We were running out of options to eat while it was raining and Alice's was open. Service was great. I would call this old school seafood. We started with the she crab soup. The soup had good flavor and no complaints from us. The next thing we ordered were the deviled eggs. We have had many good experiences throughout the country. For my wife and I these were very low on our list. There was a very strong vinegar flavor with very little texture. Most of the time there is relish or much larger piece of bacon to give it more flavor. Our eggs were just bland and strong vinegar. Our main course was the grouper on rice with shrimp and broccolini. The "broccolini" were just long broccoli florets with absolutely no flavor. The fish was normal, nothing special. Best part of the dish was the shrimp. The rice reminded me of something I used to get in the college buffet line. Staff was nice and the restrooms were clean. The food was our letdown. I think this would be great for a classic southern seafood person, just not for foodies. read more

I was pretty excited to try this place based on the reviews. We decided to try the deviled eggs because why not you know? I'll stick to my granny's her eggs are sweeter. Now the she crab soup was AMAZING. Probably the best one I've had yet. I got the beef filet dinner and asked for medium cook fully knowing that it would come out medium rare and that did not disappoint lol. Good thing I like medium rare steaks. Ordered a grilled seafood platter the pice of Mahi-mahi I received was a 2" square 4 shrimp and 4 scallops and 4 small crab claws. The food was decent not over cooked by for the price it was way overpriced. Tourist trap for sure. Not worth the money. Won't be back. They had live music which was nice. Service was kind of meh. They forgot our appetizer and we waited forever for our kids food which we put in early, because you know, we have little people and we were trying to minimize the disruptions. The Shecrab soup was ok. If you like cream based soup that tastes like crab and no real crab meat then you'd probably love this. This is my third time here. I have been pleasantly surprised at the service and food each time. I've arrived at extremely busy times and watched as each waiter, waitress and bartender bust their butts to get everyone served. My hat off to each of you especially coming out of the pandemic. Walked in to a half-full restaurant and waited close to 30 minutes for drinks before finally walking out. The table behind me did the same. There were several servers running about, so somehow I doubt it was a staffing issue. A group of locals were sat about twenty minutes after me, and within five minutes had drinks and food orders taken. I wish I could comment on the food, but service was so bad I never got the chance to try it. read more

Oh my gosh. Changing my review from 5 stars to one. I've been here many times and always been fine. Enjoyed the food. Service is slow. But it's normally worth it. Today we had some issues and the OWNER, Alice herself, came to talk to us and literally left in the middle of our discussion. We were in the middle of talking and she dismissed us, kept walking away while we're mid conversation, and just turns her back on us. The issues we had were nothing in comparison (cold food, long wait time), to being treated so awfully by the owner. We were speechless. Could not believe she dismissed us. We will never be back and this was our favorite spot... came several times a month. My recommendation would be to never meet the owner if you want to have a nice dining experience. read more

It was kind of dreary inside, no lighting to speak of. We were there for lunch on a Thursday in St Andrews and the place was empty. Gave us an "older crowd" vibe with the music, the diners that were there and the Turkey, stuffing special. Service was good. Celebrated Galentine's day with a friend here last weekend. Off the brunch menu we ordered the meatballs as an appetizer. I had the grouper grilled, 2 eggs over easy and cheese grits as my entree. The meatballs were delicious but the rest of the food was average. The menu is reasonably priced. They were understaffed and busy for Saturday brunch. Very good food - I had the fried shrimp and really liked it. Service was slow - BUT friendly. Relaxed atmosphere; a bit loud (cement flooring, wooden walls) so everyone had to talk loudly over everyone else. Very "local" spot -and we were happy to go local (ie not touristy!) read more

We are locals and visit Alice's almost weekly. We are not breakfast people so we always get the burgers during brunch. They have the best cheeseburgers on the Panama City side. The tuna dip is good. Our friends and son always love the dinner entree's. Salmon is always a winner. We always have good service. read more

We went there last night and had 2 burgers and a tuna dip and both ended up sick our burgers where completely undercooked and our buns burnt. The service was not that great I got an app before I got my sweet tea and by the end of the meal when she tried to refill it filled it with unsweetened tea. Went there for brunch today. The place is very noisy considering how many people were there. Staff did the best they could with what they have to work with. We ordered an omelette and a burger. We've eaten here twice and each time was a smash! The service is a little slow but it's so worth it. We went there for the first time with friends for my wife's birthday. Two of us had the special ( grouper imperial) I had the shrimp creole and the 4th had a salad with grilled salmon. Food was very good, service (Missy) was very attentive. Wine by the glass tasted like fresh bottles even though we dined early on a Tuesday. Definitely felt like a local treasure. We live in a town near by and enjoyed the vibe. Menu is not 10 pages, thank goodness, it is food they do well! Real blue crab in the sauce and she crab soup.
