Just finished having dinner here and it was delightful. We greatly enjoyed the tuna sashimi and flounder sashimi. The jack roll was also excellent ! The space is intimate and was busy ! The service also was great. Would definitely go back !

This is a relatively new sushi restaraunt. Honestly couldnt ask for better. Sushi was very good quality, and the rest of the items I ordered was very good too. They also had a good selection of alcohol. What surprised me the most was their 9 piece plate for 45 dollars (as of the date of this review). 5 per piece is a bargain, ive seen worse prices for less than decent sushi before. My only small complaint was that the rice was unseasoned. But didnt really take away from the taste.

They have a variety of lunch specials, including a sashimi combo meal with 8 pieces, salad, rice, and choice of a side. So good. My sons ordered a sushi lunch combo, tempura kids meal, and some gyoza/soft shell crab -- all delicious. As a treat we also ordered the A5 Wagyu (which they allowed us to order for lunch). It was prepared table side and was just incredible. Our server Kelly was amazing! Loved her great recommendations, and she constantly checked in with us. Her German/Ecuadorian heritage coincided with an upcoming World Cup match, so having her as our server was extremely fortuitous. The restaurant ambiance is simple yet welcoming along the main road. Parking was a little crowded but we found street parking not far away. I love how they have a waitlist and how food came out really quickly. They have their own special soy sauce recipe! We ordered some takeout food on the side and Kelly was on top of it all. Thanks to Kelly, the delicious food and fast service, this place is exceptional and gets high marks for me. I highly recommend checking out this place.

Parking was okay; I was able to easily find a parking spot and she took a little bit longer to find a parking spot. I was very hungry so I ordered kind of a lot of food: the shrimp tempura, the shishito peppers, a crunch roll with shrimp, and a vegan vegetable roll. Everything I ordered was actually really good. The main issue that I had was that there were a lot of flies in the restaurant. There were a lot of small flies but also the big kind of flies that fly around and that made the meal a little bit unpleasant. The servers were super friendly and attentive and the meal was otherwise good. I'm not sure if I'll come back because of the whole fly situation but at least the food was good

This time, I noticed this location offers special Gozen set meals that I hadn't seen before. They had a limited Dinner Gozen on the menu with only 10 sets available each night. Of course I had to order it. The set came with a little bit of everything: sushi, sashimi, katsu, eel rice, toro rice, ikura rice, soba, a variety of small cold side dishes, soup, and salad. It was a huge meal and I was honestly surprised I managed to finish the whole thing. I really enjoyed it because you get to try so many different items in one meal. If you're like me and love Japanese food, this is a great way to sample a little bit of everything without having to order a bunch of separate dishes. Everything tasted fresh and the quality was excellent. The restaurant itself isn't very big, so it can get pretty busy. They do take reservations though, which I'd recommend if you're planning to come during dinner. Overall, I really enjoyed this special Gozen meal and would definitely come back. It was a fun experience and a great value for the variety and quality of food you get.

It came with a salad, miso soup, ribeye steak, assorted tempura, tuna and albacore sashimi, pork cutlet, soba noodles, and sides. Everything I had was delicious. I especially enjoyed the steak, sashimi, and pieces of tempura. The steak, which came out sizzling hot on a skillet, was smoky, salty, and tender, the sashimi was fresh, and the shrimp tempura was crunchy. What impressed me most was that every item was served at the right temperature. The steak was hot, the soba was cold, and the sashimi was cool. Pretty amazing considering they were all served at the same time! Some closing thoughts before I wrap this review up. -The service was outstanding. The main dishes came out super fast. -I would recommend getting reservations if you're coming on a Saturday evening. I came here right at opening and most of the tables were already reserved. -If you're planning to order one of the gozen sets, you should come hungry, because you're going to get a lot of food. I would recommend this place 100%. For the quality, amount, and variety of food you're getting, as well as the reasonable price, I'm not sure how this place can be beat.

Now that we got that out of the way. Shit damn was this place good! We ordered the Don't think just eat trust me. I think it's like 60$ per. Start with cold edamame and I've never had them cold but they were good. Then sliced tuna with some tangy soy sauce that started the meal off with a bang. And I don't mean just any bang like the kind you tell your friends about. Next was a plate with 6 pieces of sashimi and to be honest I know one was salmon which I normally don't like but this was like butter in my mouth. Freaked awesome. The other two also were great. Then a hand rolled crab I think which also hit the spot followed by my sashimi. It was all great except like fish 5 of 6 or 6 of 7 who knows. It looked like mini lobsters on rice. And it wasn't that I didn't like it it was more the texture that I didn't care for. Just too chewy for sushi. There was also some sort of tuna with mint leave under it and some skin on the fish that wasn't my favorite. But over all this place kicks ass. If you live sushi this is a much for sure. Love to go back.

With the USA getting a massive FIFA win, my New York Knicks finally taking home the NBA Finals Championship, and the Carolina Hurricanes defeating the Vegas Knights for the Stanley Cup, my friends and I needed a top-tier spot to celebrate. There was no question we were heading straight to Dash Dashi in Manhattan Beach. Located right near the pier on Manhattan Ave, Dash Dashi perfectly blends that laid-back South Bay coastal energy with incredibly refined sushi. We walked in buzzing from the games, and the staff matched our energy perfectly. The service here is always attentive and friendly. We kicked off the celebration with a round of their premium chilled sake and an order of their spicy garlic edamame. Do yourself a favor and do not skip the edamame--the hot spice blend is dangerously addictive and pairs perfectly with the sake. But let's talk about the main event. If you follow my channel, you already know I come here for one specific reason: the off-menu "KG Roll." The chefs know exactly how to make this custom signature roll for me, and it is a masterpiece every single time. The fish is insanely fresh and buttery, and it has the exact right balance of heat and crunch. Seriously, ask the chef if they can whip up the Kristina Farberman special (the KG Roll)--you will not regret it! Whether you're celebrating a historic weekend of sports sweeps or just looking for some of the best sushi in the South Bay, Dash Dashi never misses. Highly recommend! -- Kristina Farberman

Glad I trusted my gut last night because it was an awesome experience. Parked in front - street parking. No meters but free after six. Pulled in just before. I've not had issues parking in El Segundo. There are lots as well as residential side streets if you can't find any on Main. At least that's the case for me. Just remember to check the signs. I sat at the counter and experienced attentive, friendly and great service. There are tables as well as a semi-enclosed booth (for larger parties). TV over the bar playing an NBA game. I wouldn't say it's a spot to go to, to watch the game. It's all about the food. Again, it's all about the food. See pics. Went for a Cucumber Salad. Liked it the least. Wished it was marinated longer. Fresh and crunchy but would have enjoyed almost pickled. And more rice vinegar. Anyway - liked it the least but still liked it enough to polish it off. There was the Yakitori. Really enjoyed the flavor and sauce but it was white meat so on the dry side for me. I prefer dark. Massive salad which I didn't - couldn't finish. Then there was the Sashimi. It wasn't on the menu but i asked about a Sashimi Combo. 15 pieces and what has been the best Sashimi I've had this year so far. Pieces melting on my tongue - epitome of Umami. The red snapper had a nice light sweetness that made me save those pieces for last. I wanted to order more but was so full trying to polish off the salad that came with the Yakitori that I just promised myself that I'd just have to come back. It's Happy Hour all day on Mondays according to the staff. Guess I know when I'll be making my return visit. A definite hidden gem.

The rice was a bit too salty and overshadowed the meat. For rolls, we tried the Katana, Gensai, and White Lotus. Katana was definitely my favorite: balanced, clean, and delicious.
