    Ube Latte
    Akhilesh B.

During my stay at the Courtyard, Ali'i became the de facto choice for the first morning's coffee due to its proximity. Located in the lobby, this place opens up early. We tried the Ube Latte the first day and man it was good. While there were so many other options in Waikiki for morning breakfast and coffee, we just went going back every day for the rest of our stay for our first caffeine of the day. Their caramel coconut latte was good too but not as great as the Ube latte. They use locally sourced Kona beans too. The staff were super polite and accommodating as well. While they do have a seating area, it's small but also never crowded. If you are in Waikīkī, this cafe is worth a try!

During peak times, be prepared to wait for your order. Their coffee can be a little pricey, but since they're conveniently located, I don't mind the wait to get my morning coffee fix here.

On the ground floor of the Courtyard Waikiki. Friendly service and nice, although a little small, interior. They can get really busy around 7:30 am, so good to get in before then is possible. The taro-ube latte (hot) is very good. TheAli'l michigan waffle, and avocado toast were also very good.

We stayed at the courtyard by Marriott and the entrance is conveniently located in the lobby. I had the banana float latte and it was so delicious! Service is fast and friendly and they offer kamaaina discount too! My son had their açaí bowl and he gobbled it all r

The only place opened nearby our hotel in the AM. I woke up extra early while on vacay and of course I love my morning coffee. This was only a few blocks away. I ordered a ube latte and avocado toast. They were both absolutely delicious. There's red pickled onions in the toast making it come together perfectly. My tastebuds were dancing!! I loved it! There was a line when I got there and the sun wasn't even out yet. But I can see why people come here. Service is quick and the food is very good.

We came here a few times over our stay and it was wonderful every time. The ube flavored coffee drinks was delicious and so was the matcha. The yogurt cup was so light and filling and the breakfast sandwich was delicious. The chips, so flavorful with hot honey. The staff were also so kind. The space is a bit small, but it's cute.

Small cafe in a hotel, convenient for anyone staying but also a solid location close to everything. Service was great, super friendly. Strawberry Matcha Latte - good balance of ingredients, solid flavor when mixed! Only downside was the matcha being somewhat powdery and not whisked very well. There were some clumps at the bottom but the sips at the top were great.

Very nice people here. I like that they have a friend of the week (a furry friend!) Their ube latte is strong!! Very strong ube flavor, yum! It is located inside a hotel so the cafe is a little small with limited seating.

Local breakfast sandwich & iced salted honey cinnamon latte.

I wanted a good breakfast so I asked the hotel staff and they actually said go to the café downstairs. I had the iced salted cinnamon honey latte & the local breakfast sandwich. It had Portuguese sausage, red onion, tomato & egg on a croissant. It was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had. The staff is super friendly. Shout out to the ladies and gent who gave me some cool hikes. Btw that pillbox hike was no joke.

Was looking to grab some coffee before exploring and this place was down the street from my airbnb. Saw they had a taro ube latte and I was immediately sold. First - the rich, deep color is gorgeous. I've never had anything ube with such a dark purple color. I would say the looks match the taste. The flavor is very rich and strong so keep that in mind. Overall delicious!

This coffee shop is tucked in the Courtyard Marriott. I love all things ube so i had to try their ube latte which i really liked although it is on the sweeter side. I also got their lomi salmon on an everything bagel and it was a nice lil brekkie. Service is great and didn't have to wait long for our order. Will definitely be back!

I found this cafe tucked away during the first day of an incredible vacation to Waikiki. After this initial visit, I had decided that this was the best location to order an ube latte and made numerous trips back during my vacation! The staff are very friendly and are expert level baristas with their pour game! Their food and/or beverages paired with the pleasant atmosphere will instantly transport you from stressed and jet lagged to relaxed and refreshed!

Just as good as I remembered, maybe even better! Friendly service as always. Now that I've had both hot and cold versions of the Taro Ube, the hot is definitely better.

First, over time, they switched from white bread to whole wheat, which I can understand if they want it to appear healthier. Now it wasn't delicious anymore, but still acceptable. More recently, when I tried it again, the taste seemed off. To my taste, the recipe has changed. I didn't just try one, I tried a second sandwich as well. It is no longer even okay. I will no longer purchase it.

I got their Hawaiian latte-- macademia and coconut which was a little on the sweeter side for me. And my friends got various smoothies which were all really good. We also shared an acai bowl that was super fresh and had strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. They have indoor and outdoor seating and other pastries and items on the menu to order. Super close to Waikīkī beach if you want to enjoy on the beach as well. Service was great, workers were friendly and kind. There were some birds around trying to come for our fruit. Not too sure about parking since it's in a pretty busy area.

This place was just two blocks away, so we braved the November misty rain and consistent wind through the buildings to make it over here. To be fair, this seemed more like a Vietnamese coffee joint and a Banh Mi place... so maybe coming here for pho wasn't our best idea. They had two kinds available that night-- beef and chicken. Since chicken pho is not something I'm willing to try, we both ordered up the dac biet. The broth was bland with a thin and unpleasant veil of grease along the top that congealed quickly on the rim of the bowl. It wasn't hot enough, or maybe the pre-cooked and chilled noodle block they poured it over cooled it off. Meat was chewy and low quality. The sprouts and basil were soggy and wilted. Honestly, it was a get up and leave kind of thing. The whole place was just dingy and didn't feel great. I've eaten at some very modest places in my native San Gabriel Valley in Southern California, so it's not a snobbery thing. It's a "someone get a Swiffer wet jet and some paper towels and give this whole place a once-over. Speaking of once, that's the sum total of times we'll ever eat here. I will be drooling over this coffee until I return. It has coffee, sea salt caramel, a scoop of ice cream, and black sea salt. Already it sounds delicious and it was. I finished my drink within 5 minutes. I didn't order any food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The menu is extensive with plenty of options, making it a great place for brunch whether you're craving something sweet or savory. The café also has a small section selling Island Vintage merchandise, which is fun to browse while you're waiting. If you choose to sit outside, don't be surprised if a few birds decide to join you for breakfast and they're regulars too.. Overall, despite the longer wait for drinks, the quality of the coffee, inviting atmosphere, and tempting menu make this a spot I'd happily visit again.

And you're going to need that for your day jaunting across Waikiki in your new seal-print bathing suit. So ditch that Moko Loko and grab yourself a beautiful sandwich from Sprout, you'll feel a lot better about your trip to Hawaii. I love that Sprout has vegetable-forward options even in their meat-based sandwiches. The pesto chicken salad was loaded with beautiful green goodies which made this treat as aesthetically pleasing as it was delectable. They're also slapping down some of the best local Hawaiian ingredients into these here sanguines. The pesto itself was mac-nut based, which was intriguing. I'll be honest, I couldn't taste the difference between that and a pine nut pesto, but it was friggin delish pesto either way. The only downside I can think of is that the bread here lands somewhere between "ok" and "good". I've never had a bread quite like it, but it reminds me of a mix between an artisanal white bread, and a painini bread that you would find in Italy. It got the job done, but I feel like it could be upgraded. Sprout is worth a visit before or after your beach trip. The surrounding neighborhood is also a lively area with tons of fun restaurants and shopping.
