    Ube Latte
    Akhilesh B.

During my stay at the Courtyard, Ali'i became the de facto choice for the first morning's coffee due to its proximity. Located in the lobby, this place opens up early. We tried the Ube Latte the first day and man it was good. While there were so many other options in Waikiki for morning breakfast and coffee, we just went going back every day for the rest of our stay for our first caffeine of the day. Their caramel coconut latte was good too but not as great as the Ube latte. They use locally sourced Kona beans too. The staff were super polite and accommodating as well. While they do have a seating area, it's small but also never crowded. If you are in Waikīkī, this cafe is worth a try!

During peak times, be prepared to wait for your order. Their coffee can be a little pricey, but since they're conveniently located, I don't mind the wait to get my morning coffee fix here.

On the ground floor of the Courtyard Waikiki. Friendly service and nice, although a little small, interior. They can get really busy around 7:30 am, so good to get in before then is possible. The taro-ube latte (hot) is very good. TheAli'l michigan waffle, and avocado toast were also very good.

We stayed at the courtyard by Marriott and the entrance is conveniently located in the lobby. I had the banana float latte and it was so delicious! Service is fast and friendly and they offer kamaaina discount too! My son had their açaí bowl and he gobbled it all r

The only place opened nearby our hotel in the AM. I woke up extra early while on vacay and of course I love my morning coffee. This was only a few blocks away. I ordered a ube latte and avocado toast. They were both absolutely delicious. There's red pickled onions in the toast making it come together perfectly. My tastebuds were dancing!! I loved it! There was a line when I got there and the sun wasn't even out yet. But I can see why people come here. Service is quick and the food is very good.

We came here a few times over our stay and it was wonderful every time. The ube flavored coffee drinks was delicious and so was the matcha. The yogurt cup was so light and filling and the breakfast sandwich was delicious. The chips, so flavorful with hot honey. The staff were also so kind. The space is a bit small, but it's cute.

Small cafe in a hotel, convenient for anyone staying but also a solid location close to everything. Service was great, super friendly. Strawberry Matcha Latte - good balance of ingredients, solid flavor when mixed! Only downside was the matcha being somewhat powdery and not whisked very well. There were some clumps at the bottom but the sips at the top were great.

Very nice people here. I like that they have a friend of the week (a furry friend!) Their ube latte is strong!! Very strong ube flavor, yum! It is located inside a hotel so the cafe is a little small with limited seating.

Local breakfast sandwich & iced salted honey cinnamon latte.

I wanted a good breakfast so I asked the hotel staff and they actually said go to the café downstairs. I had the iced salted cinnamon honey latte & the local breakfast sandwich. It had Portuguese sausage, red onion, tomato & egg on a croissant. It was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had. The staff is super friendly. Shout out to the ladies and gent who gave me some cool hikes. Btw that pillbox hike was no joke.

Was looking to grab some coffee before exploring and this place was down the street from my airbnb. Saw they had a taro ube latte and I was immediately sold. First - the rich, deep color is gorgeous. I've never had anything ube with such a dark purple color. I would say the looks match the taste. The flavor is very rich and strong so keep that in mind. Overall delicious!

This coffee shop is tucked in the Courtyard Marriott. I love all things ube so i had to try their ube latte which i really liked although it is on the sweeter side. I also got their lomi salmon on an everything bagel and it was a nice lil brekkie. Service is great and didn't have to wait long for our order. Will definitely be back!

I found this cafe tucked away during the first day of an incredible vacation to Waikiki. After this initial visit, I had decided that this was the best location to order an ube latte and made numerous trips back during my vacation! The staff are very friendly and are expert level baristas with their pour game! Their food and/or beverages paired with the pleasant atmosphere will instantly transport you from stressed and jet lagged to relaxed and refreshed!

Just as good as I remembered, maybe even better! Friendly service as always. Now that I've had both hot and cold versions of the Taro Ube, the hot is definitely better.

Sadly, it seemed more folks were there for the pastries though. First off, I'm surprised I found such a fabulous cup of coffee in what feels like the epicenter of tourist life on this island. While visiting another island nearly establishment had signage stating they served Kona and/or Hawaiian coffee, but nearly every establishment's coffee was absolutely awful. Seeing the location I fully expected them to phone in the coffee, but it's clear that coffee comes first here, even if many of the guests are trying to get pastries! You'll be shocked by the line, but just know the staff is efficient and it moves fast. They offer a variety of their own locally roasted beans here, with options for batch brew, espresso drinks and even pour overs (impressive considering the volume of customers). The coffees are well described and the baristas have the additional knowledge you may be seeking when you order, and all in all this went as quickly as I could have expected. Truly, the coffee was delightful, and the fact I was drinking a hot drink on an extremely hot day didn't even phase me. I wanted so badly to bring home a bag of each one, but given that everything is more expensive in Hawaii, these were all 4x the price of the specialty coffee I buy on the mainland and I just couldn't make it happen. What will happen is me telling everyone to visit this shop when they're in Hawaii because it is 100% worth it. Won't you consider opening one in Reno NV?
