Jesse did well to come out quickly to remove the fallen tree in my yard on Oct 14 after my phone call to him. Then he promised to bring a stump grinder in a couple of weeks to complete the job for $200. However, when I asked a few questions about the grinding he took them as attacks on him, claimed he has done this for 40 years, a comment that had no relevance to my questions which were about how the ground would look when he was done, wondering if I would need more gravel, for example, just questions about information. But he then threatened to not do the work he promised because I wanted information which he took as a challenge to his ability which my questions were not. He finally agreed to do the grinding on Friday, Oct 7, but then indicated a change and that his crew would be out between 7 and 8 AM on Sat, Oct 8. They did not show up and he ignored my phone calls and texts to him requesting information about when the grinding would take place on the 8th. He agree on the 14th to do the grinding for $200 but has abandoned the job and this is unethical. His texts promising work on the 7th and the 8th were untrue as he did not intend to do the work he agreed to do on Oct 14. read more

I hired Jesse as one of my pine trees was not looking so good. I found all about trees online and Jesse showed up relatively quick. His feedback is the borer bugs are killing the tree and I need to treat it with his special tea mix (fertilizer, pesticides, and insecticides) to help roots drink it to drive the bugs out. His specific words is this mix will help it and revive it and you have 1 out of 4 chance it will die. Nevertheless we agreed on price and his crew came to treat it in a weekend. He requested cash payment only for services which was a bit odd but whatever. A week after treatment all the trees started to look significantly worse. I called Jesse and his comment is we should cut it down and wanted a godly amount for services and said I need to wait. So I did and called other arborist and they specifically noted pine trees are not up taking during hot summer and any treatment would have shocked it making things worse. Their feedback is I wasted my money on putting treatment as most likely it would have shocked it in mid summer. 4 weeks after treatment tree completely died. Waste of money and time. Maybe his crew is good at cutting trees but does not seem so for reviving. Be careful as I am not alone read more

Received numerous quotes for tree trimming and removing dead branches on a 20-year-old Ash tree. Jesse, the owner, came to my home on Thursday, at precisely the time scheduled, and provided a quote for trimming plus deep root feeding for the fungus that had been diagnosed. Their company has certified arborists and were the only one to tell me that the all the dead branches were due to tree fungus. I might add that the quote for trimming plus deep root feeding/treatment for the fungus issue was comparable to the other quotes received that were only for trimming. An appointment was set up for the following Monday for work to be done, and three-man crew arrived on time. They not only did a beautiful job of trimming the tree but also cleaned up the dead leaves that had fallen the night before from both my home and my neighbors. I might add that one of the crew, Jacob, had been recommended by Jesse for sprinkler repair issues I had. Jacob did an awesome job of not only fixing a major leak in the system but also replacing the majority of the sprinkler heads that had been damaged by my landscaping crew. Called these guys on a Tuesday.. they came out the next day for estimate. Reduce a 40-50 foot Ash tree by 75 percent. Price was about what I figured it included haul off. They got me scheduled for a week later. When I left for work today there were leaves all over the back yard ... I figured there would be more after they were done and I would wait to clean them up. I got home and there were no leaves in the front yard where they had to pass to load the branches. To my shock there isn't a leaf on the ground in the back yard either. Mind blown !! Was searching for assistance on my main street view tree (Chinaberry) which was mature at 20-30 ' tall and almost 20 yrs. old. Issue was browning "tips/ends" on 3-4 branches. As a precaution I wanted to remove the browning ends. ALL ABOUT TREES was hired to prune/trim (where needed) and also to "treat" for (what they diagnosed) as a fungus. When they finished, my tree looked like a hedge trimmer had given it a haircut. The entire tree was drastically altered (NOT just the browned tips). My desire for the tree is confirmed by the written proposal language. Work done on 8-17-20. On 9-4-20 I called and talked to the owner "Jesse" to complain about the status of the tree. He said to wait until the spring season and the tree would be OK. It is now the spring and the tree looks terrible and almost the top 1/3 of the tree seems to be deadwood with no signs of life. I am convinced now that my only option is total removal of the tree. They were paid $300 for tree work and another $100 for fungus treatment (which I don't think I ever received) VERY SAD & very avoidable. read more

I had 8 trees in need of work. The required work and a price was established. This included shaping, thining, 1 removal of dead wood and one tree removal. Six of these trees were worked on to complete satisfaction including the removal. The last two trees were cut short on work. It was late in the day and the boss wanted to go home and did not want to come back the next day. The first of these two trees was not completely shaped with no work done on the top. I would say he shorted me $50 on this tree. The second tree he did remove the dead wood but would not thin the tree as requested. I would say he shorted me $100 on this second tree. I had explained what I wanted and he conveniently forgot and would not accept my need. I was upset. My rating is harsh but I truly feel that I was taken advantage of. Too much hastle. read more

My trees have not been looking good so I called in 3 top rated Tree Services in the valley for quotes on my 4 Shamel Ash trees. The quotes ranged in price from $280 to $680 to drench, spray the tree and trunk, put systemic insecticide into the root system and inject liquid fertilizer in a grid. What they didn't tell me was tree sap at this time of year is on it's way down, hence Fall season. SO....why fertilize now? I learned this from Jesse the owner and sole proprietor of All About Trees. I explained what the other tree services had told me I needed done and he told me....."Look, if you want to give me your money, I will take it, but honestly you don't need to do that until April". He explained how this is the slow time of year for tree feeding companies and that is why you see all of these promotions now. The only logical tree care now is pruning because most trees are going into their dormant state. I have to commend Jesse on his honesty and his regimen for proper tree care. It all makes sense and if you do your homework you won't be out of pocket $680, it will only cost you maybe a third. I will be calling Jesse in April for my tree care. We contract All About Trees to trim several trees on our property. During the quote process we were told that one of our trees (large Mulberry) would need to be done when it cools off, but would be included in the quote. All About Trees showed up in August and trimmed 3 small trees in our front yard and 4 large olive trees, this was fine as we knew they would come back for the mulberry, so we paid them the 2000.00 as stated on the quote. Fast forward to October, we call to have them come back and were surprised to find out that the they would need to come back and re-quote the mulberry tree as it wasn't included in the original quote, even though it is at the very top of it. Sadly disappointed with them as we had a quote for a few hundred more from another company that I feel we should have gone with. Lesson learned, don't pay them until all quoted work is completed! read more

We used All About Trees once before and we were very satisfied with them. Jesse the owner is knowledgeable and his company does excellent work. My wife wanted to use them again but she called the wrong company, one we used prior to All About Trees, and we were very unhappy with them. Unfortunately we still had to pay this other company. My wife called Jesse and explained what happened. They came and fixed everything. Jesse removed the dying palms that we had to pay this other company to trim. All About Trees expertly thinned and shaped our one olive and it will be beautiful in the spring. Unlike the wrong company they cleaned up nicely...the wrong company actually hid a lot of debris under hedges and other bushes. I made an online request for Tempe Trees. When I got a call back, it was from All About Trees. Was told that Tempe Trees owns three different tree companies. Nevertheless, All About Trees did an amazing job for us! Had an early morning appointment with Jesse for a quote. He was right on time. Friendly and helpful in determining what we needed. Quote given that date. We went with all except treating 2 Palo Verde trees for insects. Had to change our date of service due to irrigation, and they were accommodating. Said to arrive between 6-6:30am and they arrived at 6am. Pruned back huge hedge of oleanders, honeydue vine. Took out dead privets and pruned the rest. Removed dead wood from Sumac. Pruned additional oleanders in front yard and one in backyard. Jesse came and worked with the crew. I was very grateful that he asked me to view what they had done, and if anything more needed to be done. Crew worked diligently and did great job. Clean-up was exceptional. Total bill: $1200. Horrible service. Called two weeks ago to schedule a tree trimming was told they do their scheduling on the weekends and he would call me on Saturday. Never received that phone call. I get a call two weeks later saying that I am scheduled for Friday 9/21 between 11-1 which I accept. After taking the day off of work I am patiently waiting for service, and at 12pm on 9/21 I get a call saying we won't be making it because something "hurts" and he can get me schedule a week away! Now that's waiting a month! I let him know I am disappointed in his service and he hangs up on me. For charging $500 for tree trimming service this is NOT what one should expect. We have a older home with a pine tree on the corner facing the street , we were concerned that with monsoon weather it may come down and damage our home or garden, we wanted to be safe and use a licensed, insured, reputable, BBB company. We called All About Trees for an estimate for trim, repair or removal if needed. Jessie came to our home and told us that our tree was healthy! It had some bad trimming in the past, but was healthy now. We were worried that it leaned, but he assured us that it all trees lean to some extent in AZ and as ours leans to the north that was good. He said we could use a trim, but not now in the summer when the weather is,so hot , he advised we should contact them later in the year! How wonderful this news was! Our tree is healthy!
