They were out of lettuce that was ready for my side salad but I didn't really miss it. Poor server had to tell me and it wasn't his fault. He handled it well. Two Cobb salads, two patty melts, green chile stew, one double bueno and two green chile wontons. Everyone enjoyed the meal. At the bottom of the bill it states the suggested tip amounts are based on the total INCLUDING sales tax. This is unacceptable. Probably would visit again but will not tip on sales tax. read more

The atmosphere is nice, there's pool tables and plenty of TVs throughout for your entertainment. The food is good, I had the chopped steak with mashed potatoes and it was satisfying. My husband enjoyed his salad, it was nice and fresh. My daughter had the kids burger and it was quite tasty. Their Green Chile Stew is one of my favorite food items here, it's has a bit of a kick to it but it's so flavorful! The posole is also very tasty and just like the green Chile stew, it packs a punch. If you like spicy food, those two are good options. This place has Applebees/Chilis vibes but with a lot more beer selections and cocktails. The service has always been friendly, on days when it's packed you will have to practice a little more patience but it's never a ridiculous wait. There's plenty of parking, outdoor sitting, clean bathrooms and TouchTunes in the event you feel like playing some music. Me and my sister went to Farley's a couple weeks ago when we were on vacation in Ruidoso. I have to say it's improved a lot since last year. I got the hamburger with fries but my complaint last year was they were very stingy with the fries there weren't that many at all. This year there were so many on my plate, I couldn't finish them all. The burger is always delicious and cooked to perfection. You can tell by the taste they use a high grade of beef. The service was great, very attentive and friendly. The ambiance is casual. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a pool table. The next time we are in Ruidoso which is usually once a year in May we will be coming back to Farley's. read more

The sitting arrangements are a balance of sports bar, but after redecorating it's open air like a family Restsurant. In their redecorating they changed the menu. Hamburgers are still the best in town, quality beef and cooked to order. The rack of Ribs is the best in town, pork of ribs. The full rack is the best ribs in the county. Count them 8 ribs to the rack. The sides are great. Only negative was that the side of salad looked more like an appetizer bowl. Service was impeccable. Very attentive to any question or concern you might raise. My last assessment of Farleys was scored a 3 star. They earned a 5 star on this visit, three yesrs after the former visit. read more

The atmosphere was inviting and the service was quick but to be fair, we were there between seasons and none of the restaurants we went to were very busy that week. My husband and I both ordered the Reuben and onion rings and were very pleased with our food. We are always hesitant to order onion rings as we frequently get obviously frozen ones so we were especially pleased by their thin crispy ones. Been eating at this place for years now, and I have to say this has been the worst experience. The food is great and waitress was exceptional! So here is the kicker, as years before they do not do reservations so you put your name on the list and they call, everyone knows the drill. My family and I vacationed to ruidoso and decided to have lunch at farleys, to be fair there were 12 of us and 2 baby's, they told us the wait would be 45 min which we were fine with as we were a big group. Halfway through our wait a big table of about the same number left, another 25 minutes later and the table had not been bussed, and all the hosts and waiters were standing at the hostes stand chit chatting. My husband asked me if this was really happening, which they heard him say so they started to slowly bus the table. An hour later and we still had not been seated or let know when that would happen. Farleys in Ruidoso is a million times better than the one in Roswell. Don't ever go to the one in Roswell NM. Ruidoso Farley's is always a pleasure to eat at. We always have a good meal, and lately, a wonderful person named Samantha (Sam) always seems to help us. She has a wonderful smile, and never leaves my ice tea glass empty. I guessed when you spent the whole day on the slopes, went back to your cabin for a long nap, woke up wind burnt, and realized it's almost 830 ish pm, and most of the places in the area close at ten or already closed. So the only option is where all the cars are, meaning a long wait. If I can give no stars to this place, I would!! The hostess was friendly and put us on the waitlist. The manager said if we could find a seat at the bar, that might be faster. That is where our nightmare starts. We went up to the end of the bar and asked the bartender (name begins with J and see pic) if the empty seats by the bar were part of the bar, and she was rude. So I went up to another customer that had her things on a chair and asked to sit there, and she was nice about it. When I told the bartender that I got a seat, she didn't look too happy. She said I think you had way too much to drink. I was shocked, considering we drove around for almost an hour to find a spot. Besides her inaccurate assumptions and being very judgmental, I preferred to take my service elsewhere. She looked exhausted, and I think if you don't like your job, then find another one. Don't worry, we went to Anaheim Jack, where the service and bartender were excellent, and despite them closing in 50 min, they still let us order dinner and ask about our wind/sunburnt faces. Unsure why all the bad reviews? Came up from AZ to escape the heat & chill out. Came in & was greeted by a friendly staff. Got taken to our table by a nice young lady and was quickly served some drinks. Ordered a turkey sandwich w/ fries. Everything tasted great. Fresh and flavorful. Was better than average. This is a sports bar. It has pool tables, video games, lots of televisions and salty peanuts. If you like drinking a beer or two, eating some pub food, and watching a game or playing pool, this is the place for you. Just a warning, it can get quite loud in here. We waited 20 minutes for a pizza and cheeseburger. Too long. Food: I ordered the wood fired, El Chingon pizza, with green chile, sausage and pepperoni. The crust was a bit burnt, the green chile seemed tired and had NO bite,and the sausage and pepperoni pieces were tiny. Drinks: beer prices weren't bad, $5 for 16 ounces of Marble double white and $4 for 16 ounce Budlight. Pool: we played pool for 1 hour and paid $6. Not too bad. As we returned from waiting much longer than anticipated from what the host originally stated due to her writing the incorrect phone number we were seated at an inside booth. Our main server was sweet. The food came out with what seemed 'servers in training' as they didn't know which entry went to whom. Waited for a good minute before I had to get up and retrieve mustard and ketchup (an American staple with American food like a burger and fries).
