they made our getaway easy, and were responsive on minor issues with our condo! we were in the kihei surfside which is in a unique part of kihei, near a great spot for snorkeling and a 22 minute walk along the beach to wailea.

Unit 219's original pipe that needed to be replaced

So very disappointed with Ali'i Resorts. They manage the condo above mine and over the past few years their poor maintenance has caused three leaks from their master bath into mine. This last one was the worst with mold resulting. I was so happy I was here to take care of it and did not have Guests. The other times there had been a leak they "added" a wax ring to the toilet. There were three wax rings and a faulty flange. Had Ali'i done the repairs correctly the two previous leaks, this leak would not have occurred. Thankfully, the Royal Mauian Building manager oversaw what they were doing and insisted they do it correctly. I had someone come out and identify where there was moisture and mold, had it all taken out, treated and repaired. Neither Ali'i nor the owner above us would share in the cost even though it was through their negligent maintenance and previous repairs. I am disappointed with both Ali-i and the "not so good"neighbors above us.

Finished staying at the Royal Mauian in west Kihei. We have vacationed there every time we return to Maui and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The condo is serviced by Ali'i Resorts and we couldn't be more happier. The staff provided all my needs in total preparation for our stay. Making Sure we arrived safely and keeping contact with us upon arrival. I tell you coming to a super clean condo and filled with plenty of everything including plenty of towels and bathroom items. Fully equipped kitchen with a very nice welcome bag makes a long plane trip fade away. The staff is 5 star awesome and there always friendly over the phone and helpful answering all my questions. It's so reassuring knowing AR will take care of my reservations and make my vacation stay a 5 Star great experience. Thank you for your Sevices and hope to see you soon. Cheers

DO NOT rent from this company. We just got completely ripped off! We scheduled a vacation in Kihei for September. Then the Lahaina fire happened.... We were so torn as to what to do. Knowing we were out of the cancellation period, we toyed with the idea of still going since we weren't going to west Maui. Upon communication with the resort we were gaslighted completely and I sent an email two days after the fire broke out with very real concerns about coming and we were told in a return email 'the weather is beautiful here in Kihei. We can't wait to welcome your Ohana'. Our concerns were never regarded and we were told that since the governor said only west Maui was closed, it would be on our dime if we cancelled. Today, after all of our excursions canceled activities, we decided to ask about postponement and again we were gaslighted. No straight answer for anything. So we decided to go to Oahu instead. It's SO disrespectful that we were gaslighted so, and that they obviously care only about money and not the people who are without homes and jobs. I blame myself for not getting insurance on our accommodations but I also think this is the lowest form of humanity. When your neighboring town burns down and you employee tourists to come anyway despite shortages, despite their pain, despite the lack of resources- come lay on our beach and take away from someone who has lost everything. DISGUSTING.

have been home from Maui and my stay at Kihei surfside unit #503 for about 3 weeks now. Rented via Ali'i resorts, llc THere were a few things that my stay left to be desired unfortunately.   To start: The street closures on South Kihei road, in several places at a time, made it impossible to get around.  I gave up at times trying to get to where I needed to get to- and had to cancel some appointments due to it. I think it would have been fair if Ali'i resorts had given me a heads up on this, since apparently (according to their road closure website) you have known this since February of last year (2022)  You should have given me the information at the time of reservation and you should have given me the option to not go during the time when all these road closures are still in affect.  Also, the building across the parking lot from Kihei Surfside is remodeling of  a brand new restaurant, and the trailer in which they threw all their junk was straight across from unit #503.  This made it impossible to rest or take a nap during the day.  Again, Ali'i resorts should have notified me of this prior to me making the reservations.   The fan in the front room has a noise/ hum SO loud , in order to keep my sanity I had to turn it off more then turning it on- in spite of the heat and no air conditioning..  (and I am hard of hearing and it was still way too loud)  THe unit was dusty. Very dusty.  I dusted and cleaned the bar stools underneath, because while sitting on the couch and seeing it , it was gross..  Since I was having friends come over for lunch I did not want to be embarrassed.  I started dusting the coffee tables underneath as well and finally just said "forget it"   As you know I sent you pictures of the broken glass on top of the coffee table upon my arrival.   The bed frame in the unit is awful.  THe legs of it stick out from the bed too much, so it is impossible to walk by it without seriously stubbing one's toes .  The mattress is sunken in and too soft.  THe balcony along the walkway by the front door , the whole length of the building was all ripped up and an ugly site. Who wants to stay in a place so torn up and ugly?  The whole time I was there nobody worked on it, so fixing it  is, or was, certainly not an immediate concern .  Every afternoon the lovely tradewinds come up.  It would blow the curtains in the bedroom windows and the curtains were filthy dirty, too gross to want to touch.  I will leave you a picture here as well. Some of these things I mentioned to you when I was there and you said you would discuss it .  Nothing else was done about it. I am a previous owner of a Kihei Surfside unit.  Normally the units are cleaner than this. Then again, it depends on the management company.  I had a company that did a good job . Had you been my unit manager I would replace you I will post this review on yelp as well, so that other clients may be made aware, since I do think that is what is deserved for people that spend a good amount of money to rent these places ( email was sent directly to Ali'i resorts rentals , llc)

Great service from Ali'i! They offer rental car service too (WikiWiki Rental) with easy pick up/drop off right at airport parking! No shuttle, no overcrowded rental counters. Just a text with parking spot #. Ahhh...great start to a 2 week stay at Makena Surf B304. A friendly greeting at the unit to go over all the goodies was much appreciated. This unit was great for the two of us! We didn't need the 2nd bedroom this visit but enjoyed all the other amenities this unit had to offer. The view was incomparable! Cleaning service was just right. I did bring our own laundry pods, but they supplied about 8; also supplied all paper products, dishwasher pods and Dawn. The unit had drink cooler, beach chairs and umbrella to take to the beach which was just a few steps away. We will return to Makena Surf via Ali'i Resorts! Mahalo nui loa!!

Upon entering the lobby, the staff greeted us and we found them friendly and professional. We received refreshing face towels, aluminum water bottles and digital wrist bands upon check-in to the new Kai Tower. The lobby in the Kai Tower had a water machine to fill our bottles. We loved using it upon leaving for our day's adventure and again when returning to our room. We found our room to be spacious and clean. A large seating area ran along the wall across from the bed with many large drawers underneath. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very nice, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and hardworking. We explored many other hotels while we were on Maui, and honestly, none of them compared to Grand Wailea. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, expansive, and classic. I don't agree with the reviews saying it feels run down. It isn't ultra-modern, but it has a grand, timeless, classic resort feel. The beach out front is amazing. We explored a lot of beaches on Maui, and I never found one I liked better than the beach at Grand Wailea. The resort itself also feels unmatched in size and beauty. No other hotel we saw had the same expansive grounds, pools, landscaping, and overall resort feel. That said, the biggest downside was how much everything felt overpriced. I understand Maui and luxury resorts are expensive, but Grand Wailea sometimes felt like it was nickel-and-diming guests. Valet parking is $75 per day, and when you add in tipping every time you retrieve a rental car, it gets frustrating fast. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, valet was also very slow. One night we waited over 25 minutes. The valet staff were clearly working hard, but they seemed understaffed for the volume of guests. The food pricing was also hard to justify. At the marketplace/counter-service options, we saw coffee for $7.50, hot dogs for $26, hamburgers for $32, and 12-inch pizzas around $30. You also often have to wait in a long line, and if one person is making coffee drinks, it slows the entire line down. Olivine looks beautiful, but the prices were extremely high, including a personal sausage pizza for $38. Considering the mixed reviews, we could not justify eating there. While we were there for over a week, the resort restaurants looked quite empty every day. I truly think if the restaurant prices were even 30% lower, many more guests would stay on property to eat instead of walking across the street to places like Manoli's or Island Gourmet. The pool area was beautiful, and we appreciated little touches like seeing free pineapple passed out at the pool one day. The idea was nice, although the execution could have been better since the server was putting wet pineapple chunks directly into people's hands. We also wish the waterslides stayed open later, especially for families. Grand Wailea does offer free Nespresso coffee in the room, which is nice, but after seeing one too many social media videos about people misusing hotel coffee makers, I personally can't bring myself to use in-room hotel coffee machines anymore. One extra service I would gladly pay for is a paid hospitality suite or shower room option for guests with late flights. So many flights out of Hawaii leave late at night, and after checking out in the morning, it would be incredibly helpful to have a clean, comfortable place to shower and freshen up before heading to the airport. Overall, we loved Grand Wailea and would absolutely recommend it. The staff, room, beach, pools, and grounds were wonderful. I don't understand all the bad reviews because our experience was very positive. The resort is beautiful and memorable. My only real complaint is that the food, coffee, parking, and extras are priced so high that it pushes guests away from spending money on property. Full restaurants would be more profitable than beautiful restaurants sitting empty.

Their suites are spacious and the lanai is perfect to watch sunsets every night. The pools are crowded and I did not use them but I did like the beach and service throughout the hotel. Check in was an easy process. Lux in particular was super nice and helped me deal with an issue I was having. They have a nice gym, I didn't use it as I having too much fun on this trip! Plenty of restaurants on site. Self parking is free and plenty so valet isn't necessary. My advice is to call the concierge before you arrive and book the complementary canoe ride as it gets filled fast. I called them from LA 2 weeks before arriving and got the last spot. It was one of the highlights of my trip! If you like great service, amazing views and like staying in South Maui, this is one of my favorite hotels there. I will definitely be back!

If you're a couple and you are there for more than two days you'll appreciate the ability of the early riser to get up, make some coffee and hang on the lanai without disturbing the one of you who likes to sleep in. The bathroom was large and luxurious and supplied with really nice Le Labo soaps, shampoos and lotions. In addition, the property is immaculate and the public spaces are beautiful. There are three attractive pools -- one of which is adult only and there's a beach with attended lounge chairs at the bottom edge of the property. Our stay included the breakfast buffet, which had a wide assortment of choices that were nicely prepared. A downside of the hotel is that they host a number of corporate events and it can sometimes feel a bit crowded. Many mornings during our stay, there was a good size line at the host's station to be seated for breakfast. And once we were seated, navigating the buffet stations was a bit hectic. Similarly, the lounge chairs on the beach are within inches of each other. When sitting on your lanai, the music from one corporate cocktail event or another provides the soundtrack for the evenings. And one final nit -- the Nespresso capsules in the room were very nice, but the coffee served at breakfast was abysmal. So don't get me wrong. This is a very nice place and we had an enjoyable stay. But if you're sensitive to having your own space most of the time, this might not work for you.
