The line goes fairly quickly though. Inside, there's baked goods, whole bean coffee, some souvenirs and other little trinkets to buy like cute, signs, mugs and more! The seating is very casual, and the service is quick and attentive. They have great mimosas also if you're looking for a boozy brunch. The bubbly is served in individual mini bottles of quality prosecco, and you can decide on how much FRESH OJ you would like. Yes, I suggest indulging in the fresh squeezed OJ. They have an extensive menu of sweet (crepes, waffles, pancakes) and savory choices for breakfast and lunch. However, I decided on the Carne Adovado (slow cooked pork) breakfast. The portion size was perfect and not excessive like most breakfast spots. Everything was tasty and made me feel satisfied. Those red chile flavors had all the nuances for a breakfast party in my mouth. The potatoes were nicely prepared and free of the extra grease like the other breakfast spots. This is a great little bakery, shop, cafe, all in one right off the main drag in Ruidoso. Came highly recommend by 2 friends of ours in Texas. I see why. We came in ona. Sunday at 930am and had 0 wait time. Orders at the counter and got seated. Our plates came out in about 15 minutes. I got the green chili cheddar club sandwich (minus mayo) with a side of their house tomato basil soup. Both were absolutely delicious. I'd get this again for sure. My 10 year old son got the eggs and bacon with diced potatoes and a house baked biscuit. He ate almost all of it. My wife got the sausage and blueberry pancakes. She said they were good but not great, needed more blueberries inside them. Our server was very kind and tentative. The manager came over to check on us as did one of the cooks as well. I was very glad I did, coffee was excellent...the breakfast sandy didn't make the picture as ate it so fast but was buttery & delicious made just right. The Reuben is one of the best in the state that I've had so far & I try Reuben almost every chance I get...good meat to sour kraut to thousand island ratio plus good flavor in each layer...made my breakfast & lunch very enjoyable! This time excellent service and breakfast was ruined when the guest i brought found a huge greenish yellow yuck attached to their silverware which was carefully wrapped in a napkin. This meant not only was the dishwasher not doing their job, but also whoever wrapped the silverware was blind. Stopped by for a to-go order before we go snow tubing. Order took 30 minutes, I get it they're busy, no problem there. The owner was walking around, really nice guy, super friendly. The problem was with the food. The potatoes appeared to be bag frozen cubed potatoes with no flavor, the pancakes had minimal additions, probably less than 10 blueberries, each order with a "side of bacon" had one rubbery strip. The "kids smiley face pancake" is just a normal plain pancake with a chocolate syrup, and they forgot that so I had to go back in. Overall, the employees are nice, it's a busy establishment, but for $60 the food was pretty bad, I ended up not eating my breakfast because the overall experience was pretty poor. I should have just taken the extra minute to microwave some pancakes and bacon at home. read more

I had the almond chicken salad on a croissant. Let's of diced chicken, cranberries, and almonds. With a side of delicious green chili potato soup. A cascade of unfortunate events. I ordered "sides". 2 eggs over medium. One biscuit. And a side of gravy. Water and a latte. A LARGE cup of ice with water arrived. I felt guilty sending it back for no ice... then, two eggs and a plate of open faced (2) biscuits with gravy all over them. Sent the biscuit plate back for what I ordered. While waiting I looked at my two over eggs. One was over one was cooked well ( I am a yolk fan). When the biscuit and gravy side arrived I pointed the eggs out. And just wanted to eat. The eggs (aside from the Missing yolk) were fine. The biscuit was dry and hard to cut even with a knife. The gravy was pasty and maybe peppered. Not sausage gravy. I'm sad to say it was not a great meal. My server Natasha was excellent. The poor girl had to adjust the check first for the biscuit debacle then she took off one egg. Very patient. I enjoyed the country atmosphere and the coffee was hot and rich. It's a sincere business and they did all they could to make it right. Such a sad review to post... this was always a favorite of ours over the past decade, but it continues to go downhill. The food quality and service has definitely lacked more and more, but now, even our absolute favorite-- the cinnamon rolls-- have also crossed over. We asked for our usual, came home, and opened the box for our friends... dry, overcooked, hard, definitely not baked with intention as they used to be. I'm actually surprised they packaged these The blueberry muffins were also SO DRY... For high reviews at this place I have to say it did not meet my expectations, you stand in line to order then seated with a number to wait for the food, which took 25 minutes, by the time I got my omelet it was cool and so were the potatoes, which were nothing to rant about, we also ordered a hondoro omelet that was supposed to be smothered in green chili sauce, which was not!
