I asked her a question, and she answered, but didn't offer any further assistance and continued to stare. I ended up purchasing over $200 of merchandise (scrubs, compression stockings, and shoes). Today I returned and wasn't greeted by either of the two older female associates- one (grey hair in ponytail) turned around and looked at me then turned back to the customer she was helping. The other one came to the register area and stared me down while I looked through the compression hose. The final straw for me was when another customer entered and was pleasantly greeted by the staring associate. I will take my business elsewhere. Adapt health sent me the wrong machine, a Resmed Airsense 10 instead of their new Airsense 11. They said it was not specified by the doctor but there is no place on the prescription form allowing the doctor to do so. They sent me an Airsense 10 since that was in stock. They told me they would not bill Medicare until I signed for the machine. I did NOT sign for the machine, but they billed Medicare anyway. They said it would take 30-90 days before a refund could be sent to Medicare. To get this rectified I called Medicare and my Medicare supplement company and AdaptHealth again. They then said they will order the right machine but I need to wait for the scheduling folks to call. What if my Airsense 10 did not work after having it for 6 years? This process has taken a month. If I had severe sleep apnea, it would be a major health risk. Their customer service keeps passing the buck as to what they can do and what another department needs to do. It is frustrating and annoying. They often talk over you. Next time I am going with another company.

I was told that the scooter was not in stock, but that they were expecting a shipment in a day or two and that the cost of the scooter would be met by my insurance because we had met our calendar year deductible. The owner offered to deliver the equipment for free as a kindness. Massaponex High School waited to enroll my daughter so she wouldn't be in pain. I informed the owner that it was imperative for us to get the scooter ASAP. He said we would be on the top of the list because it involves my child getting to school. I called 8/18/21 the owner said "still on back order", "we will call you immediately when it comes in". My daughter started school on 8/23/21 without the scooter, taking narcotics to deal with the pain, so she isn't behind academically. I called 8/27/21 and the owner states "oh we have a note that this was taking too long, so you went and purchased a scooter on your own" "but we do have one of you changed your mind." False. Single mom trying to pay the mortgage. I would have never made that call. I responded yes I'm coming now. I formed the owner at pick up that he should investigate who wrote the note. I explained that because of my financial circumstances I never would have made that call. The response from the owner was "it was me and to be fair the scooter has only been here for two days" My response was "you should have delivered it as promised two days ago then, because that would have been two less days, my daughter would have been in pain." I was then told there would be a $40 cash copy. Something doesn't seem right about the ethics/communication/billing of this business. I will follow up after I see the EOB from BCBS. I would find another equipment company if that is a viable option for you..

It doesn't happen often without a lot of stressful events and circumstances that get to you. I know we aren't always easy to work with, usually that is fear of the unknown driving that bus. I have met a lot of medical staff in my chronic illness years and the majority just try to do their job the best that they can with the tools and resources that they are given. I know that there are also just some bad staff out there and companies can't control that until they hear from their clients. I have no doubt that these guys would hear if someone needed someone to listen. They helped me overcome several challenges with my ileostomy and then helped me with a supply issue after I asked to be discharged because the insurance does not pay unless I was homebound and I am doing pretty well now thanks to the confidence they helped me find.
