Visited EJ's while vacationing in Naples last weekend. We try to visit one new place every year when we go and while looking up breakfast places locally, this place popped up as recommended. While scrolling through some of the photos and reviews, I saw the stuff French toast and I was immediately in! We came on a Saturday morning and they were busy enough but not packed. We asked for their first available, which was outside. During summer it's a bit of a risk to sit outdoors, but it was in a covered area. They have a little side patio area, but a lot of the outdoor tables are randomly placed up against the building and in the walkway to accommodate additional guests. It's kind of weird when people that live in the building walk by as the walkways aren't very wide. The inside area of the restaurant is not very large. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Even if she did spill a bit of coffee on me which she was apologetic for. My husband got the crab cake Benedict and I got the strawberry stuffed French toast. Absolutely loved everything! My husband's only note was that he did not like the corn inside crab cake. The cheesy hash browns were definitely a hit for us! The stuffed French toast was divine - basically desert! I like that the dish also came with eggs and bacon! The iced coffee was pretty good as well. Overall, this was a great experience with the exception of the weird outside seating arrangement. 8/10 recommend! read more

I had such a lovely, simple experience at EJ's Bayfront Cafe. I ordered two eggs your way with a coffee, and honestly--it was perfect. There's something about a well-made, classic breakfast that just hits, and this one really did. Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and exactly what I wanted. What stood out most, though, was the feeling. The whole experience felt nostalgic in the best way--like a slow morning, no rush, just good food and a warm atmosphere. This was a small breakfast café we stumbled upon, and I'm so glad we did. The food was excellent. The crab Benedict was loaded with crab and topped with a delicious hollandaise sauce. The apple French toast was soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet. We ordered tenders and fries for our little one, but I think we enjoyed them more than she did. This place was very busy the morning we went and I was afraid we would have a long wait, but it we got a table very quickly. Our server was very friendly, and later on never let my glass get close to empty, which was awesome because it was busy. We had the bacon and blue burger and one of the Benedicts (I can't remember if it was the smoked salmon or the crab cake...eggs Benedict aren't my thing). The burger was delicious and the fries were awesome. It was some of the best blue cheese I had eaten in a long time. The place looks large from the pictures but it's actually kind of small on the inside, and it's very loud. Add to that the table beside us with some of the loudest, most obnoxious customers I've heard and that made it less than amazing, but the food and service were great! read more

This brunch spot was a great find! The service was quick and friendly, and the drink options were on point. Everything from classic mimosas to spiked coffees. I loved that the mimosas came in so many flavor choices; I tried the blueberry, and it was delicious. The French toast was good. Nothing mind-blowing, but still satisfying. The bacon, though, totally stole the show...crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Prices were reasonable, and there was plenty of seating, both outdoors and inside, which made for a relaxed, easy going vibe. We got the platter, which is nice to add a little extra protein and breakfast samplings to the dish. Bacon and sausage skilled was pretty solid too. It could have used a little more sausage in ours? But the potatoes were tasty and you can never go wrong with a skillet. Service: the server checked on us regularly, and the food arrived within about 15 mins of the order being placed. This is a no frills kinda place but man was it delicious. They have a little bit of everything and everything we tried was really amazing. We had the Banana stuffed French toast and it was greasy in the best way, haha. Buttery goodness. I wouldn't get that alone because it really is too much but man it checked all the boxes. I also got the avocado toast with over easy eggs and it was a great balance. The bacon was delicious; I asked for it crispy and they delivered. My husband for the huevos rancheros and he truly enjoyed them. The service was great and on point. It was 8 of us and we were in and out in less than 1.5 hours. What a hidden gem! Our party of four walked up, put in reservations and were seated the exact time we were told. This place is bustling, and believe me when I tell you, it's the brunch place to be. This place has the lightest biscuits I've ever tasted which I had with their Home Fries, Scrambled Eggs and Sausage Gravy all of which were as good as momma used to make. We were in Naples for a weekend getaway and it is somehow my thing to go to brunch places of a new city I go to, and EJ's Bayfront Cafe was highly suggested. The place was not hard to locate, it is nearby Tin City. Luckily, We were able to find parking immediately but the plaza where EJ's is located is a busy plaza so I can imagine how it can be difficult sometimes. My Boyfriend got the breakfast burrito. It was suggested by our server. I had a small piece of his burrito and my boyfriend and I agree that it tastes good. The only thing is, I wish it was a little bigger. I got the Philly Steak Skillet. I always want my eggs scrambled no matter what, but I should've gotten Sunny Side Up for this one. It tasted great but i know would've been better if my eggs were cooked sunny side up. For dessert, We got the Banana Foster French Toast. This was the BEST french toast i had in a while. It can be really sweet as it is sugar coated, but that is what makes it unique than the others. Based on the reviews, I thought that I made a good choice for breakfast for my group. Sadly, it didn't not live up to the hype. People must love this place because there were people in line waiting for both inside and OUTSIDE (on a rainy day!). We were seated relatively quickly which was a nice surprise. Service was very friendly. Our server was top notch - very helpful with the menu, plus offered tips for things to do in Naples during our visit. She really knew how to make people feel welcome. The food was disappointing. My Crab Cake Benedict was drenched in hollandaise sauce. After wiping off some of the sauce, the crab cake itself was mushy and the flavor left much to be desired. Maybe I was expecting too much? It's hard because Naples has so many good restaurants. The coffee was OK. I know I am pickier than most... The rest of my group was satisfied with their meal. I've been wanting to come in here for awhile. Being a local, what took me so long?? Well, a big birthday and with family visiting, and one beautiful morning, it was finally time. The place was pretty busy inside and out, but we were seated and served right away. Very happy that this is a breakfast and lunch cafe that knows how to pump out the great food quickly, but not a typical greasy spoon. This place is hip, clean with every member fulfilling their roles to keep the place running like clockwork. Homemade crab cake benedict was mostly crab, so you can tell they know what the heck they're doing. Scratch omelet made to order, with excellence home fries just right. Beverages were kept full during the entire visit, and a complementary homemade cinnamon bun to say "happy birthday" sealed the meal with a nice wish. Thanks! Made a stop here looking for lunch and found A lot to choose from in the menu...looking for something light, the summery Strawberry did not disappointed. Sorry, no photo--I was that hungry. Picture this: bright red sweet fresh berries on a bed of spinach, sprinkled with craisins, sharing the space was mandarin oranges, good quality feta and candied walnuts that were as good as dessert. Had a taste of the blue cheese burger with grilled onions and it was wonderful. The service however was superb. The server Jonathan, and really all the staff, were very attentive, anticipating our needs before we would even speak up. They made our quick stop all the better.
