Today I got my hair cut by Fasihah. She did an excellent job! I am from out of town and was looking to get a much needed haircut in the meantime before I went back to dallas. Turns out she did EXACTLY what I wanted for a super great price! I showed her a picture of Jennifer Aniston's face framing and she replicated exactly what i showed. I also got my Eyebrows threaded by Mina and she also did a fantastic job. I have thick, European eyebrows and she was able to still be fast and pull out my hair,not break it. Coming from out of town, I was looking for a last minute Brazilian wax at a good price without a Groupon. I made a morning appointment the day before, but when I arrived it seemed like they forgot (which turned out fine because it wasn't super busy). The place was pretty empty and clean. Gloves were worn and the table was covered. The service itself was quick and efficient. The hot wax was applied through a roller applicator. The wax wasn't the most thorough one I have had (there were a few small spots that were overlooked that I will take care of at home). At the end, I was handed a bottle of baby oil and a paper towel. Overall, the price was good, appointments were plentiful and easy to make, and the wax itself was decent. read more

I am the poster child for that listicle that reads "10 things your hair stylist hates." I showed up at Alieh's with nothing more than "I desperately need a haircut." No pictures, no appointment, no baseline (my hair was up in a braid/bun) and I expected Naz to cut my hair. My former stylist moved to Chicago about a year ago and my hair has been a hot mess of long layers ever since. It appears that Alieh's does mostly other salon services (eyebrows, etc) and was fairly empty at 2 on a Thursday. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was extremely pleased. Naz scrolled through some of my selfies with me and we hatched out a "medium layers" plan. I'm not super chatty and she didn't ask a ton of the idle chatter questions that tend to keep me away from the bigger salons - made me very happy! In the end, my hair looks fantastic and I paid only $40 for a shampoo, cut, and blow dry. (Which lasted three days!!). So happy I stumbled upon this gem. I'll be back! read more

Came here for a well over-due eyebrow threading and was very happy with the result! I arrived at noon on a Friday and the salon was relatively empty, making my walk-in appointment a breeze. I was seated quickly and my eyebrows were tended with an expert hand. The lady threading my eyebrows was extremely professional and guided me through the process patiently. At the end, she had me check out the results and talked me through how to better care for my brows (well appreciated!). She then gave me witch hazel to reduce swelling and just like that, my eyebrows were fixed! Under 10 mins and fantastic eyebrows! The best thing of the entire experience was the price! I've been going to Alieh and Shahnaz since they worked at Aisha and now I go to her own Salon because they were the best at Aisha. Super nice and super friendly. Reasonable prices. The wax quality is very good comparing yo high end places who charge so much and don't do a good job. They charge less and their job is so much better than those fancy expensive places I've been to. I love their 1/2 off facials on Monday. Before getting facial my bf would always tell me to wear makeup when we went out bc I have a lot of pimples and breakout but after I got the herbal facial and we were going to his parents house he insisted on me NOT wearing makeup because my face was glowing and I looked flawless. So planning on doing that facial once or twice a month. read more

I've been coming here to get my eyebrows threaded since Alieh's Salon opened, but today I decided to get a full body wax - arms, legs, underarms, and Brazilian bikini wax. This is the first time I was doing the Brazilian bikini wax and I was INCREDIBLY nervous to the point that I was getting anxiety in anticipation, but man, Alieh did an INCREDIBLE job. For the Brazilian Bikini Wax, she was incredibly professional - wore gloves, wiped you down, and quickly waxed in small sections to minimize pain. I was not uncomfortable at all and that's a big deal because I am very body conscious. Also, the Brazilian bikini wax was NOT painful! I could do this every day (but only if Alieh does the waxing). I highly recommend going to Alieh for any of your beauty needs. She is damn good at what she does and I respect that she is a small business owner running her own salon - it takes guts to take such a huge risk and I wish her loads of success. read more

She does a great job!! I just had my eyebrows threaded and a custom Brazilian wax. I thought it would be extremely painful but this is in my list to try so I kept my word. Surprisingly, it was nowhere near as painful as I thought!!!! I'm so impressed!! The lady (possibly the owner) instructed me that it was a honey wax. She makes the skin taut so you don't feel so much pain!! I'm definitely going to be a loyal client and wish her the best in her business!!!! Oh, and I've been doing my eyebrows here for about 6 months! They look better now because I used to pluck in between visits & that kept them out of shape. Alieh's is fantastic and you will look and feel amazing for an extremely reasonable price. I came in just for a haircut but prices were so tempting I stayed for a leg waxing too. Alieh worked on me and verified I was happy throughout the entire process for both the cut and the wax. I appreciated being told I had soft, healthy hair without the pressure of being upsold on any sort of product. It always seems to taint the experience to be told your hair is damaged and will not look as good unless you purchase a plethora of product at the end of your session, and it was a relief to skip that hard sell tactic and avoid the self-doubt that inevitably clings after that sort of interaction. I only give 2 stars because my cut is nice, but DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON FOR ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH BLEACH! The process that was used for processing my bleach was COMPLETELY WRONG, the bleach was put directly on my scalp FIRST, she over loaded on the last section of my hair, and to top of off she worked to bleach into my hair and scalp with a comb while scratching my scalp. My roots are white and my scalp has red splotches. She was nice and tried to make up for it by offering a free toner later, but I will not be returning. I strongly believe that they need a refresher course in bleach and color, or just take it off the service menu. read more

I didn't get the younger woman's name that threaded my brows and upper lips but she did an amazing job so much so this is now my new spot which I'm so happy about, now I don't have to plan to get my brows threaded since there's a spot near my home.. I've never got my eyebrows done prior to this expect my friend plucking them a few times but they never looked like how they did after I got them threaded. They did an AMAZING job and it took like 10 minutes top. They were super friendly and the prices are unbeatable for how well they do!! Sucks that I have to write negatively on this salon considering my past experiences here were actually really well. I found this place my first year in college and the owner was actually really nice! I went recently for a haircut and she didn't wash my hair yet complained about it not being washed when I was willing to pay extra for the wash. I showed her several pictures of how I wanted my hair cut and she just laughed when I said I wanted to keep my length but add the layers. She made my beautiful long hair look super choppy and unattractive. She seemed as if she didn't want to do the service. I'm used to getting a wash, cut and Brazilian for all my prior hair services (at a different salon of course) & I wouldn't have mind paying extra. Unfortunately, they lost a customer who actually enjoyed going there. She was also nice to other customers but kept yelling at me and made me leave there in tears. Won't be coming back. Definitely going to book a hair apt at an actual salon. Don't bother coming here for the experience because there was none! read more
