I can't speak to the authenticity of the food, since I have only had Philipino food once before. But I can speak to the portions, which are generous. The food is prepared in advance and served off a steam table, so as long as there is good turn over, the food should stay fresh. I was in for an early lunch, so there was no chance for the food to sit and go stale. I ordered a combo with tofu and chicken dishes. Both were OK, not exceptional. The dish came with a side of rice, and I ordered a fried banana dessert, which was the best part of the meal. It is also inexpensive, so it has that going for it as well. read more

Another Pilipino turo-turo (food is laid out cafeteria style and you point to what you want) restaurant in Carson in the same plaza as DJ Bibingkahan and Tony's Barbeque and Bibingkinitan, that I tried for lunch a couple of days ago. Upon entering I saw a couple of people eating at the tables and was saw a sign for a $4.99 two item combo lunch special. The sign has the original Philipino names of the dishes so the person behind the counter told me that today it was fried fish and some vegetable dish. I asked if they had chicken adobo and kare-kare. It was yes on both but the kare-kare was not ox-tail based. I asked if they had any beef steak or a beef based dish but they did not have any, so I decided to go with the chicken adobo and some other noodles dish with chicken. I think I paid $5.50 + tax for the two item combo. I also happened to see a sign that all two item combo's are $4.99 after 5 p.m. (they close at 7 p.m.). Lastly they are strictly cash only. Taste wise I did not like the food very much and this would be my least preferred among all the Philipino restaurants that I have tried in Carson. The entire container had a strong chicken smell which puts you off from the food. The noodles dish was very poor with hard chewy noodles. Maybe the right thing to do here is to stick to their specials which is what I will do the next time I am here before taking a final call on this place. read more

Went late on saturday, no lines and everyone was super nice. Tried the steak sisig and was not disappointed. Also got a few other items and my family all enjoyed them, and they're typically very picky, but they raved about the fish. I went late so the selection wasn't all there, but will definitely be going back at an earlier time to see everything they have to offer. read more

The employees were soooo rude when I was asking simple questions, they didn't have any pancit, chicken adobo, and when I asked about getting a side order of lumpia the lady said that I had to order a minimum of 50 pieces!! POSITIVES: -The food's a little better than Maynilla. I've been here a few times for lunch and haven't been disappointed.The place is set up similar to a Chinese food joint or cafeteria where you just point and choose what you want. They always have lunch specials for 5 bucks but it changes on certain days. I haven't tried the whole menu but the highlight for me so far has been the adobo pork, longaniza and Turon( fried banana). really good! not too greasy. the pansit and rice is always good. the free soup that comes with the meal is a bit sour but adds great flavor to the rice. The bbq pork stick is delish! they have a decent size menu and you can also get a young coconut instead of a soda which I thought was nice. they also cater and you can get a full lechon with an advanced notice. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. As far as looks It's a small place, nothing fancy here. like I stated before, it's more like a chinese food joint than a dinner but not dirty like some places i've been to. This place is disgusting...I went in here once and never again! Their food is always cold or old because it was yesterday's dish that was re-cooked with a newer batch for the day. Come to find out this place was shut down twice!! Closed on 2/21/97 to 2/24/97 and then again on 3/1/11 to 3/5/11 due to vermin infestation, vermin harborage and gross contamination of food preparation surfaces! Now in Filipino Carson, there's this little hole in the wall place for Filipino food. It's called Ading Delia's. Now you will see the huge DJ Bibingkahan in front of it. The food there is alright, but Ading Delia's is right next to the Pizza place and the food there is a lot more authentic than any other place in Carson. It just reminds me of how my mom cooks adobo, sinigan (is that spelled right?). The usual skewer sticks, white rice...all the good stuff. Great thing about this place is that it never gets too busy and crowded. The staff there is really nice and it has the feel of a modest neighborhood restaurant in the Philippines. This is one of the good places to go for filipino food. I think it's less well known than Manila Sunrise, but the food is just as good if not better. I think it also has more selection. Today , there was a young guy who I believe just got out of the hospital due to his wrist having a bandage wrap around it . Probably one of the most authentic Filipino restaurants that i've been to. I've been coming here since my parents moved to SoCal, so i'm pretty familiar with the types of foods they serve and the quality of everything else. The food is the best part of the place. I usually get the barbecue pork with a side of mongo bean soup. Each combo comes with two huge scoops of rice, a bit too much for my appetite. They have a lot of variety here and almost each dish is pretty quality. The lechon is a bit too fatty, though. Nonetheless, the food reminds me of the motherland and never fails to fill me up! The facilities is the part of the place that's a bit subpar. The seating and tables are cheap but do the job, no breaking or creaking. The food is lined up like a cafeteria assembly line, so it doesnt look impressive. The bathroom is incredibly under done and i avoid it all costs, i suggest you do too. They catered a party and couldn't stop going back for seconds so finally made it to the restaurant for more. The place was clean and bright. All the entrees from the cafeteria style Turo-turo looked so good but didn't want to look like a kid in a candy store. We settled for a couple of chicken and pork dishes including the bbq. Aling Delias is my favorite Filipino restaurant in Carson. Tita Nitas is great, but I strongly believe that Delias has the best Filipino pork BBQ, hands down. The rest of the food is decent. Seemingly typical for a assembly line of dishes to choose from. The afternoons aren't so great in terms of quality of food, except the BBQ (which go extremely fast). In addition, having it be so close to a middle school, those mischievous kids can often feel like a nuisance to be around, and make you forget about your food. Aling Delia is very conservative with their portions. Expect to get small amounts of food (dishes) with 2 scoops of rice in their combos. The girl behind the counter looked like she was holding her breath as she was gingerly scooping the food into my tray, making sure she only covered 1/4 of the ladle (cause god forbid she would serve me an adequate portion of food!), then she filled the rest of the space with soup from the dish. She looked up to see me eyeing her in disbelief then she hesitantly dove back in to give me just a few more pieces of meat. WTF?! The huge $4.99 Combo sign up top .. only applies after 5pm. The much smaller sign on the side indicates that. They only take cash which would be a bitch to them if the little store nearby with the ATM ever closed up. We've been going to this place for years. But after the way they treated my wife, we will never go there again. The food seems okay and the prices are reasonable, but the basic customer service and competence is just not there. My wife ordered something in the morning, and a "Henry" said they will set it aside. My wife followed up in the afternoon on her way out and she was told that "Henry" didn't reserve the order like he said he'd do. And the night's plan was ruined because this person neither didn't cared nor was smart enough. This isn't the first time this has happened at this restaurant. They have shown consistent INCOMPETENCE and they never follow through on their word. The food isn't that great to be so terrible at customer service, but they just don't seem to care. My wife really tries to give the benefit of the doubt and gives all restaurants a second, third, or fourth chances. This restaurant seems to have disregarded her so much that she actually has given up on them. They're a total embarrassment to reach this point. We really want to support small local businesses during this time, but the incompetence can only go so far. They totally deserve this review. read more
