I purchased my vehicle from Flow Volkswagen and later brought it back to Flow for a paid diagnostic visit due to coolant loss, drivability issues, and a check engine light. I paid for that diagnostic, and was told nothing significant was found. Shortly afterward, my independent mechanic discovered multiple serious, pre-existing issues that were either missed during Flow's diagnostic or tied directly to Flow's pre-sale service work. These included: An improperly installed water pump, missing required hardware Multiple coolant leaks and compromised cooling system integrity Corrosion and failing components related to the cooling and PCV systems A rear main seal leak requiring transmission removal Severe carbon buildup and injector issues causing drivability problems These were not minor wear-and-tear issues. The improperly installed cooling system created a real risk of sudden coolant loss and catastrophic engine damage. My independent mechanic immediately identified problems that Flow failed to catch despite charging for a diagnostic. Most concerning, Flow later acknowledged in writing that a critical component related to the water pump had not been installed correctly and offered to supply the missing part--confirming that the vehicle had been sold to me in an unsafe condition. Because of the risk involved and the lack of timely resolution, I was forced to authorize immediate repairs through my primary mechanic to prevent further damage. Those repairs totaled several thousand dollars. While Flow eventually refunded the diagnostic fee, that does not begin to address the broader issue: the vehicle was sold with improperly installed components, significant defects were missed during a paid diagnostic, and I was left to absorb the cost and stress of correcting those failures. I attempted to resolve this through: Direct communication with dealership management Volkswagen of America Better Business Bureau mediation A formal complaint with the North Carolina Attorney General At no point was this handled proactively or transparently by the dealership. I am leaving this review to warn other buyers: do not assume pre-sale inspections or paid diagnostics at this dealership are thorough or reliable. If you purchase or service a vehicle here, have it independently inspected immediately. I wish I had.

Called to ask a few questions and a rather disinterested lady told me to call back later after I found my VIN, then hung up on me! Then I emailed the person named in my appointment confirmation the same questions. Never heard back. I showed up the morning of my appointment and was unsure where to enter for service, as I didn't see any SERVICE signs. Pulled around to the bay in the back and sat there. The door never opened and I could see a person sitting at the counter inside. They ignored me. After a few minutes, I backed out and left. I was so disgusted that I considered making the 2-hour drive back to Durham for future service. On my drive home I passed the Volvo dealership right down the street from Flow. I could clearly see the SERVICE sign and decided to look online for any good deals on a new Volvo. Filled out a form online and Volvo called me within the hour. So, I drove back to the Volvo dealership, met the most amazing staff I've ever encountered at a car dealership, and left with a brand new 2026 Volvo! Flow, let this be a lesson. You lost my business that day. I happily traded in my RDX for another car and MUCH BETTER Customer Service. I would give my experience with Flow zero stars, if possible, and would not recommend anyone do business there.

First you get a shared line between VW, Acura and another I forget. You then have to tell them what dealer. Then you get transferred to that place. Then you have to enter where you need. Sales. Then you get a receptionist or someone in the media department. They don't seem to know or are sure who anybody is And ask for their extension that I don't Know. So the receptionist...Despite asking for a page, or no matter who I asked for, I kept being transferred to a voicemail identified by a 5 digit extension. No way to tell who this belonged to but lm first day. No response for second day, so called to ask sales manager Jason to inquire. Told the receptionist and clarified I did not want a vm. Several calls asking for my sales guy. Several for Jason. Same receptionist. Guess what I got. That's right. VMsin the abyss. No way to back out of non manned extension vm. So an exercise in frustration. System hangs up. Slipping biz practices In my opinion. Go to Greensboro acura people. These folks are in the anti sales department. You will be sorry you bought there. I wish Vic Flow was still on the switch. This never happened under his watch.

It was hard to start when cold and needed multiple crankings to stay running. Then ran unstable for about a minute, then it would even out and run good. It would run great after that and would start fine after it was warmed up. A bad fuel pump was the assumption. They ran tests and confirmed the fuel pump was bad and needed replacing. He also informed me it needed new spark plugs, spark plug wires, brake master cylinder and brake booster. I told him the spark plugs had just been replaced a month before, but he insisted only a specific brand of plug would bring my car to its factory setting. I agreed to all the repairs since I wanted the car to be running as good as possible. The 1st fuel pump that he put on was DOA and would not work. A 2nd pump was ordered and installed. This took a couple weeks. Picked the car up and the original problem was still going on, but a little improved. He recommended replacing all fuel injectors and doing a fuel system cleanout to further address the problem. I agreed wanting the problem fixed completely. After these 2 repairs were made, I picked the car up and drove off. After driving for 20 minutes, the car went dead and would not start up easily. It ran unstable and seemed to be flooded. I got it back to GT Imports within an hour of picking it up. They checked it out and found the new injectors were malfunctioning feeding too much fuel. So they were replaced again and charged me a 2nd time! I have over $4000.00 invested in the car thru GT Imports. The car is still running poorly after all this work and they have now diagnosed something completely new. I will take my car to a new garage for repairs.

You choose your date, time and whether you are dropping off or waiting. When we pulled up, a very nice gentleman immediately greeted us, circled the car to verify its condition and took us inside. We were introduced to Lonnie, our Service Advisor. He was extremely nice, saw our low mileage and suggested we would be fine with one oil change a year. Wait. What?! A DEALERSHIP service department that SAVES you money? That is a new and wonderful experience for us. We went on our lunch date very happy. The app gives you updates on your appointment and Lonnie called us when it was ready. We picked it up, no bad surprises and he even applied a coupon for me! I got all 3 services, parts and labor, for less than $75.00. Not a typo. I was happy with Flow Subaru when we bought the car and now this excellent service is icing on the cake!
