We returned in July 2026. Things are back to being a mixed bag.. The interior of our unit, and apparently most of them, have been remodeled to some extent. Yay! Apparently they got rid of the carpet everywhere except the bedrooms. We had a studio unit this time so we had no carpeting. That was wonderful. (The carpets used to be gross. There's no other word for it-- and I know keeping them clean is challenging in a tropical environment) they do provide a floor sweeper on rollers, but we did not find that to be very effective. A broom would have been more effective and definitely quieter. In the unit of us, the people decided to use the sweeper at about 6:30 AM and it was very loud. We found it doesn't pick up the fine sand that blows in very well. There are still a few weird quirks. We have an outlet that didn't work at all (unfortunately right next to the bed) a light switch in the kitchen, which appeared to be possessed, and plumbing fixtures, which were pretty low budget--loose, leaked, etc. But all in all, things worked pretty well. There was a chemical smell in our room which persisted for the first week of our stay. Perhaps a pesticide treatment? We tried to keep it aired out as much as we could. The air conditioning units have been replaced! At least in the building were in. Hallelujah! Quiet and effective! The grounds were in great shape. The pool was well kept and clean. They were quite a few kids, but everybody seemed to obey the rules, which was great. The flies at the pool. Yep. Still a problem. Unusually aggressive flies, and if you sit in the sun right after you get out of the water, you could have 100 of them trying to land on you. Not an exaggeration! I'm not sure where they're coming from. We have friends staying about a block from here and we don't have that issue at their pool. I'm mystified-- since this was our experience last time as well. And we never have them when we sit out on the balcony, even if we are eating dinner! Here is where we have the biggest gripe: the "owner update." It was so upsetting this time that I just don't know if we can stay here again. Worldmark, like many other timeshares, is not doing well financially. We were told that this would translate into our heirs being responsible for an ever increasing (15%/yr) maintenance fee, even if they did not inherit our shares. Of course *if* we bought more for $42,000 and convert our shares into the "new kind" we could prevent this. We immediately contacted an attorney who assured us this was not the case. But the whole thing just left a bad taste in our mouth. There is always an angle. They will always tell you that what you bought last time is no longer good anymore and you absolutely need to buy more. NEVER AGAIN. This is the first time we ever stayed in the studio. We think we prefer the one bedroom but, we realize this was our choice. I'll give you some information here in case you're trying to make the same choice. As stated previously, the studio has no carpeting. That's wonderful. It's quite spacious. The bed is a Murphy bed, which is the type that pulls down from the wall. That's kind of a mixed bag. There's no headboard so your pillows can drop behind it if you're not careful. You also can't really sit up in bed and lean against the headboard or wall because there's a big gap. I'm not really a fan of a Murphy bed, but it was comfortable. We also like the fact that the bed was in the back of the unit. In the one bedroom, it's towards the front of the unit, so you hear all the noise from the hallways, etc. We didn't have to deal with any of that. The kitchen was about the same size as the one bedroom as was the bathroom. The couch was more of just a loveseat for two people, but that was fine for us. So overall a little bit less living space but perfectly fine for two people. You wouldn't want to entertain guests or anything. The units are not quiet. If you have anybody above you, you will hear every step they take, and if there are children that can be a lot of steps and a lot of noise. If something falls on the floor, it will sound like it is right next to you. But I think most of us know that. I mean, this is definitely a family place, not a place for quiet. My suggestion would be to ask for an upper unit if this is a concern. Man, we love Maui and we love this area. We love the people that work at Worldmark. This place is not perfect, but they are clearly working on it. The entire owner update scenario is horrendous and I'm wondering how many people leave for a very bad taste in their mouth. If you're looking for an upscale stay on Maui look elsewhere. I say this only to set expectations. Worldmark Kihei, with its uber-close walk to a nice beach, has everything you need for your Hawaiian vacation but some folks prefer something more upscale. There were 4 of us on this Hawaiian visit and unusual to me was a decision to cook most meals in the Kihei condo as well as pack lunches in advance to prepare for our days at the beach. For this, the condo was perfect. There are pots and pans, cups and plates, utensils and seasonings. Don't see what you need? Call the front desk and it'll be delivered to you promptly. I was on the 4th floor in a condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and even a Murphy bed in the common space. There was an ample seating area to eat in, space to relax, and a balcony outfitted with table and chairs and a slice of sunset view. Parking (included) was always available in the lot just below where I stayed. There's a pool, kid's pool, and hot tub on-site and they're ample but not if you've grown accustomed to any offered by the major resorts. These are outside in an enclosed area with no views and no charm. I did use the hot tub and appreciated the temperature and its' ample size. My favorite unexpected thing about staying here is that people leave things behind when they depart for home. In the "clubhouse" there was a makeshift wall where people had left beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, and more. Outside, on any random morning, you might find that departing guests have left a stash of groceries they couldn't take with them: loaves of bread, boxes of crackers, frozen waffles, and hunks of cheese. So even though you've made the obligatory Hawaii Costco run when staying in a condo, you might not find much need to go a second time. Across the street is an ABC Store and a snorkel rental spot and the market is a not too distant drive from here. Worldmark Kihei was a good home base from which to explore the western shore of the island and though the drive to some of the island's best beach destinations was over 35 minutes away, there were plenty of less notorious beaches to enjoy in this area for a shorter daily drive. Bottom line? Worldmark Kihei was a perfectly fine, clean, quiet place of lodging for 4 people for 8 nights. read more

This was my very first experience staying in a condo rather than a hotel, and it was so great I don't ever want to stay in a hotel again. The condos are well stocked with silverware, plates, pots, pans and utensils. As well as other things like spices, dish washing soap, and laundry detergent. The beds were honestly the best part of the whole stay though. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were high quality down pillows. Good location in Kihei, Maui This was our home for 6 nights. We had a studio unit and, unfortunately, most of their studio units are on the higher floors. 1 or 2 bedpost units are below. There is an elevator on the premises. There are 4 levels in the building, we were on the 3rd floor and our unit seemed far from the main parking lot. Our room is closer to the back and there is a closer exit but parking spaces are always taken up on that side. This was my only personal complaint. Oh well... The unit is clean and the bed was comfortable. Since we had a studio unit we had a Murphy bed that we took down each night. The kitchen was fully equipped and we like that Worldmark has a washer/dryer in each unit. There are no BBQ grills in the balconies. They are located in a community area on the ground floor. The staff employees were nice and friendly. They were able to assist with extra toiletry items we requested and the concierge provided us a map suggesting places and landmarks to visit. We were able to say no to their Owner Update meeting without any sales pressure. Wow... that was easy! Usually it's not. The resort is walking distance to the Kama'ole Park on South Kihei Road and is divided into three distinct beach areas -- I, II, and III. We did some of our evening strolls at the beach and watched the sunset there too. It was nice. On S Kihei Road are plenty of shops and restaurants. While many are walking distance you may want to drive to some of the popular spots like the Paia Fish Market (17-mi from the resort). Every night there are food trucks parked just outside the resort. I would like to give Worldmark a 1 star based on the lack of common courtesy, atrocious behavior, and indignation I recieved by the house keeper in building 13. Her behavior was unprovoked and uncalled for. I would compare it to the other hotel staff, but no one was ever around to compare it to. But giving 1 star based on 1 person actions seems unfair. With that out of the way. The rooms were clean and had all the desired amenities. Tea, coffee, and all the pots pans and dishes.There were a couple of overlooked cracked glasses, but no one got cut. So no harm no foul. You are in charge of cleaning up after yourself, but that was not a concern. The A/C was cold and the beds comfy. The location is hard to beat and right next to restaurants and across the street from the beach. So grab your flip flops and cruise Kihei, and enjoy beautiful Maui. Just don't expect the resort customer service you can find at higher end hotels. read more

Very nice resort located on the slightly "less crowded " vacation environs of west Maui. Awesome views, everything within walking distance. We used this attribute to walk everywhere (saved a bundle on rental car costs), and lost weight/improved our fitness in the process! Plenty of high quality food trucks nearby and choke restaurants also within walking distance. Foodland is also close by if you want to stock up on groceries. Maui is wickedly expensive (Waikiki pales in comparison) but you can still find ways to visit this iconic island and not break your bank account. Nice stay. Recommended. For whatever reason, Gayle and I aren't timeshare people in terms of our main vacation choices. However, when her Sister (who has done very well playing the timeshares system over the years) invited us to spend a couple weeks in Hawaii with them at their reserved WorldMark Kihei condo, it was a slam dunk to accept. We had a great time. The 2 BR apartment was roomy and comfortable and although this WorldMark is not right on the beach (Kamaole Park I), we had a great partial view of the water, featuring stunning sunsets and a lot of whale sightings. The pool was also open (reservations with COVID restrictions required) and it was an easy walk to the beach. Our meals were largely eaten in (thanks to Costco and Safeway runs), which were supplemented by the food trucks that were parked nearby, snacks from ABC, and walks to various happy hours (5 Palms and Maui Coast Hotel) and Breakfast (Kihei Cafe). The only thing missing with COVID restrictions is that cleaning the room was up to us. But we really didn't mind. WiFi was also pretty good for our devices (and a Zoom hosted class I was taking) and at least a couple puzzles were finished during a few of our lazy days. read more

Home away from home! This is our place for 8 days and 7 nights . Our home fully equipped if we decide to cook and eat in. We originally book for our family but they couldn't come so we cancelled the bigger unit and saved to use our studio. So the studio on Wyndham/Worldmark resorts I notice it's always a pull down/up Murphy bed. Our studio is pretty roomy. The kitchen is big enough with all the necessary utensils, the bathroom is roomy as well. We pretty much busy during the day exploring Maui and coming to home to our place was relaxing. The resort is pretty big, you have your usual swimming pool by the check in area and the concierge is right on the other side by the pool. The location is great and it's walking distance from the beach and Shopping/dining area. We actually watch the sunset on our first day here. They also have 2 food trucks serving guest and locals right by the front desk. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. read more

I hope this review helps make some improvements because we have been Worldmark members for over a decade and I've never been disappointed like this. 1. When you greet folks during a check in, offer a traditional Hawaiian lay and some cold water instead of trying to schedule an appointment for Worldmark right off the bat. Hospitality should be the priority. More time is spent trying to get members to sign up for the update meeting vs. practicing the beautiful Hawaiian culture of hospitality. 2. When members report cockroaches in their room, offer to clean the room top to bottom and spray as an initial response and don't bring up your policy about not cleaning the rooms during our stay. No one signs up to clean up cockroaches on vacation. 3. Please update your appliances and for the three bedrooms add an extra pan due to the number of people. Your blenders are old and don't work well. The phone did not work and had to be fixed. 4. Please wash your carpets and steam the furniture. Everything was covered in stains and looked dirty. My kids white socks were black on the bottom within an hour of us beeing the room. 5. If you don't have an activity room, hire someone to do a water aerobics class, hula dancing class, etc. You have a beautiful covered area that could've been used for so many activities and it went unused most days. I came with two teens and a young adult with my husband and they had absolutely nothing to do other than go to the beach. 6. Put extra towels near the pool so people don't have to go on the hike to get more towels. Towels can be exchanged near the pool for convenience. We won't return to this Worldmark and don't recommend it but I hope there will be changes made to honor the beautiful Hawaiian culture traditions and do it justice. read more

Overall decent stay in Kihei. It's walkable to Kamaole I and various restaurants just south on Kihei Rd. Check in staff and laundry personnel are kind and attentive. There was plenty of parking on the facility during our stay. Pros: The room itself was newly renovated and great for the price. If you're a Worldmark member you probably already know the deal and it's on par with other Worldmark timeshares, reliable but not extravagant. The appliances like the dishwasher and washer/dryer worked as needed. AC unit was quiet as well as we kept it on during the night. Pool was large and the hot tubs were a nice to have especially after a long day at the beach. Cons: During our stay they continued to remodel several units around the facility, including the unit right above ours (or we just had incredible noisy upstairs neighbors), but there was loud footsteps and movement of furniture starting right at 7am and could be heard as late as 10pm. So regardless, you are at the mercy of any human being in the walls adjacent or above you. Lastly some of the staff here are extremely comfortable with using their keys to get into your room. I would really prefer a deadbolt or locking mechanism from the inside as we had two separate situations that arose. The first day, a staff member delivered some additional hangers to the room by knocking on the door twice and as I stood up to answer the door, he just let himself in while we were in the middle of changing. Not a big deal we thought to ourselves, we didn't want to make a fuss. On our last day however, we went out to pick up a quick breakfast at 8:30 and came back by 9am (1 hour before the 10am checkout) and came back to a cleaning bin outside of our door with our door UNLOCKED and a few inches ajar. Luckily everything was accounted for as we left a wallet, GoPro and other snorkeling equipment in the room. When we contacted the front desk, the Manager, Heath, explained that they checked their system and didn't note any other entry to the room that morning. Insinuating that we had left our door open even though we hadn't had an incident like this during our entire stay, let alone with all of our valuables in the room (their word against ours). Nothing was missing so we weren't looking for compensation of any sort; but any sort of accountability and an apology would've been nice, but I guess that's too much to ask for. So be aware of that and I would not leave anything of value inside your room or expect management to be responsible for any shortfalls. read more

First time here in Maui and got lucky enough to snag 5 days here for vacation. As a Worldmark owner without travel share or any of the new BS upgrades they keep pressuring you to buy it's just so disappointing to see our propertiee less than 5 stars. The so called upgrades are the bare minimums and remind me of a poor college student trying to just have their own place to live. Nothing fancy in this studio. Murphy bed looked new and is somewhat comfortable. The little couch is not comfy more of decoration. The TV works but have no idea why they put this tv stand instead of a useful dresser. I hate I have to pay to stream on the tv or to use their internet because I'm not a owner. So suitcases are on the floor. Small closer to hang stuff if needed. I guess I could stuff everything in the drawer that is provided. The two metal tables don't have a purpose just decor I guess. The small table and two chairs is alright. Wish they would ask owners for input. Walls are plain white with the wall behind the Murphy bed painted a bright blue. Maybe they are not finished. Let's talk about cleanliness. As with all Worldmark properties I feel they do not mop the floors ever! Why is this? The bathroom counters looked and appeared clean as with the tub and towels. But the floors are questionable. The kitchen was restocked and appeared to be wiped down but not sure about the stove. Did not look wiped down to me but no intentions of using it. No bugs in the unit which I had a concern about from previous reviews. Beach is very accessible from the property a short 5 min walk from our building number 5. No ocean view for us as we were on the second floor. Of course they get you with offering the $100 to go to their owner update and the Aloha Promise no pushy sales or come back to concierge and they will give you $200 gift card. Our presenter was very nice. She said she was from corporate and did things different. Listened to our concerns and didn't make us feel dumb because we declined. She was the only person we ever liked in the 24 years as an owner. It's too bad she wasn't there on previous presentations and it would have made a difference years ago for us. Just we are not able to spend the extra. $30,000 for more points. I mean what's wrong with our one week a year? We are doing just fine with our little 7,000 credits a year. I just don't understand why they don't give us the same benefits we owners all deserve? To keep having to upgrade and upgrade and upgrade! Anyways...overall decent stay so far. A/C nice in cool in the unit. I didn't think it was too loud. Can hear the people upstairs walking around but other than that pretty quiet!! read more

We have been coming here since it first opened back in 2001 or 2003(?) and we love lover it! It recently completed much needed room renovations and we are quite happy with them. Maybe an area rug is warranted but new everything is very much appreciated. Staff turnover seems to be the case, but I believe Leia the front desk manager is still around. The area continues to be fun with more places to eat and shop and it shows with more foot traffic and cars. Maui is still the best island in our opinion as it provides some Oahu and Kauai experience. read more

We just had a 10 night stay here for spring break. It was a great centralized place to have as a home base. If you're looking for a resort experience this isn't it though. Pros: Rooms units with full kitchen and nice beds. Easy linen exchange and supply room. (Lady working there was kind.) Across the street from ocean, ABC market and within walking distance to many places. Short drives to many others. Rooms(at least ours) were modern and updated. Bbq areas are nice and clean. Plenty of free parking. Cons: Every employee we came in contact with (all except one) was not very nice or hospitable. One of the woman concierges was flat out rude to me and my daughter and extremely condescending. Pool is super small. We couldn't find chairs half the time we came to the pool. Roosters everywhere, we were woken up at 4-5 am every morning by them. Walls in rooms super are thin, kids were running around upstairs the entire time and felt like an earthquake. Could hear entire conversations in the room next to us. In all it was a fine place to stay with a big family. Some things that bugged us the whole time we were at the room but we did a lot of excursions and time at the beach so it was fine. If you're looking for a nice resort kind of stay and a lot of time at the hotel, this is definitely not it. read more

WorldMark has two resorts on the island of Maui, one in west Maui (Valley Isle), one in south Maui (Kihei). We could not get reservations at Valley Isle, which I saw from the pictures it's ocean front. But we stayed a few days at a hotel in west Maui to experience the area. Not bad, quite touristy. Good shopping & dining (Whalers Village, Front Street) but unless you have ocean access from your hotel, you need to know where to go to get through all these resorts hiding/blocking public access. Then we moved to Kihei for another 9 days. Kihei is more centrally located in the island, almost equal distance to all corners of attractions. Better yet, our unit is just across the street (S Kihei Rd) to one of the best beaches in Maui, Kamaolé Beach Park I. The sugar fine sand and gentle slopping shore is much to our family's liking. They saw sea turtles couple times swimming inches away just standing in waist deep water. The staff is great, very helpful and responsive. Our two-bedroom unit is spacious and clean. The grounds are well maintained. Restaurants and shops are nearby. The Shops at Weilea is very nice to spend some time window shopping or spend your money. I highly recommend WorldMark at Kihei. We stayed here with friends for our visit to Hawaii. It was obvious that this isn't a first class property. The grounds were not terribly clean or well kept, although our 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable. We attended a presentation on things to do the first day and Jeff Parzych a Concierge for Expedia, put on a great presentation. Afterwards we signed up for several activities through him. That turned out to be one of the high points of our trip. Being able to get good advice and sign up for all of our activities in one place was very helpful. Jeff knew all the answers and everything we did through him (besides a somewhat disappointing Aquarium) was great. There were a few times we had to go to the front desk for things like toilet paper and laundry detergent. The staff there weren't always the friendliest people we encountered during this trip. All in all though, our stay worked out pretty well. read more

so this worldmark at best is a 3.5 kind of place for it being a 'timeshare resort' ...im glad we booked it through an owner and not our personal 'investment' place lol i read alot of owner reviews and well.... anyways... the area this is at, Kihei is real nice(well groomed compared to the Lahaina side ..which is an hour drive away ...and this telly is 10 minute walk to the beach down the street. you can think of this area like the Waiki strip area, busy ...has alot of dining and shops around you. plenty of places to buy ur needs and wants. surrounded by plenty other resorts that look like condos. mapping wise...Wailea area(the fancy side) is 10 minute drive away ...thats where like, the Fairmont and Four Seasons is located ...and better shopping, LV, Gucci, etc at a outdoor mall. back to anyways... this worldmark at first sight looks great but when i compare it to anyplace id say its condo style and very simple. has numerous building that make up the property. the center is the reservation building located next to their pool. parking is plenty but can be limited pending arrival time. i recommend trying to get a ground floor room otherwise you will walk flights of stairs ...because theres only a few small elevators spread around the premises. rooms are spaceous. we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that has small kitchen and living room area, 2 bath ... also had a laundry closet to wash n dry ur ish and a murphy pull down bed ...we are a family of 4(could be 6 but we didn't bring em) and we can be comfy either way. we did have our other family(4ppl) with us and we all hung out nice n comfy in this room, heck they could have stayed here with us and i think we woulda been fine. ...want my advise... where u come from, bring stuff to cook or heat up like, ramen or whatever. they provide kitchen things so u can whip up some random time eats rather than go out to pay overpriced tourist meals 4 ti 5 times during the day .. unless ur fake arsh wealthy and prefer to splurge the loot to da locals(but then i call you out cause ur staying at Kihei and NOT Wailea lmao) ...oh make sure you got hot water in your room that lasts. 1st day our water heater went out and i called them to come get it back online so i can shower in at least warm water haha ...the pool is the best part of this place. my kids loved the pool. its clean and wide, deepest is 5ft ...theres also a 2ft kiddie pool. ..they offer poolside massage(brown chicken brown cow..*wink*wink),no big deal and uneccessary. ...at night 2 food trucks post out on the street for your eating pleasure(thai and hawaiian ...yeah there alot of that ish out here) to close... this worldmark is fine for your Maui vacation. just keep ur expectations middle, not high ...cause its better than low. read more

ROACH MOTEL. DON'T STAY HERE!! Currently day two at this property. Absolutely not up to worldmark standards. The bed is filthy and there is a musty mold smell from the a/c unit. Night one we woke up to roaches in our bed. In the morning there were BABY roaches all in the kitchen. We let the front desk know and they were not particularly concerned other than to say "it's the tropics, I can have maintenance spray". We spent the day out so the room could be sprayed and the a/c filter changed. Despite those efforts the a/c still smells the same and there are numerous roaches enjoying the kitchen. Another call to the desk was to be told there wasn't a manager on duty but a spray could be done again tonight. So so gross to be spending a vacation with the options of inhaling mold, bug spray, or being crawled on by roaches. read more

I am more than disappointed in WorldMark, this property is in one of the most beautiful places, but it is just not taken care of. This stay for us as property owners was more then exciting because we get married in Maui, so it was special. The property was groomed and looked nice but it was very deceiving, the service very poor, they just acted like they didn't care. They only thing they wanted to do is sell you more points for poor customer service. The room we had was old and dirty. The place smelled old and musty. We had killed cockroaches in the kitchen every day, it was gross. We bought another couple with us on our stay and we're thinking about buying in as a owner, but after this stay they totally changed there minds, it was totally embarrassing, I am ashamed to say I am a owner at this point. read more

Was there in October of 2022. Close proximity to the beach and other stores/amenities. The units are nice and decently maintained but perhaps could use a retouch. This property definitely needs a facelift and the AC unit in our unit put off a musty/moldy smell. I reported it but the smell never got any better. The location is great, nice beach across the street and the best part is Gus the Bus (shaved ice) parks and on the street adjacent to the property. We enjoyed this every night! read more

This was the worst nights sleep I've ever had. The bed in the studio apt /condo felt about 15 yrs old and was probably the cheapest mattress on a Murphy bed. We asked what the front desk could do to help us out but they had zero help and suggested calling customer service who was equally unhelpful. The chairs in the room are terrible. You can't get comfortable to read, watch tv, relax. I've been to many worldmarks that are 4 & 5 star. Go to San Jose del Cabo. You'll be much happier. We left our Kihei worldmark 3 days short to move to a hotel next door. read more

Stayed here for a week for a family vacation in Maui. Suite that we stayed in had two bedroom, two bath, living room, kitchen, and balcony. It had basically everything we needed/wanted. Facility wise, it's not filthy dirty but I do think this place could use a bit of renovation. Carpet definitely feels old and used, nothing smells bad you do randomly get a whip of just "oldness" once in a while (not sure how to best describe it lol), and the rooms are just big enough for a bed and luggage. Place just felt darker than usual as well. Not sure how to best explain it but that's just the vibe I got. Good thing is we were rarely home since we were always out and about so it didn't really bother me that much. Location is hard to beat since you can literally walk to the beach and they also have food trucks right in front of the site that you can try. Pool and hot tub were great, except people used the hot tub way past the closing hour but the noise wasn't that bad. If your expectation is average and don't come with high-end premium site expectation, then I think you should be pretty good. I think you'll enjoy the convenience of this location and will have a great time as long as you can just manage expectations. read more

I booked a stay at this WorldMark property through airbnb. Yes, this property is close to the beach. However, ALL properties in Kihei are close to the beach: do not use that as a reason for staying at this dilapidated, filth-ridden and mismanaged property. The place could use a thorough cleaning and interior update, but what it chiefly needs is a fumigation as it is crawling with pests. We had booked the room for 7 nights. On the first night we discovered the bathroom was crawling with ants. We couldn't find where they were entering, but they were everywhere - the floor, the walls, the bathtub, the vanity countertop. After contacting the front desk they told us they would send a pest control person at 8AM. At 2AM I went to the kitchen for some water and saw the real problem - German Cockroaches. They were everywhere: scurrying along the floor and floorboards, scaling the cabinets and running wild on the countertops. It was sickening. This pest is a harbinger for disease and difficult to eradicate even for the best exterminator. No food had been left out yet here they were. The next morning I didn't hear from the front desk regarding the pest control person. My partner was in the suite while the kids and I went to the pool. When I arrived back we still had not been paid a visit. I called the front desk around 11:30 AM and was told someone was in the suite at 10:20 AM and had sprayed. I told them no one had been there and I didn't see any sign of spraying. Around 11:45 a pest control person arrived and told me that he arrived at the resort property at 10:20 AM but this was his first visit to the suite. He sprayed powder all over the floor in both the bathroom and the kitchen. My kids would end up walking around with this poison powder on their feet. Pest control told me that in 3-5 days the cockroaches would be coming out to die. Splendid. Just what I want to see on holiday. I had been told by my airbnb host Sidharth earlier in the day that management would be finding me a new room. However, when I returned to the suite that night from touring the Island I saw an airbnb message telling me that my problem had been resolved in the current suite and I was not being moved. I'm sorry, but remaining for the bug death exodus was not a resolution. Further, the roaches showed no sign of slowing down and were still having their way with the kitchen - they were even inside the dishwasher. I called the front desk to tell them I wanted out of the unit and they informed me that they would need to talk to a manager and get back to me. I should note that at no time did a manager bother to talk to me. A manager should have arrived at the suite with the exterminator when the problem was first mentioned. When an associate called back they informed me that I would need to formally check out before 10AM and then check into another suite at 4PM as they would need to CLEAN THE SUITE WE WERE IN FOR THE NEXT GUEST. The fact that the cockroach infestation wasn't a big deal to them, didn't require a manager's intervention and could be rented out to the next guest immediately only solidified the fact that the entire property is overrun with cockroaches and ineptitude. Two days in I cancelled the reservation booking a new place through Expedia that cost me more. Sidarth then messaged to say that they were trying to phone me the day prior to change my suite yet no calls had arrived on my cell phone that day and no messages were left for me on my cell nor the room phone: lying is just a way to cover your tracks after the fact. When I requested a refund I was denied and called a "scammer" claiming bugs to get a refund. Thankfully I had plenty of photo and video footage and contacted airbnb support to open a case on the matter. They quickly assessed the situation and awarded me a refund. This property is dirty and bug infested, the staff are demoralized and management is hiding behind the curtain - do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. read more

This was a great unit. I am going to start out with the pros! The location of this unit cannot be beat! It is literally across the street from the beautiful beach, as well as near a decent market where you can pick up snacks and minor groceries (ABC Market!) The staff that I have interacted with have been so pleasant and kind! I am always warmly greeted when I go into the office. The staff is knowledgeable and has great advice of what to do in Maui. The grounds are maintained beautifully. They have been out working on the grounds every day we have been here (8 days.) there is no trash or weeds to be found! The unit is spacious, with all the amenities you need, as well as stocked with common spices, coffee, toilet paper and soap. Here is where they could make some improvements. The carpets are dirty. If you walk barefoot you will notice there is black on the bottom of your feet. They do not have vacuums in the units, just Rubbermaid push brooms. With the units being across the street from the beach, a vacuum is necessary for the units. Next, it is very easy to leave the unit better than you found it. There is grime on all of the door frames. The showers are not clean and white like I would have thought. It is most likely due to age and grime build up, but they aren't shiny clean. My last point of things they could improve, please stop proposing the owners to go to meetings the first day they arrive to buy more points. If they want more, they know who to call, where to go on the website, and they most certainly have a dozen emails to refer to. Overall it is a nice unit. We spent more time out of the unit than it, because it is Maui, but these are things that as owners people aren't loving, since they pay a hefty maintenance fee. read more

I am a Worldmark owner. My husband and I stayed at this property five years ago for the first time in Nov 2017. At the time this property was under construction so they had a trailer out front where everyone checked in. We checked in at night, so when I arrived to our room, everything was very dark. We were on the lower level on the corner. Our unit backed up to absolutely nothing/ a wall. The walls are very thin. Immediately there was a smell in the room. I was very uncomfortable. I hated the room. I could hear snoring through the walls and instantly wanted another unit. I was told they couldn't change me until the morning. The next morning came I was able to see everything a lot clearer. There was no sunlight coming through the unit we backed up to a wall. The patio essentially is covered in dirt.. The unit smelled of smoke. They fixed it and moved us to another room on the third floor. It made the difference. It was cleaner, more of a view, more light. It had a smell, but it didn't have a smoke smell anymore. Fast forward five years later Nov 2022. My husband and I, my two kids and sister are here to stay for our 12 year anniversary. They renovated their property... the trailer is gone. I go to check in and guess what.. they put me in they SAME room!! What are the chances....!!!! I was freaking livid. The room was literally more dirty, smelled like smoke. It was as though it had been sitting there and no one had been in that room. The patio was filthy. I called the front desk. I let them know of my previous experience and I'd like to be moved to a different room. I'm not sure what it is, I'm not sure if they stick all of their African-American guest in this dirty back unit into they complain. But what are the chances, five years later you stick me in the same exact room!!? At first the front desk person tried to say they were at capacity and tell me that they couldn't move us. Then alll of a sudden they told me some person hadn't checked in (what that information as to do with me I don't know) but they could possibly put me in that person's room. They moved me into a new room. I counted to 10 before I walked into the front office. The manager was waiting there for me. I don't like to argue with people if I don't need to but I could tell she was waiting for an argument, but she wasn't going get one out of me. (I am on vacation.) I don't mind if things are old or outdated, but I do mind if things are dirty. Yes you should wear house slippers walking around in their rooms, your feet will be black.. This is where my group stayed while in Maui. The location is great! There is a beach that isn't too far from the resort. We liked to walk to the beach before sunset to go snorkeling in the ocean. The beach was really spacious so there is a lot of areas to set up your beach towels to watch the waves or turtles. Yes there are turtles that show up in the late afternoon swimming near the shore. The resort offers beach towels just in case you didn't pack any. There are a ton of stores and restaurants around the area. Also two food trucks usually park right next to the resort. They have some pretty good food. A bit of a long walk, but we walked from Coconut's Fish Café to the resort. There was a lot of stuff to see while walking back. The route back to the resort is so easy it is hard to get lost. At night they light their tiki torches around the location and at the pool and it is an awesome photo opportunity for anyone staying at the resort or not. The activity center has a small gym and a few games there if you don't want to swim in the pool. There is someone there that can get you good discounts on activities and help you plan your vacation out. He or she will call and schedule activities with different companies. The condo we stayed in was very spacious. It got a bit cold when leaving the a/c on all day but it felt amazing when coming back from the humid weather outside. If you are a WorldMark member I think you can get up to 6 devices for the wi-fi. Anything extra costs money. I was able to play Splatoon 2 online with my Nintendo Switch as one of the wi-fi devices. There was 1 master bedroom with a Queen Sized bed, one bedroom with a single bed, one room with 2 beds and for our final person they slept on a Murphy bed. The kitchen includes utensils, cups, plates and all the other stuff needed to eat. It also had pots and pans. It could've used more bathrooms since there were 6 of us staying there but I enjoyed my stay here. read more

The resort location is right at the beach and restaurants. Rooms are clean and amenities are well maintained. There were always popular food trucks parked across the main street and people walking in the middle of the night on the main street. Although the popular town, Lahaina was 30min drive, we enjoyed the drive. Our two bedrooms came with two full baths. We had a full kitchen with a dining table and the best part was our unit had a washer and dryer. The resort also gave detergent (do need to pack). My kid forgot her iPad in the room, and the staff/manager was able to ship it back to our home with a small charge, so thankful for that. read more

We had a fantastic stay here in July 2019. We were very pleased with our accomodations. We had a nice sized 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom unit. One bedroom had a king sized bed and the other had a queen. There was also a pull out murphy bed in the living room. Check in here was a breeze, unlike other Worldmark locations. Sales person at the desk to get our parking pass was not pushy at all. We politely said no to attending an event and received our parking pass with no hassles at all. What a relief! The beach (Kamaole I) is a short walk across the street. There are lots of nearby eateries and restaurants to walk to as well as an ABC store. My only (minor) gripe about this place is the amount of storage for clothing. Closet space is adequate. However, drawers in the dressers were small and not very deep. But not a deal breaker to stay her again. Loved loved loved this location and will definitely stay again. read more
