I'm giving a one-star rating, but I want to start by acknowledging the positives. The receptionist, Vivian, was kind, helpful, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Kiki, the tech who helped fit me for my glasses, was also wonderful--patient, professional, and incredibly helpful. Both of them deserve five stars. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Nguyen was the complete opposite. She was rude, condescending, and dismissive throughout the entire appointment. I have a lifelong condition affecting my left eye, and instead of showing empathy or professionalism, she made several hurtful and unnecessary comments about my appearance, including referring to my eye as "droopy." Her attitude was unkind and completely lacking in bedside manner. I left feeling shocked and disrespected. I actually questioned myself afterward, wondering if I had somehow done something wrong--but I was in a great mood, the weather was beautiful, and I came in with nothing but good energy. After reading through several other reviews, I realized I'm not the only one who's had a negative experience with this doctor. The silver lining: I called afterward and was relieved to learn I don't have to see Dr. Nguyen again when my glasses arrive. Hey, I like this place! This review is overdue, but still valid. Last year I called and got an appt right away with Dr Tanya, as my vision in my eyeglasses seemed like it needed some adjusting. It did. Receptionist, whom I don't remember her name, was very sweet and accommodating. Dr Tanya had excellent bedside manner and adjusted my prescription. Within a few weeks, I had my glasses, and they were cute! I've moved away, and haven't returned, but appreciate my experience with them. read more

Came here as I needed glasses. stuff was friendly, but the doctor was bluntly rude, condescending calling me " honey", unprofessional, short -tampered and constantly interrupting. She clearly even didn't look at the chart, as was asking questions i already answered. Instead of helping to decide on what the second distance should be for my bifocals, she was repeating that " i don't want you to come back and tell me you don't see. it us more work for us to fix It". she was wearing the outdoor jacket, as she was going for a hike. while, I was deciding undo her unfriendly glare what feet should be the second distance, she just turned around and told me that she doesn't need me as a patient and I could find another place. read more

I don't wear contacts or glasses, but I came here for my annual eye exam since they had availability on Saturday's. The staff is very friendly and the office is clean and tidy. When I called in, Kianaz was very friendly and accommodating to my requests. She was just as helpful in person. Everyone was wearing masks and there was sanitizer available. It was easy to get an appointment that fit my schedule and I did not have to wait long to be seen. There is plenty of parking and the hours worked well with my availability, so I will definitely be back next year! read more

I came here for my first set of glasses and everything went smoothly. I'm not sure if there are are new owners but my second experience was horrible! Picking out glasses was so easy the first time but this time they were rude, short, and to top it off when the glasses came in they were NOT the ones I chose. Not to mention the gentlemen assisting with this process is very hard to understand and very confusing. The glasses that came in were baby blue with checkerboard on the side and looked like for an elderly person. I told them they were not mine and they went nuts on me. I kept insisting and they said that they have cameras and would prove me wrong. We went round and round and they rudely said they were closing so I'd need to come back. I called ahead and asked if they viewed the film and they said yes and that they were right. I asked to see the film and they refused! They said I can come back and choose new frames but I would have to make appointment. When I finally went in they let me choose another one at no cost, probably because they knew I was RIGHT! Now I have my glasses and for the first time in my life I get headaches every time I take them off. I will never go here again!! read more

Absolutely the WORST place to go to for getting you glasses done; I dropped off my frame to them and been waiting almost 3 weeks, I just called them and they just gave me different excuses and pretty much told me to wait for another week even though when I called earlier this week they told me they're doing the last touch ups and it would be ready by the end of the week...smh this is the last time I'm going to this place to get my glasses done, horrible customer service, and very long wait times. Everyone is so welcoming and smiling all the time which makes the visit even more pleasant. It's a very friendly and safe environment. I loved Dr. Nguyen. She gives great exams. I would give her 5 stars. The 1 star is for the customer service with the front office. Dr. Nguyen and one of the guys assisted me with picking out a pair of glasses. I went over with them exactly what I wanted. It was their recommendation on how to order through my insurance. I at first, didn't get my glasses within the two weeks they told me they'd be in. They had to be shipped to me. I blindly assumed the lenses were correct when they were sent to me. I finally wore them for the first time, months later (since I had moved). They didn't seem right so I had the lenses changed out. They were still wrong. I called the office to see how I could get them corrected to the right lenses. Someone transferred me to someone named Dawn. I briefly told her what I had ordered and what I received. She kept talking over me and telling me I was wrong and that they would never order glasses for me the way I was telling her. Which is 100% wrong, being the fact that I own a pair of glasses I got from that office a year prior. The exact way I ordered them. I was on the phone with her for over 30 mins asking how to fix the problem. Meanwhile she was being extremely rude, talking over me and yelling at me for no reason. Telling me I don't understanding her because I'm not listening. I heard every word you said. YOU were not listening and comprehending what I was saying because you were too busy trying to convince yourself that you would were right! I never once said I was right or correct in all of this. I was explaining what I ordered and asked how to fix things and she continued to yell at me. I was referred here by friends and my family. I will never be back and after I've told my family what had happened, they won't be back either. You cannot run a business by yelling and belittling people. read more

I needed to have an eye exam and a solution so I could return to work ASAP. Thank you for making my appointment the next morning on a Saturday! No one else could(calling Friday morning). I came in and explained my situation and Thank you Don for understanding my needs and he said he could cut my lenses same day! I had my eye exam which was very thorough and Dr. Sabrina Yakub was so great. She is a personable and genuine person to meet. Then I was fitted by the optician Linda, who was so cheerful and helpful! I love my glasses. And Don had my lenses cut same day while I had a coffee. Amazing. The frames were a bit tight after wearing them a few days. I called and Linda said come in. I went same day on my lunch hour and she fixed the fit on the spot. It's hard to find such great personal service. She said if I'm still having trouble to just come in and she will fix it. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Tanya for many years. Recently I had a problem with my vision that required a specialist, Dr. Tanya went above and beyond to have me seen by a specialist. She actually called multiple offices in order to get me the care that was necessary to manage my problem in the timeframe needed for a positive outcome. My frames were defective, broke shortly after I bought them. called office and brought them in. Manufacture said this was not a defect, when CLEARLY it was. Office did not support their long term customer . Told me I had to buy new ones. They don't support the products they sell ! Buyer beware- lost two customers and gained a lot of bad press at a large shipping company. Keep looking - they literally said ZERO words to me when I went to pick up my glasses and complained they weren't supporting their customer. VSP has other providers. read more

The doctor herself is very kind and professional. I've been coming here for about 5 years. Never again. The lenses that they ordered came scratched. I didn't think much of it as I figured that's what a warranty is for. They reordered the lenses and when I went to pick up my second pair they had put the same scratched lenses in the glasses. Then, they went in the back and found the new lenses also were scratched. I asked for a refund and they decided to charge me $120 restocking fee on $366 glasses after initially telling me it was only a 20% restocking fee. Which I shouldn't even have to pay. She told me I had to pay the full price of the actual glasses and lenses minus the insurance coverage. So I paid for their 2 mistakes. Not professional. Don't risk buying lenses from them. If anything, come here only for the Dr but get your prescription filled elsewhere. read more

The place is kind of tucked into the corner so it's a little easy to miss, just look for the big sign that says optometrist. Dr. Sabrina helped me out with my prescription. She was extremely nice and very easy to talk to. Definitely prefer this place over my last few optometrists. 10/10 for these two! read more

Avoid this office, they will give you wrong prescription .... and then be too arrogant to admit and fix their mistakes... I took my daughter for an annual eye exam and contact fitting Oct 3, 2018. We got to see Dr. Lethuy Tanya Nguyen, one of the co-owners. She was extra nice and friendly during our first visit. She gave my daughter tryout contact to test. However from the start my doughtier realized that those were not the right prescription. We visited the following week or so for a follow-on, and the Dr. Lethuy gave her a new set of contact to try that had astigmatism correction this time. Same feedback from my daughter as she was seeing blurry and they were an obvious not fit for her. We visited the office the third time, and this time the Dr. was really upset because my daughter took them off and did not come wearing them. My daughter tried to explain to her that the contact were bothering her, hence she is not wearing them. Then Dr. turned to me and asked me what to do. I told her that she is the one the need to provide advice not me ... I think DR. was simply tried to our multiple follow-on visits and just wanted to finalize the prescription. I made another appointment with our local COSTCO Optometric office and those guys have really up dated testing equipment vs. the manual old fashion set up that DR. Lethuy has. Summary; the BOTH the refraction glasses prescription and the contact ones for BOTH eyes were off. There was no astigmatism to correct. It was so non-complex reading were both eyes had the same reading measurements. Went back to the office trying to get my money back by showing them the major discrepancy in their testing results but the they are playing games, like check back tomorrow since the DR. is not in the office. I gave the office time to correct themselves (2 weeks) but they do not want to fix the issue. I got my co-payment from my Visa Credit card and I am filing a dispute with the Aetna. read more

I've been going here for over 10 years, the previous owners/Dr's were amazing and if this review was for them it would be 5 stars. On the last yearly visit the new Dr's decided my daughters prescription was too strong and changed it. At first we told our daughter that it may take a few weeks to get used to the new prescription but it's not been over 3 months and she still complains of blurred vision and headaches from wearing the new prescription. We've made an appointment with another group and my family will not return here. read more

I hadn't had an eye exam done in 2 years and decided it was time. Aliso Hills got me in very quickly for an appointment. Upon arrival I was greated by friendly staff. Their facility is very clean and well kept. I was able to talk to the optometrist without feeling like she needed to rush to the next patient. Ordering my glasses and contacts was the same, I was given options and the staff was great! I had several questions about my insurance and coverage etc and they were very patient to explain and help me pick out what I was comfortable with! Once I ordered my contacts I received a phone cal the next day to pick them up! I will be returning to this office for all future exams. read more
