ALI'I POKE BOWL...Kalua pig, two choice poke, two choice sides all on top of rice and a Hawaiian Sun drink

The Ali'i poke plate hit da spot especially on an Aloha Friday! Guy was very hospitable by giving me a sample of every poke available.

The poke here is really good, and I love that they offer the option to get it seared. My husband and I travel to Hawaii about every other year, and I'd say the poke here comes pretty close to what you'd find there. We shared the torched salmon bowl and the Ali'i bowl with two options. We chose the Hawaii ahi and the garlic shrimp, along with the ocean seaweed salad. I like how the combo comes with a Hawaiian can drink. The only big downside for us was the very, very COLD rice. It honestly made the meal less enjoyable. I understand that hot rice could partially "cook" the poke when placed on top, but even lukewarm rice would be much better. Another idea could be instead of using the plastic bowl, use the take out box that can place the rice separately from the fish so you can combine them when eating. A sturdy paper plate would also suffice. I'd really love to come back, but cold rice is a dealbreaker for me. Also, I'd recommend skipping the huli chicken and the chicken and pork tacos, as they were on the dry side.

Tried spicy ahi and garlic crunch. Spicy ahi was 5/5 and garlic crunch was 4/5 (glad I tried it but too much crunchy onion for my taste). Fresh and reasonable portions. Very generous with the sides. They're able to switch out rice with salad for those who are carb-conscious. Friendly service, you can try a piece of any poke. Lots of seating and well air-conditioned. Easy parking situation with huge lot behind restaurant.

Always looking for a new poke spot. Sadly this disappointed. Was kind of expensive with not a lot of poke compared to how much rice. The poke was so much saltier than other places. Maybe I should've gotten seaweed salad to balance it out. Food was made quickly but the person making it was not friendly. Overall 2.75.

Very authentic Hawaiian food spot! Service is GREAT! The man who took our order was the nicest. The outdoor patio in the back is perfect for a nice day! Reasonably priced as well.

Yummy poke! Came here after a morning of pickleball. They have a window full of all their poke flavors, they have a lot but I wasn't interested in all of them because literally all of them had red chilli flakes. I get that's a popular spice to put in poke but I prefer to get poke without it. Out of all of their flavors I only found one flavor, onion limu I believe. Looking at Yelp there seems to be others but at that point I just wanted to eat. Poke was pretty good and fresh, my favorite side was their mac salad. It was really good. I also got broccoli as well. Maybe would get risky and try their loco moco.

My husband and I only came here once or twice when they operated under Ali'i Poke in El Segundo. They changed the name to Ali'i Hawaiian Grill more recently and are now in Manhattan Beach. This is one of my favorite places to get poke locally. Their seafood is always fresh and flavorsome. The owner and staff here are always super friendly and welcoming. Ambiance here is casual and clean and would make for a good quick meal. One thing I do miss about the El Segundo location is that they had an outdoor seating area. There's a dedicated carpark behind the restaurant. While the carpark is shared with a few other restaurants, we've never had trouble getting a spot here. Highly recommend for poke or Hawaiian food in the South Bay.

REGULAR POKE BOWL (onion limu & creamy garlic)

10/10 ono grindz guys!! Broke da mouth literally. The poke tasted just as if I was back on the island. I ordered a regular poke bowl (2 poke, 1 base, 1 side, 1 Hawaiian sun) with onion limu poke and creamy garlic poke, rice, and mac salad. My partner ordered the huli chicken plate with rice and salad, edamame and pickled cucumber, as well as ponzu sauce. That plate smacked just as good too. The shop is really nice and felt good vibes all around. Great service and staff were very welcoming. I definitely need to take my family here to enjoy too. Finally found a great poke spot to come back to!

Really good poke. Reminds me of this Japanese place I tried poke at for the first time years ago. I got the onion limu and spicy ahi, both were flavorful and fresh. And I really appreciate those knife cuts on the fish, they were nice and uniform. I hope to be back. Parking is easy to find in the back and service was attentive.

This place is a take out only poke store. I wish there was a place to eat in! They offer a few poke flavors. You can chose to make your own bowl there or take out just the poke. I bought 2 flavors and took it home. I forgot the name of my poke but one was salmon with crunchy garlic and the other was tuna. It was so good! We went pretty late in the day so I'm curious to see their choices earlier on in the day.

This place is really good! They recently added a creamy garlic crunch and we were able to sample it. It definitely made my whole bowl 10 times better! I love how they give you a free Hawaiian sun with every bowl. It was really nice that they had outdoor seating as well on a sunny day. The mural on the wall was super pretty! Staff was really kind and really conversational! He even brought out our food for us.

Oh, I will definitely be back. My friend and I were welcomed in a warm, Hawaiian style greeting by the Poke master. The interior was quiet and quaint, came after the lunch rush for a late meal and left quite satisfied and full. LOCATION : On Sepulveda Blvd, opposite from the Manhattan Beach USPS, hidden in a shipping alcove with two other restaurants (nestled between the Big Wok Mongolian BBQ and Indians Tandoori Halal Restaurant). Ample free parking in the back. FOOD: Enjoyed my regular Poke bowl with two proteins - Sweet and Spicy Ahi and Garlic Crunch Ahi with Lomi Salmon side (think Pico de gallo with salmon poke bits). Poke tasted fresh, fish was well seasoned and NO fishy after taste! (Note: Spicy anything has a kick!) Satisfying portion as pictured. The Huli Chicken Loco had a light teriyaki taste and also fresh and delicious. my friend devoured it! The meal came with your choice of Hawaiian Sun (fruity Hawaiian soda) which complemented the meal well! AMBIANCE : CLASSY. CLEAN. QUIET. (we went after 3PM) Friendly host and cheerful Poke Sample giver (you can try each flavor!) PRICE : Regular Poke Bowl was $14, which included 2 AMPLE scoop of protein, a choice of a side and a Hawaiian Sun. That's a delicious price - the large Poke comes with this PLUS other extras as pictured (just not extra Poke protein). YES -- take advantage of their Happy Hour (3-7PM) and try the Smoke Ahi Dip with their Homemade Flavored Tortilla Crisps (salty but good!). Delish! Rather a hidden gem, looking forward to the next visit!

My first time trying this place out and it was amazing! I ordered the small plate with 2 poke and a side. The side is either rice or a salad. The service was super personable. You are able to sample the poke which i loved! I ask for a recco and the guy told me onion limu was his personal fave so I ordered that and the ponzu salmon. Very flavorful and so tender. There is a happy hour menu from 3-7pm, I definitely want to go back for that was they have $5 poke ala carte. Parking isn't bad and plenty of seating. Can't wait to try more!

The cozy swinging chairs, the lush creeping greenery, and the peaceful vibe make you want to linger a little longer. But as beautiful as the space is, the real star is the food. Absolutely delectable. Every single thing on the menu looked incredible, and somehow they managed to deliver on every bite. It's rare that I can honestly say I'd order anything on a menu--but this is one of those places. If you're anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You truly can't go wrong. I'll be back again and again, every chance I get.

At some places I've had açaí bowls that start melting almost immediately, but this one stayed thick and dense the entire time. I would definitely come back for it again. The blue matcha was okay. Next time I'd probably try the regular matcha instead. I'm taking off half a star only because the matcha came out much later and we were almost finished with our açaí bowl by the time it arrived, but it wasn't a big deal. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the music added to the vibe. Overall, I'd recommend this place and would happily come back.

You go in for what you know, and that already gets you caught up, but then you also want to try something new because there's always something new to try. Sometimes it's a gamble, sometimes it's amazing and you're like "OMG! I need this every time," and sometimes you're like "what was that?" And you really don't know what it was because the descriptions aren't in English. The staff is always super friendly. If you go for hot food during lunchtime, you will get caught up because you'll want to pile your plate high and forget they weigh it & you can easily end up with a $24 plate on top of all your groceries. They have great sweet treats that aren't super high in sugar, which is a plus. Their ramens are my favorite. I've probably tried every one. My favorite is the one with the black pieces in it (I think they're mushrooms). I still haven't tried the mushrooms, but the creamy broth mix is everything. Their sparkling sodas are always delicious. My favorite is the Hello Kitty strawberry one. I told all my friends about it, and me and my sister go regularly. My sister loves the banana milk! Definitely recommend!

The thing that's good about going to Tokyo central for premade sushi is that they make all their sushi fresh daily and what's not sold is marked down and got rid of before next day compared to other markets where they sell their sushi that's like 2-4 days old. They went viral for awhile for having a hot food bar, which looked like a buffet but in reality you grab what you want but it's $15.99 a pound. The pound adds up really quick and you end with paying like $30. The food isn't that great in the hot food bar in my option so I'd skip it. The market itself is very pricey it's not a cheap market. So if your planning on buying grocery your gonna pay high prices. I'd go here for a quick sushi roll or some mochi they sell a bag from Japan for $3.99 with red bean that's pretty good. One of my favorite food item is the umami chicken karage with rice that's pre packaged and if you can snag it while it's still hot that great. Its usually on a separate table on in the refrigerated section, It's the one with some teriyaki sauce over it, not the regular one. As you exit you can grab utensils, napkins, wasabi. ginger, soy sauce. Parking is a hit and miss, it's a popular market if you go there at lunch time it's packed or weekends. Personally I drop by to get a quick bite, sushi roll or chicken karage . They do have a food court that has a Japanese bakery, takoyaki , a katsu place. Upstairs they have a sushi bar which is unique I havnt tried it but seems a bit pricey but looks like quality. Looking for something Japanese in food wise, this would be one of the places to go to look for it. I don't know why it seems like every Asian market I've been to is so cramped and hardly any space when trying to get around with a cart. It's the same here.t
