I was staying at the Doubletree Alana Waikiki for work for a week. The Hiking Hawaii Cafe is located on the lower level of the hotel with an entrance from the outside and from inside the hotel. I had breakfast here 5 times before heading out to work! Highly recommend the Summit açaí Bowl! Probably the best açaí bowl I have had! The portion is large with lots of açaí, granola, fresh fruit and drizzle of honey! I ended up getting it 4 times! Highly recommend it! Skip the breakfast burrito tho. It was nothing special. Not on the same level as the açaí bowl! The breakfast sandwich was also very good! If you are staying at the hotel, you can get the food to take back to your room- they pack it up very nicely and charge an extra 50 cents for "to go" orders. read more

Solid place to go, especially if you're staying in the Doubletree. Lots of options and affordable prices. You get 10% off if you're staying at the hotel too. I had the street corn burrito (interesting, not my favorite), the green bowl twice (quite tasty, saved the rest of the green bowl as a smoothie for later), and had a mexican chocolate latte and a regular latte (liked the regular better). The place had a strangely dirty feel to it--nothing was outright terrible, but it just didn't feel clean or well-kept, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the visit. The overall vibe was also a bit off. It felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable, like something was just not quite right. Unfortunately, the staff didn't help improve that impression. They came across as disengaged and like they didn't really want to be there, which made the service feel lacking. One of the big reasons we have loved Hiking Hawaii is its wide variety of offerings for all tastes and appetites. From bowls to pizza to wraps and salads, HH has got you covered. Every single item that we've tried has been so reliably delicious. My kids particularly love the bagel sandwiches and other breakfast offerings. And one of the most amazing breakfast items is the Surfer's Souffle. This is like french toast on steroids! It is simply amazing and a must try. Well, I'm back in town for a conference, and came back to one of our favorite places to eat-- Hiking hawaii cafe! I have been here 3x on this visit 2025, and have ordered their Napa panini, summit acai bowl, coco mocha coffee, and smoothies. This time I ordered their Napa panini, and acai with the granola on the side. I really love the flavor of the granola and just the purity of the acai when eaten separately. They are all very friendly, and the food waiting time was fine. (They have a sign saying if you are in a hurry, you might want to look elsewhere because they prepare their food as they are ordered.) I love this place and love coming back for more! Ambiance is cute, and DJ music is great. (Today I heard Drift Away in a reggae beat. Loved it!) This cafe was great. Me and my hubby loved the maps they had as we planned things to do while our food was being cooked. Breakfast was amazing, I had the avocado toast and honestly the best I've had in a whole (they give you two eggs with it) and my hubs had the street corn burrito (he was blown away by the taste). Important to read multiple reviews as we are staying in the hotel it's in, and when checking the last review was a little startling, but everyone before absolutely loved it. So yeah, these reviews are cool and all, but trust the crowd I guess (we happy to be part of the crowd). We'll definitely be back a second time on Sunday (our last day) to try this famous soufflé they have. Can't wait read more

This souffléd French toast was absolutely incredible. Light, airy, and just sweet enough, with a subtle orange flavor that made it feel fresh and unique. Every bite had that perfect balance of richness and brightness, like breakfast and dessert had a very classy baby. I added the bacon on the side, and honestly, it felt like it belonged there all along. It was crisp in all the right places and still juicy inside. Not too salty, not too greasy. Just really well done. You can tell the kitchen cares about the details. The texture of the toast was perfect, and the orange hint didn't overpower anything. It just worked. If you're on the fence, don't be. This is the kind of breakfast that turns your whole morning around. I will 100% be re-visiting Hawaii, exclusively because of this French toast lol. 10/10. This place is a hidden gem! We were staying in The Hilton Hawaiian village and sadly it took until our last day to find this! The food far exceeds several of the places we ate at for lunch in the Hawaiian Village. I think the cashier was the owner and walked us through the menu. I had one of the items off the daily special menu with ham, eggs, feta cheese and more amazingness that he recommended and it was outstanding with several meat options if u wish not to have ham and my hubby had the sausage pizza which was way better than the pizza at the Hawaiian village pizza place. The service and hospitality was outstanding as the cashier came out from behind the register to walk us through all the options and recommendations. After a bite of the wrap/burrito we placed an order for the next day for our pre airplane trip as we were leaving early.
