    Chuns Breakfast Bomber

Friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a little outdoor patio to eat with some picnic tables after they hand out your food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Burrito was exactly what you'd think it would be: a meat bomb lol. However, pork was cold.

Shared the avocado BLT and the bbq pork bomber burrito. The avocado BLT was pretty standard. The bbq pork bomber burrito was good. Pork was quite juicy and burrito was overall flavorful and well-balanced. Loved the Maui onion potato chips that came with both of them. They were out of dole whip when I stopped by on a Tuesday morning unfortunately.

We were looking for a place to grab dinner in the go, and decided we wanted to stick to Hawaiian food since we were in Hawaii. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place looked kind of cool, and we liked that kalua pork was in the menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is no dining room--rather there is a collection of wooden tables under string lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Being near the International Marketplace, there was quite a bit of bustle (even on a Tuesday night) and it was nice to sit and watch the people go by.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both ordered the pork plate. It came with rice and a salad. Unfortunately, I didn't love it. Kalua pork is usually juicy and succulent. This was dry shredded pork. The sauce was quite good though. I didn't care for the salad dressing, but hubby did. We also ordered a iced Hawaiian coffee, and that was quite good All in all, this place got us fed, but I probably would not go back. Hubby said we might, though.

Super unassuming spot. I've driven by it several times before finally deciding to try it after reading a few things online, and I'm glad I did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of outdoor seating and a solid variety of food options, but I went with the Haleiwa Bomber breakfast burrito.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Honestly, one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. No exaggeration. And the kalua pork inside it might be the best I've had - crispy but tender, flavorful, and so addictive. Everything about it just hits that ideal balance of simple, filling, and really well-executed. Service was easygoing, the vibe is relaxed, and it feels like a true local breakfast spot.

This was so refreshing and a lot for $8ish.. sorry can't recall the whole total... I did get 10% off for being kama'aina

Konos is a 10/10 in my books! We tried different types of burritos and everything was just so great!! Specially the pork! They also have a selection of sauces which you can also buy a bottle of it. While waiting in line they offered free dole whip as well, they're so nice!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a small outdoor sitting area where we enjoyed our food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also have a points system where you earn points every time you go so you get freebies! Can't wait to go back!

    Pig on Grass

It's been a while, but I finally made my way back to Kono's Northshore Waikīkī for the Pig on the Grass and it did not disappoint. The pulled pork is smoky, tender, and full of flavor. Paired with fresh greens and topped with their guava BBQ sauce and papaya seed dressing, everything comes together really well. The combination is simple but seriously delicious. Portion size is very generous, especially for Waikīkī, and easily filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was friendly, and seating is in a shared public space right in front of the shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, still one of my favorites, great food and lots of good memories tied to this spot. ^^,

    Emily G.

Popular for their breakfast burrito bombers but who says you can't have it at night. There was no line at 8pm and Haleiwa burrito was ready in ~10 mins. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Grab and go type of place but lots of public outdoor seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It had decent amount of egg and pork filling but felt greasy and was missing some spice or flavor so it definitely needs the side salsa with it. For $17, burrito seemed a little smaller than I expected. They offer samples of the dole whip, which is refreshing little dessert after the burrito!

Came for dole whip and it was delicious for under 10.00. I never tried their food only come for the dole Whip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have benches now that you can sit[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pupukea Breakfast Bomber: Eggs, potatoes, grilled onions and peppers
    Dan D.

If you're not a pork eater, skip it. The non-pork options at Kono's are really disappointing. I didn't detect any salt in the admittedly and tantalizingly fluffy scrambled eggs in my pupukea breakfast bomber. The promised potatoes were only in half of the giant burrito, also bland. The oily grilled onions and peppers had no flavor. The salsa added a critical sauce component, but they only gave me half a container of it. My tortilla was limp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are also plenty of flies and some birds hanging around the place, making it hard to sit down there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food looked so good from the pictures, but never again.

Great little spot for breakfast burritos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a few tables outside so it's a quick place to get a bite to eat venture out and enjoy Waikiki.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the Waimea breakfast burrito, which just has a lot of bacon and they did not disappoint. Cooked fresh and was absolutely delicious. The person taking our order was friendly and didn't have to wait too long to get my order.

    Biscuits & Gravy Plate

The service was amazing! I'm sure the owner was the one taking the orders and he was talking to everyone engaging them in conversations. The food was amazing tbh I LOVE biscuits and gravy. The owner told me if I needed to adjust anything to coffee to come back and he'll fix it. Will be back!!!

I wanted to try this breakfast spot after seeing people lining up in the morning, so I finally found the time to stop by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd recommend ordering your food and taking it over to International Mall to eat since the seating there is cleaner and shaded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered two burritos: one Waimea burrito and one Kalua burrito. They were essentially the same, with the only difference being that one had bacon and the other did not. The Waimea burrito contained Kalua pork, eggs, potato, and cheese. It was a decent burrito. The tortilla was nicely toasted, and it was wrapped well. There was a good amount of eggs and cheese, scrambled together and placed inside, and you could definitely taste the Kalua pork. The pork was juicy and spread throughout the burrito. My only complaint was that there was barely any potato or large chunks of it in the burrito. The complimentary salsa was also disappointing. I felt like the burrito needed it to tie everything together, but it tasted more like store-bought or premade salsa. I would have preferred a thinner, more flavorful salsa that was easier to scoop onto the burrito. The Kalua burrito was the same as above, but I was impressed that it came with a nice, big slice of bacon, larger than what most spots usually give.

This place was just two blocks away, so we braved the November misty rain and consistent wind through the buildings to make it over here. To be fair, this seemed more like a Vietnamese coffee joint and a Banh Mi place... so maybe coming here for pho wasn't our best idea. They had two kinds available that night-- beef and chicken. Since chicken pho is not something I'm willing to try, we both ordered up the dac biet. The broth was bland with a thin and unpleasant veil of grease along the top that congealed quickly on the rim of the bowl. It wasn't hot enough, or maybe the pre-cooked and chilled noodle block they poured it over cooled it off. Meat was chewy and low quality. The sprouts and basil were soggy and wilted. Honestly, it was a get up and leave kind of thing. The whole place was just dingy and didn't feel great. I've eaten at some very modest places in my native San Gabriel Valley in Southern California, so it's not a snobbery thing. It's a "someone get a Swiffer wet jet and some paper towels and give this whole place a once-over. Speaking of once, that's the sum total of times we'll ever eat here. I will be drooling over this coffee until I return. It has coffee, sea salt caramel, a scoop of ice cream, and black sea salt. Already it sounds delicious and it was. I finished my drink within 5 minutes. I didn't order any food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The menu is extensive with plenty of options, making it a great place for brunch whether you're craving something sweet or savory. The café also has a small section selling Island Vintage merchandise, which is fun to browse while you're waiting. If you choose to sit outside, don't be surprised if a few birds decide to join you for breakfast and they're regulars too.. Overall, despite the longer wait for drinks, the quality of the coffee, inviting atmosphere, and tempting menu make this a spot I'd happily visit again.

In my sandwich, the turkey was flavorless and it felt like they used a strong, heavy sauce to give it flavor, which to me does not make for a foodie destination, $15+ sandwich. Māla Market in Hawaii Kai remains, by far, my favorite sandwich. And given how long Sprout took, I could've driven to Hawaii Kai, gotten my sandwich, and driven back in less time.
