Kai is a really great place for coffee! We were on a long walk, but on the way back, I really needed coffee. We stopped here and I got the Kai Coffee signature drink. I asked for macadamia milk which enhanced the flavor. This is a really good drink! So well balanced! The staff is really friendly especially under pressure because they were busy. Don't be discouraged if the lines are long, the staff move very quickly and efficiently. The coffee is ok here but the baristas do let the shots sit for a long time so it becomes a dead shot (bitter). Theres really nothing that stands out at this place except that it's a typical tourist trap. read more

So I have spent so much time in this coffee shop. I could probably file it and write it off in someway on my tax returns. So I have been drawn lots and lots of drawing because here on vacation and I am on the Artist. On top of great coffee, kind people fabulous service lovely ambience, best view. The tables are also very sturdy. So if you are working on something like a laptop. or just want some stability to your surface. This is a great spot as well. They have two locations right across the street from each other which I absolutely love one starts early in the morning the other finishes late in the evening so I can just float from one to the other. Kai has some of the best coffees on the strip. There's always a long line, it opens at 6:30, and most of the days we come at 6:30 and there's like 5 people ahead. One day we came at 7am and it was a line out the door, waited about 20-30 minutes ish. I usually get the Kai latte or the chai latte. Both good. My husband gets 3 espresso shots over ice. So convenient that this coffee shop is right around the corner from the hotel at Alohilani resort! We stayed at the hotel and I was able to make my way to this coffee shop. It was super busy in the morning, but the line moves smoothly. I tried the Kai latte, which was very good The espresso was a little bitter, but flavor overall was good. I ordered two açai bowls and their açai was super good. A basic acai toppings blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and honey and granola. Their granola is different. I think it has cereal flakes inside because it's super crunchy and I thought I saw it. But the fruit on top was fresh and the açai blend was super good. We parked in the Waikiki mall Parking garage and wanted to try the vintage coffee shop but it had a long wait. We opted for the Kai Coffee kiosk. The young man working was very friendly and efficient. I ordered a latte with almond milk and a small coffee with cream. The latte was actually really tasty. I noticed the lattes on the island tend to be watered down but not here! They had a few tables in from if the kiosk for guests to sit and some in front on the Main Street. For what they're serving, I think they are overpriced.. IMO. It was my turn to order and I asked the gal at the register what they had brewed for decaf, she looked puzzled at me. So I asked again, what do you guys have for decaf coffee? She said we don't. I said do you have decaf espresso? She said yes, I said ok, I will take a medium americano. The barista outing the shots had to come over and help her, asked how many shots I wanted and I said two. And normally I would order with oat milk, but Kai coffee charges $1 extra! No thanks.. We stopped in on a mission to get acai bowls for lunch. The kids ended up trying breakfast wraps, and breakfast sandwiches with meat. They were very happy. Generous portions.
