I would not recommend All Aloha Plumbing. Across two visits for a suspected leak, we paid $1,020.77 total -- $246.07 for a 30-minute fixture test that found nothing, and $774.70 for a follow-up where they opened the ceiling/wall, still couldn't locate the source, and left the ceiling open with no repair (repairs are excluded from their scope). Their suggested next step was to hire someone else to remove tile and look again. Over $1,000 for two visits that ended with no diagnosis, no fix, and a damaged ceiling is not reasonable value for the work performed. The technicians were polite, but the pricing for what was essentially "we couldn't find it" twice in a row is hard to justify. If you're getting a quote from this company, ask exactly what you get for the diagnostic fee and what happens if they don't find the cause -- in our case, the answer was pay again. read more

He reconfigured my drain to center and replaced my old valves and left. the plumber forgot to leave the shower knob, faceplate, shower knob kit . The following day My contractor had advise me to give All Aloha a call. As he can't cut the wall if he doesn't know the size of face plate or what type of valve system they used. My contractor told me he's got only one shot to make it right. Tyler Wright was sent back. He handed the box filled with shower knob and trimmings to my contractor and left. After my contractor was done with the install he said now the Plummer should return to add the finishing touches . Once I called them again for the third time. I have used all aloha plumbing before. Their price was reasonable for the work to be completed. i called them for the exact same issue but at a different location. This time the price was 2X what it was just 8 mos ago. This time it was raining and they did less work than the first time (fill in the hole that was made) yet the price didn't change from the initial quote and the cost of the work was still 2X more than before. When I questioned why it was so high for the same work as before, the team member stated it is mostly labor charges. The time it took was the same amount of time as the previous job so unless they are paying the team members 700.00 an hour it doesn't make any sense. To me it all depends on who you get to come service your establishment. Some team members are on the up and up and some just want more money. I would never call aloha plumbing again as I do not want to gamble on which team members it is that comes to my door. Too bad to because the first two experiences I had were really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was initially relieved when All Aloha could get someone out to my house on the same day I requested service for a leak that the water company told me I had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But then the plumber said that there was no leak, despite me telling him the water company had told me there was and showing him the Eye On Water site showing that there was a leak somewhere. He said the best he could do would be to charge me the site fee of $20 something dollars and then include on the invoice that there was no leak so that I could show that to the water company. Several days passed and I hadn't received it, meanwhile the Eye On Water app notified me that the leak had started losing way more water than it had been (24 gal/hr up from 4 gal/hr). [[HIGHLIGHT]]So I called them this morning and they corrected my email (again, I had already updated it when I initially contacted them) and sent me not one, not two but THREE invoices ranging from $1k - $9k, the first of which states, "The customer has a leaking that is happening on the pressurized water distribution system" - so why was I told there was no leak![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]?! It's a rip off like the reviews said! If Yelp would allow Zero, I would have given it. I didn't mind the amount the astronomical fee they charged me since they came on the same day I needed them. It was to replace the wax and ring of the toilet bowl for $665. But the fact that they didn't check everything so they have to come back to check the toilet again because he missed another obvious defect which was causing another leak speaks for their competence. However, they came back and so the obvious defect but was charging me again the same out of this world pricing just to replace the flapper and something else for another almost $700. That's a total $1400 for those 1-2 hr job! I found in another hour after that plumber and charged me $75 with warranty for 3 months! We found the leak the night prior. It was leaking from the bathroom down to the 1st floor. We called around for plumbers next day ASAP. All Aloha Plumbing was the only one who responded around 7am. They sent a service man out and he did a bunch of checks from the bathroom to the 1st floor. He advised it's the bathtub drain assembly that is dripping, based on the condition it's better to replace (than to tighten the knob) since it was all rusty. He explained things in a way that someone who doesn't know plumbing (me) could understand but he wasn't condescending or obnoxious. Showed me pics of what it should look like, and what it actually looks like. He also advised to do this job, he would have to cut a larger hole too, but referred us to another company that would be able to fix the drywall when he was done. Before he even started the work, I sorta kinda rushed him for ETA of work complete. Only because if he couldn't repair today, we would have to rent a hotel for the night. Great attitude from him, he stated he'd get it done today, and if for some reason he couldn't, he'd let me know ASAP so we could make arrangements. I also asked him what time he'd stop work and he stated unless I request work to stop, he goes until the job is finished. What wonderful customer service. Around 7pm, I hadn't heard from him, so was getting kind of worried he couldn't finish. But surprisingly, he let me know that he's doing some final checks and if all is good, all is good. Before he actually even left, we did a walk thru. He showed me all the work he did and advised how the new stopper works and even wiped down some of the mess that was created. He didn't really need to do that since we went in for a deep clean later, but thanks! I also noticed he put a cover over the area where he was cutting in the wall. It was nice that he was cognizant of our other property. Other plus, he advised there is a 6 month warranty on their work. (Something like that.) They're also cashless so the invoice was sent to the email on file and he just billed the card on file. We had to leave the house and didn't get his direct # but it was easy to contact the office to get connected to him and he made sure we had their number to call just in case any issues come up. I have to admit that my opinion of All Aloha Plumbing has changed. When I was selling my house and found out that it was not legal for my house to share a cesspool with a neighboring house, I sought an estimate to get my plumbing redirected to an unused cesspool, also on my property. Since my house was post and pier, it was a matter of getting under there and doing the work. The bid came in at $27,000. Like another unsatisfied customer here, when I expressed doubt, the plumber doing the bid asked, "Well, what do you want to pay?" I told him I would prefer to pay $10,000. He then lowered the price to $20,000 after calling his office. At that point, I asked around and was pointed to another plumbing company. They came in with a bid of $7,000. So I don't know what has happened at All Aloha Plumbing but their ethics seem to have gone down the drain. I went with the second company, which did the job in a few days and ran into a problem that required rerouting an outdoor toilet as well. I don't recommend this company at all. And I regret having used them instead of other very good options in Maui. My experience was horrible. First, they had a coupon of $50 off any job on their website - they do not honor it! I applied to it. Emailed them to let them know they didnt credit it in the final invoice. I was contacted by a manager and he said he was going to look into that and call me back in 24 hours. Never heard from them again. I emailed two follow up emails. No reply whatsoever. This was a $8100 job and my HO6 homeowner insurance would have covered about 60% of this, and i opened the claim and it was approved. All they asked me was for an invoice from All Aloha Plumbing describing the labor on the walls/ceiling/drywall/block to access the water lines. This was a major part of the job. Same manager on the phone told me that was something they do all the time where they split the invoice 40/60% (plumbing/labor), for insurance purposes and he was going to get that done ASAP. They NEVER did anything. To this day, nothing. No replies to my emails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After they received full payment they ghosted me completely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had to get a loan to pay for this very pricey job they did at top dollar, and I could not use my insurance which I have been paying for over 15 years. They finally closed my claim because I was unable to provide documentation. We've had a longstanding relationship with All Aloha Plumbing. While the end results are usually professional, getting there has been far from smooth. Their pricing is consistently exorbitant, and dealing with their team is often unpleasant. To top it off, they've charged our credit card without consent on multiple occasions. They typically offer three repair options, but the cheapest one is almost guaranteed to fail within days. Choosing this option not only costs you more in the long run but also leaves you feeling belittled, despite it being far from cheap. It feels like they've created a system designed to extract excessive amounts of money from their customers. Our most recent experience involved replacing a sump pump. We supplied the pump ourselves, yet they still quoted $1,700 for less than an hour of work. On top of that, we were charged $460 to replace a simple floater and flap in the bathroom--work that should have cost no more than $150-200 and took less than 15 minutes. They also reconnected a recirculating hot and cold water pump, which didn't work properly afterward. We put the trouble call for a broken garbage disposal through Yelp on Monday morning and All Aloha Plumbing was the first to respond! We set up a time that Thursday for them to assess the situation. Luckily, Anthony was in the neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon and swung by. He checked out or disposal and it was dead. He was able to replace the garbage disposal and taught us how to care for it in less than 1/2 an hour. Great service for a reasonable price! read more

ALL ALOHA PLUMBING TRIED TO RIP ME OFF In a nutshell: they quoted me $1,671 just for installing a 40 gallon electric water heater (bought by me, and already delivered); I had it installed for $195 including all fittings necessary, and including tax. I bought the water heater from Home Depot who said that a plumbing contractor would call me for the installation. All Aloha Plumbing called me before 8:00 am on a Sunday morning (which I found slightly rude) and made an appointment to take a look at where the heater should be installed. Ben came, took a look at the closet where the water heater would be installed, and told me that since the heater had already been drained, it would cost me less money. I asked him how long it would take for the installation, and he said "two to three hours". Then he took out a pad, wrote on it, and showed me a few options, including a "standard" one at $1,671 and a "professional" one (more expensive, at over $2,100, which of course he recommended). I told him that I found this over the top, as it made the hourly labor rate of the standard (and cheapest) installation, around $500 an hour (I made allowance for a few fittings), which I told him was prohibitive. To which Ben replied: "I can tell you that we will do a very professional job. AND BESIDES, YOU REALLY NEED HOT WATER, DON'T YOU?" To which I replied: "Yes, I do, and because I really need hot water, I should pay THROUGH MY NOSE?". This unsettled him. He said that he would talk to his boss and see what they can do. Just about an hour later, I received a new quote, for $1,252.35; a 25% discount from the first price they quoted (which they would have charged had I been as ignorant as they thought I would be), but STILL A COMPLETE RIP OFF! I found a HONEST contractor who did the job very well, in one hour and a half, for $195.00 including all fittings and tax. I have hot water, and I WILL NEVER BOTHER CALLING ALL ALOHA PLUMBING EVER AGAIN. I guess the people who give them many stars for good service have no idea of how much it should cost in the real world; but I see other people here who share my opinion of their level of honesty (i.e. it is in the basement!). read more

Had them perform a simple toilet flapper and handle replacement job that would have taken me 10 minutes and costed $25 with home depot parts if I was in town. Looking at the reviews here I am left with wondering if this company represents the growing divide between how you treat on island vs off island people. I'm baffled trying to understand how people think this company has fair prices. They were called for a toilet water leak at my house and replaced a single toilet water line and it cost $735. Their quote for doing the rest of the water lines in my one bedroom two bathroom condo was $3-4k. Replacing a metal water line folks. Further when asked how they came up with this pricing (labor/parts) they are unable to come up with an answer, which leads me to believe they made it up to gouge people as much as they can. Front desk folks told me the plumber knows, the plumber tells me pricing is office thing. Wait you did the work and can't explain how you charge a customer? Yup, that is what I am told. This time I asked for an estimate to replace a kitchen and bathroom faucet in my home and to re-configure a garbage disposal placement- labor only as I purchased the materials on my own.
