Alida's Custom Cleaning had excellent communication from the start. They were responsive and able to schedule me in for the dates I requested. The team arrived right on time and were very friendly. I felt perfectly comfortable allowing them to go about their routine while I played with my daughter upstairs. They were quick and efficient! I'm very pleased with the work done. What a lifesaver! *edit: They contacted me and there has been a loss in the family hence the delay in communication regarding confirming the cleaning time/date. I can understand this though I did not hear further from them after first initially booking a cleaning date which seems to be where the miscommunication is. I was asked if it would be the same cleaning as last time, though the last time was not a full house cleaning so I clarified what rooms needed cleaning this time. From there I did not get a response- since I had requested April 15th in the first place did not think I needed to re-confirm, but talking to them today they said I did not confirm when first booking. They offered to re-book for tomorrow but we passed on the offer* The very first time I hired Alida's, they did a wonderful job! The second time, I don't know how it happened but they got my address mixed up with another client's and did not show up until hours later when they could squeeze me back in - it was extremely stressful as they were calling and telling me the crew was here and they couldn't get in, but I was home the whole time. To make up for it they offered some additional cleaning services for that day. I went back to my previous cleaner after that (one of the cleaners also did not do a great job of the toilet). Recently I've been looking for a new cleaning service so I decided to schedule Alida's again since I really do like their cleaning products and hoped for an experience like the first cleaning. Out of everyone's cleaning products the smell from theirs dissipated quickly which is important as I have birds and they are sensitive to chemical odors. I scheduled a team to come out April 15th (today), and had this scheduled in late March, a few weeks ago. A couple days ago I messaged them to confirm the date, but did not get a response (to be fair, it was on a Saturday which is not a usual business day). Today I have emailed, messaged them on facebook which is where I initially scheduled the cleaning, and called and left two voicemails, and no response. The initial scheduling said they would arrive between 10:30am - 12:30pm. It is now 1 pm, and I have not received any updates on an ETA. Extremely disappointed. It will likely be difficult to schedule another cleaning service this short notice as I have guests coming tomorrow evening. Will update this if I hear from them. read more

I have had THE WORST experiences with cleaning services over the years...UNTIL NOW. My previous cleaners have been notorious for not showing up on time or doing a mediocre job (spilling bleach on the carpets, breaking things...); but that is not the case here. I am apprised of any necessary changes in the schedule in advance, the crew arrives promptly and they get right to work. They are aware of my priorities and ensure that those tasks, as well as any special requests, are done well. The crews are cheerful, professional and proud of their work. Highly recommend. read more

Had scheduled and confirmed a cleaning with Alida's three weeks in advanced. They had a two hour window to arrive. Waited the two hours--nothing. Call them; they dont know where the staff is. Takes 20 minutes and 2 more calls to figure out they were running late, and another 20 minutes to be told they would take a further 30-40 minutes to arrive (a little over 1.5 hours late after their two hour appointment window was over). In the end I cancelled and went with another service. Being late is one thing but not warning your next appointments you are running about 3 ish hours late is simply inconsiderate. read more

As a busy mom of 8, there is always cleaning to be done! Alida recommended that a two person team come over for three hours to see how they could help. I'm pretty good at keeping up with the dishes and the kids help pick up toys and random stuff, but there is SO much that gets put off because it's not essential. This is where Alida's crew came in to save the day. One person spent three hours working on my two bathrooms. He cleaned them from top to bottom, not missing one detail- including vacuuming my cotton curtain that was covered in dust, cleaning around and under the toilet, on top of cabinetry, and all those pesky corners of the shower. He even cleaned the vent! Not to mention that the toilet, sink, and shower looked fabulous. The other bathroom was equally, awesomely cleaned. The other person went through each room brushing off ceiling cobwebs, wiping walls, and dusting all surfaces with microfiber cloths. She then worked her way through the hallway, getting all closet doors and frames done. I saw a vast improvement (don't ever paint your doors and trims white, because you see EVERYTHING). It was obvious that she had not forgotten one space. They ended up in the kitchen working on the cabinet doors for their final minutes. I wasn't sure what to expect since I've never had house cleaners over before, but they did a great job. All of my kids were in the house, since it's summer, and the cleaning people didn't seem to mind. They used some kind of light, vinegary cleaner and microfiber cloths on everything. I'm sure they used a lot! The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was that the bathtub still had some black moldy stuff around the edges. I suspect this was because the cleaner was so gentle. I enjoyed having the cleaners over. I felt like they were able to do what I would like to do, if I had the time! I would recommend them! They followed my priority list of things to do exactly, hitting the areas that I needed the most first. They were awesome! read more
