I truly hope the members are not paying the same price as we do in Clinton. It feels like it was an old gym that OneLife came and bought. I went midday and it was not crowded. They have all of the machines you would need but about half of the machines look like they were from the 90s. I would come again but I think with many other gyms close by, I would think they need a bigger space and more updated equipment.

I pay way too much monthly to come into a one life gym that still has this style of equipment. Maybe because my home gym is for totten but this is ridiculous. This equipment is all older than this gym itself. The gym smells like a sewage drain. I legitimately had to work out with a shirt over my nose and ended my workout early because I couldn't stand it anymore. The layout of the gym is always chaotic as hell. Yes there's a lot of machines, they are all old maybe 10% of what's in here is "new". Studio has no fans, neither does group studio. That makes no sense to me. First time at this location, I unfortunately moved to this area, but I won't be coming back, I'd rather make the 25 minute drive to the Manassas location where is actually clean, and new equipment Editing to add that there is in fact not a single fan in this gym, even the treadmills, don't have a built in fan. Might be the reason this location SMELLS as bad as it does. I'm

The manager took my information to send via text information about pricing, contract terms and conditions, etc. that I asked about when I walked in. I received only pricing information the same day (Wednesday, 6 Sep). I replied via text same day with thanks and asked if Joel was available the following week for the initial assessment and was told that if anything opened up, I'd receive a text (and that another trainer might be available). I responded that I didn't mind waiting for Joel and said the waiting list is fine, but could I get on the schedule for his next available opening -- just to be sure there was something confirmed on the calendar at some point because what if I couldn't make it to a spontaneous opening. I did not hear back. So I followed up via text two days later, Friday, 8 Sep... I kindly reiterated that I'm happy to have my name on a waiting list, but could I also just secure a date for an available time in the future -- even if it's a couple weeks away -- for the peace of mind ... otherwise I'd just consistently have to hope that something might open up and that my schedule would align (a likely challenge!). The manager responded and thanked me for my patience, again saying she'd try to get me in next week and that Joel is booked. AGAIN, I said that I didn't mind waiting, but could I Please. Just. Schedule. A. Known. Open. Slot. (in addition to the waiting list, fine). Once more, the manager either missed or disregarded my point entirely, saying once again that she would try to get me in soon and to be patient. Two and a half weeks later, and I haven't heard back since... Patience wasn't the issue -- I said multiple times that I didn't mind at all to wait (I didn't expect him to be available the next day!); I just wanted to secure a future spot without relying on the hope of a random opening. That's not unreasonable for a person with a full-time job. I spoke with a friend whose experience reflected a similar challenge--said that every week, it was a struggle to get on the trainers' calendars. Seems they've got plenty of business to keep everyone busy, so that's great for them as a small business in a competitive industry, but boy am I disappointed at this approach to business operations and (prospective) customer service. I was excited about picking up my wellness journey here; it's a shame.

Just the right way of doing fitness as business. Joel,…read moreAnthony and Gloria are amazing and hard working. The whole 45 minutes of intense exercise is very well designed class, aimed to push you to the limit (not easy to do while coordinating 8 people and limited space) . Personal training for a reasonable price is excellent as well. The workout usually target whole body which is great (no separate leg or upper body days) Fusion beats the pretentious and $$$ Lifetime, where the classes are not during convenient time and expensive. The cheaper version to be considered is N-Zone - thats smelly other people socks though and not overly clean. Another choice perhaps would be a private friend-of-a-friend-woman-owned gym - a very questionable quality and fitness knowledge. There is no doubt in Fusion's trainers expertise - Joel and Anthony are extremely fit. Joel, Anthony and Gloria rock! Great business value proposition and fitness done right. XO

After moving from sunny health-focused and image-keeping San Diego, I'd barely noticed that I…read moregained 8-10 lbs (I'm 5'2.5" so that's a lot for me!) after I moved back to my hometown in Virginia after throwing down Papa John's, McDonald's, Wendy's, . I was the heaviest that I've ever been in my life and with a wedding fast-approaching on the horizon, I had to get serious. After 8 months of LA Boxing with no improvements in my weight or tone, I was so desperate to get into some serious shape with a trainer. After googling "personal trainers fairfax," I stumbled upon Coach Charles' website and was eager to begin a new health regimen, especially with an appealing "$249 for 4 weeks of personal training!" advertisement. I started training with Charles 2 days later, and after 4 weeks of training, I've tripled my strength, lost 1.5 inches around my middle and hips/butt, and lost about 2.5% of my body fat. As a short person who wasn't really overweight to begin with (I wore a size 4, size small but medium when self conscious, size 26/27 in jeans), it's hard to really make huge weight loss. But after the past 4 weeks, my fiance noticed I was getting "skinnier," and friends have noticed the weight loss in even two weeks! He measures your progress based on: abilities to progress in strength, measurements in chest, gut 1 (bellybutton level), gut 2 (hip level), hips/butt, thigh circumference, flexed right arm circumference, body fat %, and weight. This isn't your normal "run on a treadmill, warm up on an elliptical, do some tricep kickbacks and bicep curls" type of workout with some juiced-up creatine junkie trainer... this is real training, down to the nuts and bolts, with proven methods. His exercises are fun, challenging, and Coach Charles knows how to produce results. I look forward to going to training each and every session, it flies by and I'm sweating. He customizes your routine to your abilities, challenges, aches and pains, to ensure that you will get an effective workout despite joint problems, range of motion limitations, or health issues. Coach Charles used to be obese himself (not many juiced-up trainers can say the same, they just know how to "pump you up")! He designed our workouts to achieve the results he actually made happen for himself and has fine-tuned them to each person's needs. He even got his own wife into shape and her body is rock hard! Anyway I've gone on for far too long but it's hard to speak to the greatness that is FitHealth. He's flexible with sessions (if you're out of town, he designs a regimen for your vacation), he's motivating (unless you want to eat cheese all the time like I do), and very likeable. Go on his website and request a consultation, it's great!! And you won't regret it!

I have lost several inches off my waist and with the motivation from coach Charles I know I'll meet all my goals before summer. I would highly recommend if you want inexpensive personal training this is the way to go. He take the time to work with you on your strengths and weaknesses.

The basketball court was completely removed, which I was highly looking forward to using after getting my membership. Turns out it was replaced with a pickleball court. The thing that bothers me is the fact that half of the basketball court area was already a pickleball court, and they probably only replaced everything to make more money off pickleball lessons and stuff. 2. Things haven't been changing in a positive way. Like I said before, the basketball court was removed purely as an extension of the already existing pickleball court. Also, some of the gym equipment is pretty outdated and not getting fixed. Furthermore, the staff really don't care about members and just completely listen to the people who are ruining the experience for others, and getting people kicked out of a spot they were already in. The staff also tend to listen to the older person without understanding whats really going on. 3. Most of the Life Time membership is really just giving you access to more purchases instead of owning up to their slogan, "Healthier way of life." The whole Life Time experience really just seems to be a cash grab instead of what it promises.

Small group weight training is top notch, with tailored workouts for to meet your physical (and arguably mental) health needs. Trainers are unbelievably competent and supportive! I had done exercise programs on and off (mostly off) over the years. I knew how important exercise was but I hated it. It was either boring, or it wasn't convenient, or it was hard to stay motivated. Today, I have never felt stronger or more confident. In fact, to my huge surprise, when my job was causing serious stress, all I could think was, "I NEED a workout today." I have never said that in my life! The coaches at UA are top-notch professionals. They take their work seriously, celebrate with you, and are encouraging. I look forward to seeing the coaches -- they are energetic, friendly, supportive, and have taught me a tremendous amount. This contributes greatly to me staying motivated to keep coming back and improving. Getting a new program each month also helps stave off the typical boredom of a "regular" gym. Something else that was unexpected but great nonetheless -- there is a wide variety among UA's members (age, gender, physical shape, natural ability, etc.). I am inspired by and feel comfortable around my fellow UA-ers b/c they each face their own challenges. I highly recommend you give UA a shot. (The also have a location in Sterling, VA.)
