My first time getting threaded by her, she took a good moment to assess my eyebrows and discuss with me what it was that I wanted. She explained what she would have to do to each eyebrow, because I do have microblading, and answered any questions I had prior to moving forward. Throughout the process, she had me take a look to make sure I was happy and to make sure I didn't want anything done differently. She advised me to not pluck my eyebrows so that at my next appointment she can assess my hair growth and work with what eyebrows I do have. I have been looking for a new place to fix and clean up my brows and I have found Alka's through Yelp. I am glad I did. I have previously gone to the Northridge Mall and Canoga Park to thread my eyebrows. The northridge mall was not a good experience, and Ziba in Canoga Park was often too busy and was mixed with results. Also near where I live in Northridge there is a $5 threading place but they are not good at all. In addition, one of my eyebrows was uneven with the other and I needed to have a clean-up and restyle of my brows. Alka provides great service and balanced my eyebrows out. They also look sharper and a whole lot nicer. She takes her time, unlike the places at the mall where they want you in and out in just a few minutes. She does indeed have her business in her garage as others have said, but she does make you feel at home. I certainly will go back in the future. The price is $12 and totally worth it.
