He brought our drinks and food out very quickly though. The restaurant is still inviting and clean with plenty of seating inside, the patio and at their bar area. We ordered cappuccino, chicken fried chicken with eggs and tried the pistachio croissant. Th chicken was crispy and flavorful, the eggs were cooked to a perfect over-medium, the croissant was heated up a little too much so it was very hot but after it cooled it was flaky and buttery. Since that visit we went back a couple other times for lunch and they stayed consistent, which is really hard to find nowadays. Definitely recommend if you're in the Ruidoso area.

The bubbly is served in individual mini bottles of quality prosecco, and you can decide on how much FRESH OJ you would like. Yes, I suggest indulging in the fresh squeezed OJ. They have an extensive menu of sweet (crepes, waffles, pancakes) and savory choices for breakfast and lunch. However, I decided on the Carne Adovado (slow cooked pork) breakfast. The portion size was perfect and not excessive like most breakfast spots. Everything was tasty and made me feel satisfied. Those red chile flavors had all the nuances for a breakfast party in my mouth. The potatoes were nicely prepared and free of the extra grease like the other breakfast spots. Was told I was the 2nd name behind an 11 top, and should be able to be seated in 5 min due to a few tables just waiting to be cleared upstairs. 20 mins later I watched them clear a 6 top at the front door downstairs, then split it so they could seat two tables of 4 who had shown up after my family. After waiting another 10 min I asked about how long we were looking at, the woman at the door told me she would go upstairs and check on the table, she returned to inform me that I was now looking at probably 20 min before we could be seated. We left... I don't know if the elderly woman working as a hostess at the door is an owner, a wife, family friend, or simply a pity hire due to her old age, but she has no business working customer service at a restaurant. She lied to me and several other groups about wait times, and seating availability only to double down several times about how soon we will be seated. She obviously has zero idea about how food service works, customer service relations, or kitchen service/food service times. Side note: an obviously drunk group of six made their way in during my wait, the bartender had no issue serving them, fingers crossed they weren't driving home, but I doubt anyone is that lucky.
