We Jorge! He is an amazing groomer! When my pup knows she is going to see him she gets so excited and runs to the car. If I get there before she is ready to say goodbye to him she refuses to come to me. I'm very upset with the grooming service my golden retriever received at all about dogs in Taylorsville. Instead of a proper trim like they always do they completely shaved him, even after my husband told them what he needed done. The groomer (not his regular one) said the only way she can groom him was shaving him because he was matted... what!! Do you know anything about this breed!! Something that should never be done to a double-coated breed. He needed to be bathed, hair trim and de shedding treatment like he always gets. Not getting completely shaved!!! Not only is it bad for his coat and health, but the haircut looks terrible and uneven. On top of that, the service was overpriced for the poor quality of work. I expected professional care and basic breed knowledge. I've been taking him there for over 6 years and never had any issues but unfortunately this experience was the opposite. This has happened to other golden retriever owners. I regret trusting them with my sweet boy I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this groomer to other pet owners who care about their dog's well-being. read more

I have two dogs I have taken in and they have both been nicked and cut while being groomed. In Dec 2024 I picked my Snwozer up to realized they cut her throat so bad it took a month to heal. They dried the hair together to get it to stop bleeding before I picked her up- shame on them. If they nick or cut your dog they should tell you before you leave. They have hired a bunch of hackers that don't know how to groom without cutting & nicking. I will never go there again read more

My mom has been to this place a couple times to take our dog Leo to get his haircut. When she picked up our dog "Leo", Leo's eyes were red and he could barely open them. My mom called this place back and asked what happened to Leo and they said "Nothing happened". Like usual, no one can take accountability for this awful thing that happened to my pet, and other peoples pet. I'm not the only one that has written a review about my pet getting hurt at this place. Kami is the most truly competent & talented dog groomer we have had the good fortune to work with. We have been getting teddy bear cuts for our tiny white Pomeranian, Winter, since he was a small pup, & have tried many groomers prior. Although It's not an easy task given we've requested no clippers be used at any time (all scissor cut), she makes his perfect groom job look effortless. Also, Winter absolutely loves Kami, which speaks volumes to her gift as a dog whisperer as well. All About Dogs is an excellent establishment -very clean, well staffed, & perfectly managed. I took my dog there last week and yes he was matted. They didn't tell me there had been an issue, they just handed him back. I am slowly finding more and more injuries done to him and decided not to let that slide. I'm sad how badly they hurt him. read more

Another great experience for my Sammi. She was done early than expected, and was so enjoying her time with the ladies and other groomed dogs, she didn't want to leave! Lol I was disturbed by the negative review. That person mistakenly reviewed the 'other'place and not All About Dogs, which is right next to yummy Canton Wok. How do I know? I've taken my pup to get groomed before but I decided to try a place a little cheaper. Never am I ever going back here again. I do not recommend this place it isn't worth it. My dogs hair is choppy, uneven. They didn't really do what I asked for and now he looks so funky! I paid $74 for this and it was such a waste of money I should've gone to Paw By Paw even though they're a little pricier. but the service was nice! read more

Thought I was a good customer. I always showed up on time and made sure to give groomer a generous tip. Called to clarify what I believed was a mistake in an appointment time and rather than try and work with me , all I was told was that it would cost additional charges to make any accommodation. I decided I would take my business elsewhere. Prices were already too high even without penalties. read more

Schedule an appointment for your dog because there are a ton of animals that get taken care of. My dog always comes back so clean, and Lehua always gives me tips on how to keep my dog's shedding down. read more

DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!! They hurt them. Terrible!!! My dog has had behavioral changes since coming to this groomer when the new owners took over. My dog had been getting groomed here for awhile but when new owners took over I started to notice my dogs behavior changing in not wanting to come in when before he was fine. I had to drag him in and he resisted so much that He peed and pooped. He has never done that at the groomers. Ever. Since he came to this groomer he's never been the same. It got to the point that we decided to not take him there anymore and they called me and said that they wouldn't accept him anymore when he'd been groomed there before multiple times with the old owners WITH NO PROBLEMS. We had already decided to use someone else but my dog is now traumatized and super aggressive with people in uniforms (groomer scrubs). The damage has been done and now my dog is not the same. They're super rude and mean to the dogs. I'm still dealing with the repercussions. My neighbors had the same exact issues with their small dogs. SAME EXACT ISSUES. I took my dog in last weekend to be groomed, I was aware he was matted pretty badly and told them to shave off everything. My dog used to go to his groomer every six weeks before we moved to Utah and never once had an issue or was ever aggressive. They told me they had to muzzle him due to his bitting. When I picked him up he was super choppy on the cut in places and they nicked him and cut him in various places. His body is covered in scabs from it. I understand he was matted but a week later his cut on his ears was so bad I took him to be checked by the vet and they let me know he had a really bad ear infection. This is all unfortunate events I can handle, this wasn't the worst of it. I noticed my dog licking his behind and being more sensitive to it this last week since leaving the groomers. His anal glands got so swollen by the end of the week it started to ooze out. I immediately took him to the vet and they had to sedate him to go in and extract the infected abscess. I'm currently sitting in my car with my sedated dog and just shocked that this has all happened due to poor grooming. The vet said that groomers can incorrectly express anal glands and cause drastic issues like this one. If there were issues when they expressed his glands they should have notified me. Definitely not returning. read more

My beloved bully furbaby passed away back in October, I was gifted with a new puppy & she is now old enough to be out & about she experienced her first professional groom today. I honestly couldn't be happier with all the ladies in this shop. When I told them the story of why my bully wasn't walking in w/me but they have a new client we're happy to see my rambunctious pup to play with. They all are so compassionate for my loss but loved giving my pup her 1st groom.they did a great job and gave me a progress report of her first bath & brush & gave me recommendations for items to get to continue working w/between her spaw day appointments. I love taking my pups here, they have a decent price and I can almost always get my little loves in on short notice, and boy are they quick. Granted my pooches don't need hair cuts or anything, just baths and nails done, and they do a wonderful job at that. The ladies are so nice and helpful. I can always count on them. My sister uses this groomer, so gave it a try yesterday. It was great, in under two hours. I had a beautiful, clean and happy dog. Less stress on your dog, because he didn't have to stay all day. No easy trick to cut and dry a cocker spaniel in under 2 hours. I will be using them next month. read more

We just moved to the area and we were really hoping to find a great groomer on this side of town. It took us a few tries in our previous neighborhood. I called in hopes that they would be able to get us in same day, and within the hour they were able to get appointment for my two Yorkies. They were so nice and listened to what I was looking for. I went to run errands and less than two hours later, she called to say they were done. I went back and could not have been more pleased. They both were perfect! I brought my Norwegian elk hound in to be shaved for the summer. Whoever the groomer was, she shaved him so closely that she actually shaved his skin, and wounded him on his skin and did so seriously behind both ears. It resulted in ugly, painful (for my dog) scabs that lasted for weeks. I took him back to show the damage to the groomer, and they would not take any responsibility, saying his fur was so matted that they "did the best they could." Yes, his fur was matted, but that is no excuse for hurting a dog's skin. I am never going back. read more

Love this place! Don't let the name get you, it is NOT A Cut Above. The groomers were all very friendly and seemed to be happy doing their job. You would never guess that it is full of dogs because the place smells great when you walk in. My puppy did not have to sit in a kennel at all, they called as soon as he was done and he was a happy camper when I picked him up. Don't let this place confuse you they are a cut above they have changed the name to all about dogs but they are a cut above dog grooming they cut dogs they keep dogs in the kennel for up to 3 hours and then when I ask her how long do you think my dogs going to have to be in the kennel well it's Saturday so its pretty busy so if you don't want your dog to sit in the kennel then maybe you should go somewhere else I can't believe anybody close to these people they should be shut down by the animal control they are horrible people they should be cited for animal cruelty I took my dog there for 3 years and then they slowly started to change stuff and then my dog started to come home with razor burn and one time it was so bad that around my dogs rectum was bleeding and then I looked it up her ear and it look like they had almost nipped her ear off and there was no attempt to put any neosporin or to let me know about it stay away read more
