Rude and unprofessional. Long wait times and zero accountability. They are surely running a scam. The driver they dispatch showed up high and took several minutes to come out. Once he arrived, his equipment didn't work properly so he had to leave for additional time to retrieve new equipment. Octavio's towing left me hanging for hours. They contracted my tow through my insurance company, but never showed up and did not even call to keep me informed. I finally called them, and they promised to get a truck out ASAP, but then canceled the contract with the insurance company without informing me, which left me waiting for the next tow company. The second company, AM/PM towing, showed up when they said they would and completed the job that Octavio's would not. I requested a tow through my insurance company roadside service app and Octavio's towing was dispatched within 10 minutes or so. The truck arrived about 20-25 minutes later. The driver was professional and pleasant, and he loaded my poor little car up quickly (dead battery due to dead alternator). My husband had met me at the location so he and I drove home. The tow truck arrived at our house a few minutes after we arrived and got my car into the driveway. I had gone inside and the driver knocked on our door to check and make sure my car was placed where I wanted it before dropping it from the truck. I thought that was very nice to ask! After a quick signature, the driver was on his way. I did not have to pay anything as the bill was sent automatically to my insurance. The driver even showed the $0 cost to me before I signed. The whole production from service request to landing in my driveway took just under an hour. The quick response time and professionalism/courtesy and cordiality from the driver made it all very low-stress for me in what could have been a stressful situation. Why have an automated message of an eta of 90 minutes, if you're not able to make it by then? I was given Octavio's through my insurance at 8:48. I called after the 90 minutes, and was told "we're running behind, it'll be about an hour". I accepted it because towtruck companies are famous for taking a while. I called again after the hour, and was told another hour. At this point I'm looking for other tows, all estimating an hour. So I decided to just wait out til Octavio's towing comes out, silly me huh. I called again at the hour, and guess what they said... another hour, so I canceled and they guy said "okay bye" and clicked.. not good service... do not recommend read more

I sold a car to Peddle who used Octavio's for pickup. Octavio's would only give a 4 hour window for pickup, and the car was an hour from me. When I called them to ask for notice they agreed but didn't follow up at all, and I had to call them instead. When they arrived they tried to say I had signed the title in the buyers spot (I didn't) and then they said they weren't sure they could get approval, it was a sketchy runaround interaction. I had waited to fill in the date (in case the tow co was a no show) and the tow driver said it wasn't needed! The date is what releases me from responsibility for the car! I insisted on filling in the date. I asked to borrow a wrench to remove plates and they said they would have to charge me for that, so I went across the street and bought a wrench. (It costs them NOTHING to let me use a wrench - ever heard of customer service, or just being a good human??) When they finally gave me a check it was handwritten by the driver and hardly legible. When I took the check to the bank they said it was tripping their fraud alert systems because Peddle was unknown and the illegible state of the check itself. (Bank offered to provide me with recourse for check fraud, and apologized for having to place a 9 day hold on the check) Because of Octavio's the process was truly sketchy. Felt very uncouth. Long story short they gave a 1.5 hr wait time. After that time passed, they posptponed multiple times and arrive 2 hours later almost. so the total wait time was 3.5 hours. Terrible experience and would not recommend to family and friends. Got this company assigned through Kia Roadside Assistance. We will let Kia know also. I asked for roadside assistance through my bank, and they dispatched Octavio's Towing to my location. My bank estimated 60-90 minutes of wait time, but Alex, the person driving the towing vehicle through Octavio's Towing, arrived within 20 minutes! He was very kind and personable, showed me where my spare was (I didn't even know I had one lol), and listened to me when I explained I wanted to get a replacement tire since I still had a lot of driving to do today. He brought me to my destination of choice quickly and safely, and also made sure I was well informed of what I needed at the facility I picked, which I was so thankful for since I had no idea what I was doing. My car broke down on the way to work in Davis, so I requested a tow from my workplace to the dealership. I got a very fast response through my insurance App (Allstate), and within 20 minutes Alex came out to my workplace and had my car securely on the bed of the tow truck. Zach is an awesome dude. I was stranded in downtown Davis with my family, because our car stopped shifting gears. Zach arrived within the hour and we explained the issue to him. Instead of towing, he checked out the car and determined a bushing broke on the shift linkage cable. He tied it down and we were able to drive the car home and get it to a repair shop that he recommended. The repair shop was great, so I appreciated the recommendation plus his help and knowledge about the issue. I also had Octavio's come out to jumpstart my car back in February and the guy who helped me out was really cool. Both times were by way of roadside assistance through my insurance. ZERO! And thank you Yelp! I was assigned Octavio's by my insurance company. That was at 5:25. A bit later we got a text that it would be 70 minutes. It is now 6:55. Just got a phone call saying that Octavio's just said they couldn't make it. So the insurance got me another one - in 2 hours, and this one will cost $175 for a 9 mile tow.... To be honest, I looked at the Yelp reviews when we got Octavio's, and my boyfriend called AAA and got a backup plan. Good call. They will be here in a half hour. for free. read more

I'm not super surprised that a towing company has low stars but that makes me feel even better about writing a positive review for them. I had to have my car towed which was absolutely devastating but the experience I had from Octavio's was amazing. My car is an all wheel drive so it's a bit of a pain to tow but the employee who came to do it was professional and super kind. He did an excellent job in maneuvering my not-so-small car out of a tight spot in a small parking lot and getting it all done in a pretty timely manner. On top of that, I rode with him to the mechanic and the truck was clean and super comfortable. As a single woman, I'm always a little bit nervous about being in these types of situations but I felt totally safe and comfortable with Octavio's and would definitely be willing to use them again (although, really, I hope I never will need them again). read more

My battery died and I was stuck in a public parking lot in the dark. Octavio's Towing was dispatched through my roadside assistance. The tow truck driver arrived without jumper cables, because he had forgotten them. What's a tow truck driver without their jumper cables? He waisted no time getting back into his tow truck to take off, saying that he couldn't help me and to make sure when I reached back out to my roadside assistance, that I tell them my battery died "so the next driver won't have this problem." As if it were my fault he didn't have his jumper cables. The service request was canceled and I ended up having to wait another 2 hours for a different tow truck company. This rating if for the it's roadside assistance responder and tow truck driver, Rodolfo.... My van was disabled and had to require roadside assistance. It was a very busy day I guess for those towing services in the area as we were meant to wait for a long time to get a service from our auto insurance company. When finally a towing service was found, this business responded timely. But what impressed me most is the roadside assistance responder whose name is Rodolfo who was so nice and helpful. Unfortunately my van has to be towed. He even was the one who recommended their company knowing that they have an available towing truck right away. It sure was a big help since I was able to recommend the same business to the roadside assistance dispatcher. After couple of hours more to wait, Rodolfo is back this time with the towing truck. He is very cheerful, helpful and with such a very pleasing attitude. He offered help beyond what's expected of him. And he didn't leave us until he's sure that we're all set, safe and secured. Rodolfo is such an asset to your company. He deserves a raise or a complimentary pay. Thank you. read more

Let me start with my road side assistance left me on the road for almost 4 hours! After calling them numerous times they said the tow truck that was coming broke down. They did not call us to let us know and they could not secure us another one. We called Octavio's Tow and he was able to be there in 30 mins! He said 30 and he was there in 30! What a horrible tow company. I would give no stars but that is not an option. I got this company from my insurance company and it was the worst experience ever. I was told the driver would arrive in 90 minutes and once 90 minutes passed and still not tow truck I reached out by phone to get an eta. Nobody answered my call so I texted to see if they were on the way and the response that I received was "no" so I asked when they planned to arrive and got no response. I then called a few more times till I was able to get someone to answer and they told me it would be another hour. At this point I started to review the Yelp reviews and got very concerned that the driver may never show up as previously put down by other people. I called another tow company on my own because I didn't want to be stranded. The hour came and I reached back out by text to confirm he would be arriving and he said no another 30 minutes. Worst roadside experience. Was assigned this tow company by my insurance was given a 60 min eta however it took them an hour and 50 minutes. They did not update the eta or notify of delays. I even called and asked if it would be past a specific time because I had a very important appointment I could not miss and they said there would be no delay. I went here for a u-haul rental. Best kept secret in Dixon. Professional and polite quick service. Picked up our rental and was able to get on the road quick. Easy after hours return. I would recommend using this company for haul. I have not used towing but would imagine their service is similar. read more
