I went to Hawaii for a week, and this was one of my favorite coffee shops that I visited daily. Everything was great, including the food. I especially loved the iced coffee and the excellent customer service. I had the macadamia nut iced latte, and it was wonderful. It is located on a popular street but is somewhat hidden.
This place located inside Hyatt hotel and very convenient to the hotel guest. I just grabbed a cup of cappuccino and large piece of lemon loaf to go before heading out to the beach. Solid cup of coffee and lemon cake. Service was great, they had few seating area also and the place was not overly crowded. Highly recommended.
Solid final day coffee stop.... Wanted one more Macnut latte before we left Oahu, so we went to Kai. Got the Kai (macnut latte) with coconut milk. Espresso quality was great, and macnut flavor was light and not too sweet. Still prefer island vintage, but overall solid spot. Barista was nice and located in a walkable outdoor mall.
During our stay at the Hyatt Regency Spa and Hotel, my husband and I stopped by this little spot the Kai Coffee Shop. We both had cold coffee in the morning, and it was the perfect start to the day. The weather warmed up quickly, which we're not used to since we're from Seattle. By the middle of the day, we were feeling tired and decided to return to the coffee shop. I explained how I was feeling, and the staff kindly recommended the Bullseye, which is drip coffee with an espresso shot. It was surprisingly smooth, perfectly hot, and hit the spot exactly when I needed it.
This is a solid place to grab your daily coffee. Kai Coffee is a local chain coffee shop, and this location is along Kalakaua Avenue, specifically in the Pualeilani Atrium Shops, the shopping plaza located inside the Hyatt Regency. The shop is easy to spot, as it's next to a large water feature. The cafe itself is open, bright, and clean, with a straightforward selection of caffeinated drinks and pastries. If you prefer to sit indoors, there are some seats at a long high top table, otherwise there are plenty of tables outdoors to sit and enjoy your drink at. Service is super quick and friendly, which is always nice! I ordered a latte with oat milk, which came out within minutes. I really liked my drink, as it was well-balanced and creamy despite there being no sweetener. This will definitely become a go-to coffee shop for me if I'm ever craving a well-made latte, and I'll have to try their baked goods as well. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area!
Part of a local chain, this location is nestled in an outdoor mall next to the Hyatt. I went around 9a on a Tuesday and there were plenty of tables available, along with minimal foot traffic to the neighboring stores. I appreciate that the signature Kai latte uses macadamia nut flavoring, which is the iconic regional flavor. It isn't overly sweet like Starbucks' syrups. That said, it probably would impart a pleasant layer of flavor if it were paired with the right roast, which it isn't here. Artisanal espresso, this ain't. Service was fast and friendly, classically Hawaiian.
Consistently good coffee. We were very close to Kona Coffee purveyors but are not fans of standing in 20+ people lines for coffee so we went to Kai coffee in the Hyatt Regency instead. It was a pleasant morning walk and the coffee shop is right by these beautiful waterfalls in the indoor outdoor atrium making it a very pleasant, peaceful way to start the day.
More Kai Coffee branches have been popping up. I wasn't thrilled when I got their signature drink when they first opened. I talked to an employee and tried another coffee a second time and it was not better. But, I did like their acai bowl. It was good timing when I came back for a third time. It wasn't busy and I was able to ask the barista about getting a strong iced caffeinated coffee. Kai coffee doesn't refrigerate their leftover coffee. They actually make cold brew! That, with an extra shot of espresso, liquid sugar and cream made it the best cold brew! Now, I definitely recommend Kai coffee. They have more table and chairs in the Hyatt Regency hotel area next to Kai's that's shaded.
I was completely disappointed with my drink here. And service was only slightly better than the treatment of the drink. I ordered a macadamia frappe and that thing was too dang icy to the point where it was just too much. We all know ice is a huge component of frappes but this drink had no cohesiveness of the ingredients in the drink. Honestly, they just took my money because you already know it's Honolulu and it's not cheap. For ambience the place is really small, but they do have a good amount of seating right outside the shop. Girl, I don't know, but I ain't wasting nine dollars on this again. Plus it's small.
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki and discovered this coffee shop near the shops downstairs. We tried the Kai Latte (macadamia nut latte) and it was absolutely delicious. Service was quick, and the location is super convenient in the center of Waikiki. The dining and shopping area inside the Hyatt is beautiful, and even if you're not staying there, it's definitely worth a visit!
Good oat cappuccino and açaí bowl - though disappointed no almond butter or other add ons available. It was also quite sweet overall for my taste but the honey added a distinct flavor that was good. Texture of the açaí was spot on- smooth not icy. Overall 4/5 from someone who's been eating a lot of açaí bowls lately. Fast service and in the bottom floor of the hotel if you're staying in the Hyatt so quite convenient to grab and go. Looks like they have other breakfast wrap options as well that look pretty solid but didn't get a chance to try.

Kai Latte was great and house coffee was great. Staff were very friendly and fast both taking the order and making the beverages. Would recommend this spot for a drink. Establishment was clean and had ample seating as well. read more
Solid coffee spot! Small comes with two shots and large comes with three shots. I tried the Kai latte and regular latte which were good though I didn't really feel like the Kai latte had a strong macadamia flavor (was very subtle). It was not very sweet. There's like around 7 tables or places to sit and when I went at 11AM on a Saturday it was quite open. You get wifi from the center but it's in a high traffic area so not the best work spot. Staff were very nice!! read more

Conveniently located at our hotel in Hyatt Regency Waikiki. We stopped by here at like 8:30 AM on a Saturday and it was a longggggg line. Expect long lines here lol We did a huge order for coffee and breakfast menu items. The wait to order may be long, but luckily it didn't take too long for them to prepare the drinks and sandwiches. The drinks were faster but the sandwiches did take some time. I mainly had the Kai Latte, which was the macadamia nut latte. I would say it's pretty sweet, but the macadamia nut flavor wasn't really that prominent. It was just sweet. I wish the coffee was also stronger, but it was pretty light. The sandwiches here were pretty good too. I tried the veggie breakfast sandwich which only had some greens and eggs. I tried a bite of the protein breakfast sandwich and I think I probably like that one better haha. Although, the veggie one was definitely a lot more lighter and easy to consume. The protein one probably would have been a lot more heavier for me, but a lot more flavorful. Otherwise, food and coffee are pretty solid. There are a few tables outside the coffee shop, very limited. Love the atmosphere around here! read more

I got a kai coffee with macadamia nut milk and it was extremely bitter and unflavored. I even had to ask for more milk. Kai Coffee doesn't have any free wifi, so it is not ideal at all for working. They do not have a bathroom useable by customers, and all nearby bathrooms surrounding Kai Coffee require a hotel key pass to access. The staff was friendly but for the high prices, there really are no accommodations to make this an ideal cafe to sit in. read more
Walking around Waikiki and I seen Kai coffee around and everyone holding a coffee cup. Decided to go and give this place a try. Went into one inside of the Hyatt and I got a coconut frappe with coffee. Blended smoothly with a nice coffee flavor and not too sweet and not so artificial. The coconut wasn't over powering at all. Service was quick and it's a cute little coffee shop vibe. I'd definitely come back, wanna try their iced latte next time. read more

There's a few locations in Waikiki, this one is at the Hyatt Regency. It gets pretty busy in the morning but line moves quickly. Ordered the iced Kai latte which has their signature Mac nut syrup. It's not sweet which is exactly what I wanted. Ordered it a couple times during our trip. I also got the meat breakfast wrap and this was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. Lots of seating both inside and outside. read more
Cute go-to coffee spot for my husband and I when we come to Waikīkī! The line is long, but usually goes relatively quick and the Kai latte and banana bread latte is what we usually order. The macadamia flavor isn't overpowering and the latte is never too sweet. Great spot for a morning pick me up before you hit the beach! Service is always friendly and the small outdoor cafe area is always pretty clean. read more
I had high hopes for Kai Coffee considering the long lines but it was actually kinda disappointing! I had the iced version of the banana bread latte. It wasn't very strong and also just very little banana flavor at all. I don't even think I finished it all sadly! It wasn't the worst drink but just did not live up to the hype. read more
I came here briefly en route to a bus tour and decided to stop by for some coffee. I was hoping that this spot wasn't a tourist trap and I can assure you that it's not. I got the iced caramel latte made with Macadamia milk. It was okay, but did not give me any craveworthiness (probably not a word, lol). The coffee didn't taste strong enough, so I'm assuming it's diluted. I love macadamia milk because it's frothier than most nut based milks, but this was not frothy and lacked texture. I'm not sure I'd come back here unless I can't find another spot that is better. The employees here seemed nice and were in good spirits. They didn't seem to be small tall type, but efficient with the order and are probably trying their best. There is one table here, so its more of a grab and go spot. This location is in the Hyatt Regency and man are they busy. The coffee and breakfast items are a bit spendy but you get the convenience off not having to leave the hotel. The staff was super friendly and the line moves pretty quick. I had the Kai Latte and the flavor profile was very light but it was just enough to taste the macadamia nut. read more

Great coffee spot on the main road in waikiki. Get the Kai latte iced you will not regret it. There is constantly a line but it does move and the barista are so fast with the orders. read more
Parked at the Waikiki Shopping plaza where Kai Coffee is conveniently located, in the middle of everything on the lobby level, near Sephora. The girl who helped me was super friendly and willing with suggestions since I needed my coffee fix. I ordered the Kai latter and it did NOT disappoint! So yummy, I'm obsessed! I don't like my coffee/lattes too sweet and this drink is made just for me!!! Kai coffee will definitely be my go to spot for coffee options when in the area! read more
There are not many cafes with a view of a waterfall but this spot has it and some really soild coffee. This is a popular spot and it is usually busy due to its location right across the street from the beach. They have the standard amount of drinks to choose from but the seasonal drinks really stood out to me. They recently had a cold brew with coconut cream and it delicious. This could rival a PSL h2h. The signature coffee was authentic and had soild favor with a unique taste. They must use good beans and the staff do a great job making everything. I will definitely be back and will pick up some beans to try out at home. read more

Located in the Hyatt Regency hotel, it's near the beach so easy to stop by to get a morning coffee. I like the open air space where it's located. Since it's at a hotel, there was a line but it moves quickly so the wait didn't feel long. The staff were friendly and took the orders quickly. I went with a chai latte and it was delish. Not too sweet or watery. This isn't a coffee shop where you can sit and chill. It's more of a grab and go kind of place. read more

My boyfriend and I went to the Waikiki location near the beach at 10:30am and the line was about 8-10 minutes long. The wait for our coffee was about 3 minutes. We tried the Kai special and were really good. After we left there was a line out the door. They offer milk alternatives also. Would definitely try again. read more
I'm not the 1000 review but I'm close! Amazing Kona coffee, amazing pastries, amazing view of the ocean at their cute outdoor seating. Delicious macadamia latte w m nut milk and homemade m syrup that you must try. Enjoying my last view of gorgeous breaking waves just makes my coffee taste better. read more
