I had a wheel come basically off my car and was stranded at a businesses parking lot. My bolts had come loose and my rim was scrapping against my brake caliper. I could not for the life of me get the spare on because the brake disc was out of alignment and the pin was broken. I called AAA and they couldn't get the tire back on, they offered to drag my low riding car which would have wrecked my vehicle. I was freaking out and had to leave the car on a jack in the parking lot overnight, I considered just scrapping the car to not have to pay impound fees. I asked my mechanic if he knew a guy to deal with this kind of tricky problem, and he immediately referred me to Mark at All About towing. I called and asked for him by name, Mark met me early in the morning quickly and managed to get the tire on with a shovel and a whole lot of obvious experience. He told me the car didn't deserve wrecking, I drove to the mechanic and they fixed me up for way less than what I thought was going to cost. When I walked in with Mark the mechanic looked at him and said "I knew you could do it". Pure professional. What really sets Mark apart is that the job I asked for was to tow my car to a dealer that would have scrapped it for parts, he could have done that and earned the 105 no questions asked. Instead, he actually was looking out for my best interest and saved me from having to buy a new car and told me a bunch of awesome fishing spots while doing it, big dad energy for sure. He also succeeded where AAA failed and taught me a thing or two about how tires work. Mark was a godsend during an absolutely awful couple days. No need to look elsewhere, this is a service clearly run by professionals that will have your best interest at heart if you're in a tough situation. I also just want to point out the one star reviews are from folks who park illegally and act like its the towing places fault they did so, as someone who lived in college apartments for a lot of my life I'm calling management to get your ass towed if you're in the spot I paid for, its not the tow truck drivers fault. read more

So here i am writing a review. I dont care to write much. However i do want to get my point across about this tow company. Let me tell you the story first. I had my truck parked at a friends apartment in davis. At around 3am, a tow truck driver employed by ALL ABOUT TOWING, was called to my truck to tow it. When the tow truck driver arrived on scene, he claimed he had found my left front window and left front tire "vandalized". To me this was a shock because knowbody goes around and breaks one window and slashes one tire on a truck who they dont even know. Reguardless of the situation there was over $900.00 in damages. You would think that the tow driver/company (All About Towing) would make it part of there Standard Operation Procedures to call the police and make a report before they tow a crime scene/vandalized vehical. Am i right ? Instead the tow driver took matters into his own hands and took the truck without calling the police to at least make a report for liablity reasons. The best part is they said it would be $400.00 for the tow fee. There was VERY suscpious damage made to my truck, while it just so happend to be towed that night. Hmmm kinda weird if you ask me. In my mind, which doesnt count for much. Except for the fact that i paid ALL my savings to go to paramedic school....and I volenteer my time in the ER and this is how i get paid back by good karam...??? This company (All About Towing) has 0 respect for probperty, only MONEY. They will lie to your face. They will make up the prices. They will leave you empty handed and out of cash in the end.....bottom line....so no i do not recomend this company. In fact i hope they get even more legal action to come. Bottom line is you cant lie to people. You cant be a criminal and make up prices. The company and driver have no Heart. When you're an "unintentional customer" it can seem that businesses have the upper hand and may try to take advantage of you. Unfortunately, towing companies get more than their fair share of this rap, simply due to the nature of the work. This doesn't apply to All About Towing. These guys were great. I was in a car accident recently and my car and I were picked up by Brian, who also made sure to collect the broken bits off the road and sweep up the debris. I had injured myself on impact (later at the hospital, it turned out I had broken a bone in my hand and had cracked a couple of ribs--ouch!), and wasn't able to do much, but Brian helped out the whole way. When we got to the towing yard after closing time, Brian and Mark searched the shop for an elastic bandage and something to ice my hand (Otter Pops rule!) while I made the necessary phone calls. Mark had a great sense of humor about the whole thing, which helped ease my stress as well. I want to take a moment and especially commend Brian, a fellow service member. Even before I told him that I am also a serviceman, he was extremely courteous and thoughtful. He talked easily with me on the ride over, which helped calm my nerves, and we discussed his time in service and his future aspirations. He helped with my bags and the stuff I had in my car and treated me with the utmost respect. I attribute this to his nature, rather than the military respect that servicemen share with each other. Later, he gave me a ride in his personal vehicle into town where I could sit and wait for my ride to come and take me to the clinic to have my hand looked at. When two strangers are brought together in a stressful situation, it helps to have level-headed and courteous assistance and Brian was all that and more. I called a recommended towing company at 10:00am on a Sunday morning, needing a tow just across town here in Davis. After several rings, the receptionist told me it would be at least 1.5 hours before a truck could get to me. Needing something sooner, I called All About Towing. After the first ring (yes, the first ring!) a very pleasant receptionist came on the phone, took down my information, and told me it would be "20 minutes before the driver can get there." I assumed the 20 minutes figure was overly optimistic, so I didn't rush to get to where the car was stranded and arrived exactly 20 minutes later, fully expecting to wait another 15-30 minutes. To my astonishment, just as I arrived so did the tow truck! The driver of the truck, Mark W., was OUTSTANDING! He was incredibly efficient (the car was ready to be towed in less than a minute after Mark arrived ... yes, LESS than a minute ... the technology was absolutely amazing!) and he was very personable and courteous. Whatever the definition for excellent customer service, Mark exceeded it! Now, needing to have your car towed ranks probably somewhere between going to the dentist and getting a parking ticket, but the experience with Mark W. and All About Towing was truly exceptional. I rarely take the time to write a review because I rarely receive the kind of service worthy of one. All about towing is a very good company and they are very kind and fair with prices to the person that made a unfair and false complaint about the tow yard and my self I am deeply offended I never said I work for the tow yard which I have messages to back that up I said they WORK WITH ME BY GIVING ME better prices to ne because of the relationship we have I been a customer of them for more then 15 years and they have been really good to me I offered a full refund the sane day to Rachael t bought the car and her husband stated to messages that he wanted to wait and see if he could get more for it I also gave them a huge discount on the car from asking price to help them out from asking price this just goes to show you can't make everyone happy all the time and people just wanted to tear good people down Kevin and to all about tow I am very sorry for these unfortunate people that are very upset but that you for being a great community service for the people of davis and all around God bless you guys read more

They towed our vehicle over 10 miles from where we were and made no effort in complying within legal boundaries. This towing company has made countless enemies and is only making the target on their back bigger and bigger. Discovered that I had locked my keys in the car while running errands and knowing that I was using the spare key, I called All About Towing. Mark answered and let me know that he was in the middle of a police job and it could be an hour. I appreciated how up front he was about the time it might be until he could get to me. Being that I was at Target, I went back inside, grabbed a hot chocolate and prepared to wait. After just 25 minutes, Mark called back to let me know he was just a couple of miles away and would be there right away. It took a few tries to get the door unlocked, but Mark was calm, confident and did a great job at putting me at ease. The paperwork probably took longer than opening the locked door! If you have to need a tow or road side assistance, it is nice to work with someone who can easily put you at ease. It is said that doctors should have a great bedside manner, Mark has a great "road side" manner. read more

Also notice how they steal and sell people's cars despite not having any of the registration or paperwork or pink-slip or keys, looks like they enjoy doing business with other criminals who know how to make other people's cars their own car. My experience with All About Towing was nothing but positive! After having to deal with a dead car followed by useless roadside "assistance," I called All About Towing to help get my car to the nearest repair shop. Mark Wohlgemuth showed up at my apartment complex at his earliest convenience and was immediately helpful and friendly. He talked to my insurance company so that I wouldn't have to pay for the second assistance call out-of-pocket, was kind enough to give my car a jump and assess the battery and alternator, and even followed me to the repair shop to make sure that my car made it there without any issues. Mark was extremely understanding of my situation and made the whole ordeal much less stressful. I definitely know who I'll be calling if I run into any more car problems in the future. I got locked out my car with the keys in the ignition, with the ignition still running in Downtown Davis. I have insurance from a smaller insurance company based way away from here so I knew it would take a while so I found this place on davisiki. Mark was prompt and friendly on the phone, came within fifteen minutes, and unlocked my car. He even advised me to keep my window down halfway whenever I get out of the car with the keys in AND recommended I call my insurance company and ask if they could cover the bill. He chatted with me the whole time and told me it happens to the best of us, even himself so I didn't feel like a complete idiot. All in all, perfect and prompt service. My car had broken down in the middle of the street in downtown Davis and I didn't know why because I had replaced my battery literally yesterday. I called all about towing and they were nice enough to come help because my insurance was planning on charging me $170. All About Towing was substantially cheaper and even more helpful! John De Le Cruz quickly came and helped me in a very easy going and positive manner. He made sure to test out my car and figure out what might be wrong with it prior to hooking me up. Figures its probably my alternator that died and needs replacing. He was also nice enough to tow me to a neighboring car shop that would help me fix my car! This was the best towing experience I've unfortunately had to have.(On Thanksgiving at that). I was stuck on the side of the 80-West Freeway because my car clunked at. Mark W. arrived within his stated 30 minutes and took care to mount my car properly since it was a rear-wheel drive and not front like I stated over the phone (I'm a woman...) He was very nice, professional and conversational on the drive to Sacramento. When we arrived, he took the extra care and time to park my car in the stall...which often times causes me trouble to get in to...I would definetely call him if I'm in a jam in the Davis/Dixon area. This place may be good for when you need help, but they do unnecessary things for profit. They tow my car without warning or any indication that it has been towed, which is outrageous because I believed my car was stolen for a little while. They also overcharge for getting the car back. I was charged $450, and a $130 charge was added just because I came in after hours, which is when they took it. The guy who towed my car was extremely passive in telling me why my car was towed; he fabricated a story that someone else called in the tow when he, in fact, called it in himself. Best tow company ever! Jessica and Mark took all my worries and fears away. I was stranded in Woodland and they provided more then just customer service they treated me like a human being and not a number. I work and go to school full time and I'm always on a time schedule I work my ass off for what I have and I wasn't happy with my own insurance company. I am so pleased with my experience! Dominic showed up within 15 minutes, he was very professional and friendly. My car broke down on the side of the highway 50 miles from home, with my children while on a family caravan road trip. Dominic had a great sense of humor that lightened the mood and put my mind at ease, took my car all the way back home and we were able to continue on our trip with our family. Needing to have one's car towed can be a very frustrating and stressful situation. I called my insurance company to use my policy's towing service for my dead battery Prius and they selected All About Towing. My lucky day. The tow company actually called with the 30 minute notice that they were enroute so I could leave work and meet them at my car. The driver, Mark, was very helpful and professional and taught me a couple things about my electric car that I didn't know. Amazing service. When I called my road side service, they told me it was going to take 45 minutes to get someone to help me open my car. However, the man called me to get my correct address, I explained to him that my cars were locked in and I was in a hurry. He told me not to worry and got to my car ASAP.
