Visited on May 26 to try Backyard Fire Grill with family visiting from out of town. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and it was fun watching the chef grilling over charcoal in the back. Our party of six was seated promptly. The menu offered plenty of choices, so it took us a while to decide. We ordered a full rack of ribs, Florida Cobb salad, bone-in pork chop, grilled fish special, and other entrées. Each meal came with sides such as smashed sweet potatoes, crock pot beans, and steamed broccoli. The portions were generous, and everything was flavorful. The only disappointment was with my bone-in pork chop. Somehow, my order never made it to the kitchen. Once the mistake was discovered, the kitchen prepared it quickly, and it arrived exactly five minutes later. Unfortunately, it was raw in the center. I was told that the pork chop is normally served slightly pink, but this was clearly undercooked. I wish I had taken a photo. The kitchen promptly took it back and returned it properly cooked. Despite this mishap, the staff handled the situation professionally, and the overall service was good. The food was delicious, the portions were excellent, and I would consider returning, hoping this was just an isolated kitchen error. read more

Another great visit to Backyard Fire Grill--this place just doesn't miss. Stopped in with my wife for a low-key evening, grabbed some wings and a couple of cold beers. Simple? Sure. But sometimes simple done right is all you need. The wings were on point, the beers were cold, and the vibes were immaculate. Great music, laid-back atmosphere, the kind of spot where you walk in stressed and walk out smiling. And then there's Tina. She waited on us again, and honestly, she's a big part of why we keep coming back. Always awesome, always on top of it, makes you feel like a regular even if you're not. Good service elevates a good meal into a great experience, and Tina delivers every time. Here's my only complaint: I wish there was one closer to Fort Myers. We'd be here all the time if it wasn't a trek. And honestly? This concept would crush it as a larger restaurant with a full bar. Palm Beach Boulevard is seriously lacking in quality restaurant options, Backyard Fire Grill would absolutely dominate that area. Just putting that out into the universe. Someone make it happen. I always forget to take a picture before I dig in, sorry. I get too excited. I'm hesitant to leave this review as I'm worried I won't be able to get a seat but here we goooo! Tina was our server and she was very attentive and kind. The restaurant is quaint with outside dining as well. I got the pork chop which was enormous and cooked perfectly. This isn't your typical bbq joint...but the food was very good. Had the ribs. They had a nice char on them. Very tender. Mac n cheese was good as was the citrus slaw. The portions were very generous -- the quarter chicken was cooked perfectly, tender, and delicious, and the quarter ribs were well seasoned and literally fell off the bone. The homemade sides were just as impressive, with generous portions of fresh coleslaw, perfectly steamed broccoli, and sweet potatoes. The fire-grilled shrimp was hands down the best shrimp we've ever had. Tina truly elevated the entire experience with her positive energy and outstanding customer service.
