    Tapsilog! Champion!
    Christina D.

The best Tapsilog + Longsilog in LA! I finally found my spot! This place is legit! I was greeted with friendly & genuine Filipino service and served authentic garlicky Tapsilog just the way I like it. (Tunay at Hindi Matamis) I will keep coming back! Be patient as your food is made to order.

Finally tried the Lumpianadas! I went on a Wednesday at about 9. There wasn't a long line. Since the lumpianadas are made to order I just had to wait about 20mins. I brought them home to my family and we were very pleased with the taste and size! They are quite filling! When I came they didn't have the extra fryer yet but I can imagine that they are pushing out more orders a bit faster now that they have it. It's also great to know that you can place your order ahead of time by calling. My mother is older and I don't think she would want to wait for an hour at the store. Since my folks are local it's nice to know they can call and come pick it up when the order is ready. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

The ladies that helped me were very nice...but Im not sure if they used longanisa or beef...but it was still delicious. I didnt expect it to be huge. But im for sure coming back to try their other plates =)

Had a cousin dropped off to me in Calabasas and the Vigan longganisa is really good. I love that it's super juicy and fat and big. It's not like the skinny longganisa you buy at the Filipino store. I would say that this place is legit Ilocano food from Vigan. I can't wait to order more. Since I live far, I will order the frozen by the dozen and stock up. I definitely recommend this place.

Found this place on tik tok going viral for their Lumpianadas. So of course I had to try it! I've been searching EVERYWHERE for them and to see that they are here locally, I was pretty stoked! They do had their own twist to the ilocos empanadas, but nonetheless still delicious and crispy! I did order ahead of time so I wouldn't have to wait long there. This place is located INSIDE the angelitos market!

Finally got to try this place. Pinoy Sa-Wrap specializing in Ilocano style silog style breakfast. It's a tiny place, inside the market. They are takeout business. What I ordered: The Vigan Longanisa Silog - it comes with garlic fried rice, topped with fried eggs, veggies, and a slice of royal bibingka. Side order of Beef Tapa Lumpianada My verdict: The Lumpianada is the winner for sure. Freshy made to order. The Crispy edges, and the fillings are generous and the flavor is excellent and authentic. The garlic vinegar sauce takes it to another level. Huge size, price is a little high but one will fill you up for sure. The Vigan Longanisa Silog generous portion with 3 small longanisa is perfect balance of garlic and vinegar. The garlic rice is just average to me, it needed more garlic but flavor is there, but the rice is a bit hard. Egg is cooked and seasoned to perfection. The royal bibingka is delicious. I wish I ordered extra. Overall the silog is great, but it was already cold when I got my order. I guess my plate was made and sitting while waiting for the Lumpianada to finish cooking. The side order of 1/2 pound of Beef Tapa is perfectly marinated, very tender. Service was excellent. Auntied working front and back was handling the busy morning crowd and also phone orders. I waited for 20-25 minutes for my order. I do suggest to phone your order in advance. The Silog wasn't perfect, was a already cold when I got it but its flavorful. The Lumpianada came out fresh and piping hot and winner for sure. I'll still rate them STARS. The price is average. Always support small businesses.

Came from oc to try the ilocos empanada. Not as bright orange/red as most are and very thin and airy outer layer of the empanada. I give this a 5/10 Its okay.. its very oily and not as flavorful when you eat into it. I rather eat a fried vegetable lumpia tbh. (Oh I paid cash BTW and got a surcharge) Pay attention to your receipt when you pay cash.

Oh my goodness, it's a game changer. Ilocos empanadas. Savory, crispy and oh so good! It's the ultimate comfort snack! If you don't eat it right away, pop it in the air fryer for a few minutes and it will crisp right back to that delicious crunch. Make sure you have your vinegar ready for dipping. I'm not so thrilled about the system of ordering. Wish they fix that.

So good I had to go back to back days. Made fresh to order. Takes about 10-15 mins. Outside is super crispy and the inside is piping hot. Combined with the suka/vinegar (and even the sweet and sour sauce), you've got and explosion of flavor! Plenty of parking in the lot. Not hard to find. When you walk in, kinda confusing. Half resto/half money remittance/lotto and scratchers stand, but clean nonetheless. Will definitely go back when craving calls for it. Recommend!

    Order here!

This review is only for the lumpianadas--MUST TRY! This is the second time I've had them and they are worth the hype! The lumpianadas are always made fresh and made to order! So if you do walk in, expect waiting times from 15mins to maybe an hour depending on how busy they are. I personally made an order over the phone at 8am right when they opened and requested for a 9:30am pick up. It went smoothly, I arrived in time and was in and out of there in less than 5mins! Also, the lumpianadas are made with eggrolls wrappers! Not the original rice flour dough that you might've seen going viral, that's the bright orange dough. Both are very good! Again, these are made to order so it's hot and crunchy/crispy! If necessary, you can airfry to get it crispy. It's not really the same as if you ate it right away. As for the filling, it's really good packed with flavor and ingredients--eggs, green papaya, munggo and vigan longanisa! It's super garlicky, juicy, perfectly paired with their homemade vinegar! The portion is huge and to me, 1 lumpianada is a whole meal! Price is $7.50 plus tax! They accept cash or card. There isn't a lot of space inside the store so it's best you order take out. There's plenty of parking except during school pick up times since there's a middle school across the street and an elementary school down Bonita St! It gets crazy busy. I highly recommend ordering in the morning since the store is less busy then. Thanks Pinoy Sa-wrap for satisfying my cravings!! I'll definitely be back for more! I love sharing the lumpianadas with my friends and family!

I had to eat at the parking lot cause I can't take it anymore I was drooling in the car lol
    Sheila A.

Drove all the way from Lb cause husband was craving for some. It was hot today but the empanadas were hotter!!!!! Thanks for the extra vinegar!!! These humongous pockets of goodness hits the spot Everytime. Saw the owner on my way out! Super nice lady;) more power to yall

Another recommendation from someone I trust, so I had to give it a try. It's a takeout-only spot, but they also carry a small selection of Filipino grocery items and snacks. The food feels truly authentic--no gimmicks, no trendy twists, just the real thing. As for the price, it's not bad at all, especially considering it's a simple takeout place.

    Francisco D.

Ugh 1000000/10!!! It's my second time coming here and the food is just chefs kiss! We got the lumpia silog, pork belly silog, and tapa silog. The star of the show was definitely the empanada it's so hard to find and the fact that they have it ready to go was still shocking to me and super delicious! Service was quick and there's definitely indoor seating so no worries there. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and want a quick silog Filipino meal! I'll be back again and again!

I had the Veggie Omelette, and it was absolutely loaded with fresh vegetables. Every bite tasted fresh, clean, and delicious. I also ordered a latte with the banana foam, and wow... that foam was nice! It was thick, creamy, and flavorful with banana flavor. I could have eaten the foam all by itself, but I mixed it into the latte with my straw. It added just the right touch of sweetness, although the banana flavor became a little more subtle once it was mixed in. My mom ordered the Veggie Omelette as well, along with the Banana Pancake as her specialty pancake. It was delicious! It was topped with fresh banana slices, walnuts, and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Such a great combination without being overly sweet. The real surprise of the visit was the fresh-made lemonade. I ordered the Paradise Lemonade with guava and passion fruit, and it was incredibly refreshing and full of flavor. My wife and I had an enjoyable breakfast experience, tasting some unique dishes that are worth coming in for. We had a real early errand in the Lomita area, so wanted to take advantage by trying a different breakfast place. They have a really informative website, explaining the owning family's participation and how some of their food is sourced. It's a brunch place (open from 8 am to 2/3 pm, Tu-Su), so needed to wait a bit outside (street parking only, found one hour free parking right in front since coming so early). Menus are available at the front counter, and you place and pay (clover) for your order first. The food came out soon after, delivered to your table. There is a self-serve water jug in the same area as take-as-you-need take-out containers (also saw a self-serve costco-size plastic wrap box for wrapping...such a Korean thing to do). Utensils and napkins are available at the table to take for need. I really like places like this that have optimized the service experience, getting what you need without having to track someone down. Forking Around's Filipino Burrito ($18.95) - a collab with the food influencer 'Forking Around' to put into a breakfast burrito, many common ingredients from a Filipino breakfast. This includes egg, garlic fried rice as base and a vegetable lumpia with longanisa pieces, wrapped in a good flour tortilla. Sides were both a cilantro lime crema and a well made sawsawan. The sausage was not too sweet nor too red (though perhaps a bit too meatloaf-like), and the lumpia in the burrito worked for me. Korean Breakfast with bulgogi and steamed rice ($19.95) - it was served in a cast-iron skillet and the pan had been heated up greatly...super hot when served and still warm by the time we left. The flavor of the bulgogi was solid, and I loved the presentation. Taco Truck Burrito ($17.95) - korean-style al pastor pork, with pineapple and kimchi fried rice and egg. It was good....forgot to ask if the meat was really cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Came with a good chipotle salsa and lime crema. We were done in 30 minutes, from entry to exit. It wasn't too busy, so asked the front-of-house lead where the longanisa sausage and lumpia were made...she stated that it was all in-house. That's really impressive, making an ingredient from scratch that is only used in one dish. This and the elegant presentation and longevity really shows that the entire team behind bites & bashes cafe (catering) knows what they are doing.
