjoyed the carpaccio. The dining room is contemporary and pleasant. Our waitress, Kaleiha was very nice. The Taberna salad with bleu cheese dressing was good, but the portion is very small for price. The chicken breast was very tasty. The sirloin steak was awful. Cooked on a grill, which makes it flavorless, even off tasting. It was also as tender as shoe leather. Tried the smash burger instead. It was good albiet too salty. The Johnny Walker Black was good. Note, for these prices there is no bread service. Not even for an additional price. Oh, there is an additional price though for the construction work being done outside, 3% on the entire bill. Not a deal breaker if the restaurant was a 4 or more star restaurant. This place is certainly not that. Sorry, I had hoped for better. The restaurant business is tough. When the food is mediocre it is even tougher. read more

Sat outside after walking around Mercato and the weather and seating was perfect. Our server was fast and had great recommendations. I only give this one star for the hospitality/seating, the food and our waiter were very good. They definitely need to be more customer friendly at the desk and whoever the woman that made us move to another table of 4 and 2. In fairness I realize it was an extremely busy day being St Patrick's. They have social hour from 3-6, we put our name in at about 3ish and they said our party of 6 would be about 45 minuets. We then find out they put our phone number in wrong only after we inquired about the table. After an hour of waiting we checked in again as there were several tables of 4 that had been unoccupied for quite awhile. We were told they needed to stay open for parties of 4, so we asked for possibly 2 chairs, nope no extra chairs, so we asked if we could do 4 and 2 or 3 and 3 nope has to be 4. Made no sense, finally they said 4 and 2, we sat down moved the tables just a bit closer to each other, they gave us menus (not the social hour ones btw) and when we were all seated another woman came out and said "we need those tables for parties of 4 (seriously you would rather have empty tables and upset customers. She then moved us to a table of 4and put a round table of 2 at the end. The whole experience was bizarre and if I wasn't so hungry and knew we'd have to wait now wherever we went we would have.left. The good news was our waiter was a sweetheart, didn't catch his name though and the manager did come out and discounted our meals, but the whole seating debacle could have and should have been avoided. And those tables they so desperately needed were left unoccupied until just before we left. Do Better front desk and whoever the other woman was, customers are your livelihood. read more

We went for happy hour, some folks in our group were budget-conscious and we asked then they seated us if we could have happy hour pricing inside the restaurant. In the end, they did not give us happy hour pricing and acted unsure as to why. So we got a coupon for a free appetizer in the future. My husband and I had a lovely meal at Tabernacle in the Mercato shopping center. Danielle the manager was attentive even though a large party was seated shortly after us. Enjoyed this restaurant in the past but a recent experience left me unhappy. Tried to dine here the other night, but was unsuccessful because even though the restaurant was empty, they would not see us. The reason was they had reservations. Again the restaurant was empty. We were there with my granddaughter who is 2 1/2. They told us it might be 10 minutes before they could see us so we decided to wait 15 minutes later still waiting and my granddaughter was getting impatient not sure what their policy is, but when the restaurant is completely empty, you would think they could find a table. We sat at the outdoor bar. 3 stars for the bar. The bar is way too high. You have to eat like a T-Rex with little arms at your chin height if you're short. The service was fine with a person training on a Saturday night. The calamari description said pan seared so I wasn't expecting any breading or coating. I would not have ordered it. Drinks were good! Absolutely horrible. Messed up drinks, was told that they were right but they weren't. Server ignored us and there was only 2 tables outside, tried speaking to the manager but she said she was too busy to talk. I used to love this place when it was Burntwood Tavern. Then they shut down remodeled.(almost unnoticeably.) and opened up with higher prices, worst food. I hadn't been back and I received an email that they were having buy one get one free entrees in September so I decided to try it one more time. When I got there, we ordered four entrées, after checking with the waiter that the promotion was still ongoing. When the bill came, they charged us for four entrées. When I asked why he said well only one of you is a rewards member so you only get one free entrée. Nowhere in the email did it state that and when I asked to speak with the manager, she argued with me and really could not have cared less that I was unhappy. In addition, the food was terrible, but I didn't complain because I very rarely do unless it's completely inedible. Now I wish I would have. I will not be back and you would think in a time where restaurants are suffering, especially in Mercado with all of the construction going on and how difficult they make it for you to even get to the restaurant they would be more accommodating. read more

Our reservation was at 6:30 p.m., and we ordered drinks and meals soon after our table was visited. The wait seemed three times longer than usual, especially for uncomplicated orders of salads and sandwiches.
