I'd thought they were closed....For the past THREE Years!?! So I drove around to the back to see if the restaurant had burned down, or WHAT? They'd forgotten to turn the "OPEN" sign on! Seriously! I advised illuminating the neon, and they quickly complied, leaving me wondering, How many $$$ they'd missed during the past 3 years!? Bottom line: Nothing has changed! I first thought it was closed when I went in for breakfast. No one was there. I had to yell to the back to see if anyone was there. One employee came out and seemed annoyed. She took my order and it took thirty minutes to get my breakfast. The green chili was from a can and the red chili tasted like it was a powdered chili. Our first visit to Lincoln County Grill and our last. This was a horrible and disappointing visit. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (CFS). The meat was overcooked so we sent both back and the replacements were a shoemakers dream. Tough as leather. Could barely cut with a knife. Stay clear of this place. read more

Not the best place for breakfast but it wasn't busy so we decided to take a chance. Toast was stale. Eggs were not as ordered but they were still good eggs, yolk wise. Coffee was ok. Nice deck to dine outside, and not a whole lot of room inside. The price is right though and the food is plentiful. Maybe their other meals are better. We tried their BBQ brisket to go - before we had eaten breakfast (I know, big mistake) and it was ok. It came with mashed potatoes and cream gravy, green beans. We wanted to get a dinner to eat at home, cheap. We probably should have shopped at WalMart, which is what we did last night, to buy a can of soup and a Caesar salad. read more

We travel in our camper all around the New mexico Arizona and Colorado area with our boy Ted. Ted is a poodle shitzu mutt and is currently 6 years old. While traveling with Ted we automatically know that we can't go to alot of places and we agree that he's worth the concessions. We do however always check for DOG FRIENDLY patio restaurants that we can enjoy a meal and or drink at. Usually, we strike out and eat in the truck! Any dog lovers empathize? Lincoln County grill surprised us with a small dog patio with 4 covered picnic tables and even had a bowl of water for the furry customers! We got to enjoy a cheeseburger meal with a beer while Ted relaxed under our table. Besides the dog patio, the fries stole the prize here. Crispy and delicious. If you're traveling with a fur kid , you can stop here for a bite and beer. read more

The food was prompt and seating ample. However the food was not good and very disappointing. I ordered the bbq plate and my wife got a chicken quesadilla. Hers was fine but my plate wasn't good. The bbq was about eight oz and tasted canned. The sausage links were literally two beanie weenie sized slices. It came with beans that were not seasoned well and a very small scoop of slaw. They had other items that may be just fine but stay away from the bbq. read more

They have a raised patio in the trees! Really good breakfast and a great atmosphere. Fantastic views of the downtown area in Ruidoso. Lots of choices on the menu for food. read more

Yummy yummy bite to eat! We ate here twice during lunch on our trip! We partially ate here because we did have a big husky with us and they offered patio sitting! It was honestly a plus! We were able to eat in the beautiful weather. As far as food goes, everything we tried was delicious. Aside from our pictures, we also tried the seafood platter and jack burger - both were fantastic! Fluffiest pancakes ever!! Crispy exterior made them even more addicting. Food portions made every penny count. Breakfast potatoes alongside the eggs were the perfect couple for an unforgettable breakfast experience. Patio area with beautiful mountain view created a highly recommended go to place for breakfast. Also had French toast but would totally recommend the dreamy pancakes. Awful customer service!! Lady taking our order had sunglasses on and was extremely rude. I let her know my daughter had a food allergy and she was dismissive and rude about it. Came in for lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant layout is a little odd. Diners need to bypass the main dining area to order food at the counter. Then, they seat themselves. I shared catfish with my son and ordered a side salad with ranch. The catfish was good as were the hush puppies. The slaw had a strange yellowish hue to it and the cocktail sauce was gelatinized. Side salad was a perfect size although the ranch was one of the less desirable bottled ranches I've had and looked almost like cream gravy? Customer service was so so. Food was just okay. Unfortunately, a server in the kitchen licked her fingers while preparing a plate that was going out to customers. She grabbed the cornbread after licking her fingers. She did this in front of us as we were about to order. Needless to say we turned around and left. read more

Covid 19 measures in place Masks and gloves during preparation You could go inside to order but had to wait outside for your food. Mexican food average enchiladas with rice and beans. Beans were plain and unseasoned Taco salad was very basic as well not much lettuce or cheese. The deserts were very dry and stale. We got an Apple pie and a chocolate bust cake not much flavor at all. We were very hungry and tried this place more than once to give them a chance. We had never been here before. We walk in and its a place where you order at the counter. I'm wearing an Army Veteran hoodie and Veteran cap. We walk up to the counter and theres a lady mopping. She is walking backwards while mopping and wearing headphones so doesn't hear or see me. She hits me with the back of the mop handle in the groin and when I reacted and winced she took her headphones off and said, "I must have not have hit you that hard or at all because I didnt feel it". I was like what in the world. She then puts her headphones back on and keeps mopping and this time mops all over my girlfriend's shoes. It took every bit of restraint to not go off on her. We walked out without eating. Not sure if this place's food is good or not, but their customer service is absolutely horrendous. They must hate military vets or something.
