Years ago, when they first opened, the Canton location was awsome. However, over the last few years, the service has declined (unprofessional, inexperienced, passive aggressiveness). The staff has changed and so has the quality of service. One employee talked about customer after he left (right in front of me) because he reported that his dog had pooped out in the parking lot. She smiled and said to him, "No worries. I'll get it." Then she talked about him after he left. The poop bags are not easily seen, unless you're familiar w/where they are located. He was a new customer and obviously didn't know they were out there. Totally unprofessional! I don't feel that they really watch the dogs and interact with them enough. The dogs are sort of just let out into a large area, w/one person watching from afar. They are quick to tell you that no cameras are available or the cameras are down. We pay more so that our dogs wouldn't have a "boarding/kennel at the vet office" experience. My dogs didn't seem happy at all. This newer younger crew is unskilled, unprofessional, and seem unhappy to be there (giving the business a bad name). I'll be searching for a place that offers what they advertise. read more

Was told my dog was rude. They were nice but it seemed like it was inexperienced teens/ young adults. I expressed that he was a puller on his leash which they said was fine and watching the one on one. They clearly didn't have any experience. The dogs only get put out for two hours at a time for play time There's so many dogs in there. They don't even look like they're having fun. It seems almost like a stressful situation for them. I'm bummed my dog wasn't a fit. But I would never want him to be somewhere is isn't loved and understood. read more

Our nervous dog quickly settled down and began wagging her tail! Lots of fun activities for the dogs, regular walks, etc. We will definitely use them again! read more

For the last year I have been dropping off my puppy here when having to work long days, or when I have needed boarding. The staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable, and they seem to make extra efforts to accommodate both me and my dog. My dog is always excited to arrive, and is both happy and worn out from playing. An easy 5 star rating!! read more

I do not have enough wonderful things to say about this place. My labradoodle has stayed here a few times during family vacations . She also has went to daycare a few times to let her run her energy out when our yard is too wet. They are such kind people! I am happy to leave Maggie there. They are a little pricey but they take excellent care of your pooch. I love that I have webcam access to her to keep an eye on her when Im away. On a recent trip away, they caught that Maggie had a UTI. They took excellent care of her. They took her to the vet, called us, emailed us, and did everything we could have asked for. Im really happy we have a safe place for our dog to go to :) read more

My dog loves this place. He attends daycare regularly as we work long hours and he always comes home happy and tired. You can really tell that the workers love the dogs and the dogs like them as well. My only gripe about this place, and the thing making it a 4-star instead of 5-star, is their scheduling. I have booked full weeks of daycare before only to be told weeks later "oops he can't come Friday because we see all booked up with boarding". It seems that since boarding costs more, your daycare reservation can be bumped for the more profitable client. This has happened a couple times to us, and once it was fixed, the other it was not. I expect a business to honor their reservation and not drop me for someone else that will pay more. All-in, I would highly recommend this place. Just make sure you have your dates/reservations verified, as it seems they can change. read more

At first I thought that they were taking care of my dog. (Bubba) The past 2 times I got Bubba back home after a multiple night stay with them we have needed a vet visit due to a sickness. He has what I believe is kennel caugh this time. We will be hopeful heading to the vet today. Last time he had diarrhea for 3 days and needed medication and a vet visit. They are obviously not doing something correctly. I wish I could suggest them. read more

We have loved All American Pet Resort in Canton since they opened. I love that my dogs are excited to go in and look happy and well when I pick them up. I feel that they are safe here and I'm not worried that they're going to "get out" staying with someone at our home or at someone else's home. I appreciate that they can get their grooming done while they are there, whether just playing at daycare or when boarding for a longer time. This was my first time leaving my dog (Phoebe) with anyone other than family. Our folks were out of town for the holidays and we had no choice but to board her. I was EXTREMELY anxious about this. My pets are my children, and I was in hives at the thought of leaving her. Fortunately, I had nothing to worry about. I was able to watch Phoebe on the live webcams during my entire vacation. My travel companions were getting a bit irritated at just how much I was watching these cameras. I would randomly shout "look, there's Phoebe!" on Chicago public transit. They were embarrassed, I'm sure. But it was important to me that I knew I could see her whenever I wanted to, and being able to watch her put my mind at ease. I could tell right from the get go that the staff truly cared about Phoebe and her well-being. They were friendly and welcoming and treated Phoebe like she was one of their own. She got plenty of play time and was able to frolic with other dogs for hours. When we picked her up, they were watching a Christmas dog movie on television. It was super cute. She even got a bath! The personalized "report card" at the end of our stay was great. I was so happy to see that Phoebe did well and that she made so many new friends. I will DEFINITELY take my dog here in the future. Took my dog last year for 10 days. was told he peed or marked locations. And he would play with the ball I provided. when I picked him up he was bathed and washed. they told me he didn't like to be brushed. this year I attempted to make a reservation again for 10 days. They called me back and said he had peed on the staff and was too aggressive. they were able to bathe him and I was never told of his bad behavior till this year. They don't like dogs that have anxiety I was told. He was dropped off for a temperment test too for a day Prior and was told he was good. I don't get it to tell someone 1 year later. They only want dogs that don't present Any possibility of problem I guess. Don't count on them.. read more

I called five times over the course of three days to try and get information and possibly book a stay for my 3 dogs while I was on vacation. Nobody answered any of my calls, even though I left a detailed voicemail. I decided to stop by and when I walked into the lobby, the employee with short hair was very rude to me. I mentioned that I was trying to get ahold of them for a week and she ignored my comment and was clearly rushing to push me out of the lobby. It is very frustrating that after all the phone calls I had to show up in person just to be brushed aside. They obviously did not care for my business and I will not be recommending them to anyone. read more

I am pleased to say we are happy with the services. Our puppy Luna is practically our child and I had anxiety about leaving her with someone else as well as having anxiety that she may play too rough with other dogs at day care. I was super happy to read the comments on her report card and that she is making new friends. Every time she goes outside to go potty, she goes straight to the car thinking she is going back to day care. LoL! I love it. Yesterday was her second day at day care and she must of wore herself out playing with her new friends because she came home and kept wanting to go back out. Next thing we know, my boyfriend went to check on her and she was knocked out by the front door not only 15 minutes after they got home. Thank you for taking good care of our Luna! read more

I'm new in town and investigated where to groom and board my dog. I choose All American because it appeared clean, staff seemed friendly, and location was convenient. Had a trip 3 weeks into my relocation, so needed to feel comfortable leaving my precious pet. After returning from my long int'l flight, I was tired but anxious to pick my dog up at a prescheduled after hours time (7:30pm, not too late). It seems the day crew didn't prepare the required paperwork, so the night crew would not release my dog to me. I was rather upset, but went home since there was nothing I could do. I came back the next day, not too early (noon) and my dog was filthy. Even though I had been charged for the shampooing I had previously scheduled, it was obvious that he was not washed. I asked to speak to the manager since the girl at the desk could not give me a straight answer. She claimed that Amy was not in today and that she would leave her a message to call me tomorrow. BTW, I also realized shortly after picking him up that he was dehydrated. Anyway, Amy never called me. I called again two days later and left another message for Amy to call me. Again, she has not returned the call. Needless to say, I will never bring my dog here again. A yelp review was my only recourse since their customer service after the fact seems as bad as their lack of service promised when I left my pet in their care. read more

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT. I had taken my 1-year-old Yellow Lab here for 4 month. I had never received any Negative feedback. In fact when I asked they said " He's sweet, no problems" and then one day they told me that my dog was not welcome. I tried to address it with management and they blew me off. We brought our dogs here for a weekend after I read positive reviews and read that the facility was equipped with webcams where I'd be able to check in and keep an eye on our dogs here and there. In fairness, I will say the cameras are important to me - we recently moved to Michigan from the East Coast and the facility we used in the past had excellent cameras where you could peek in your dog's individual area anytime. The cameras here are a very poor quality. Not only does the website only support a very low video quality, the angle shows all the dog 'suites' from above, so it's very tough to make out which dogs you're looking at. You end up looking and thinking, "Oh there's a black and white blob," I think that might be my little guy... Needless to say, the cameras are of very little reassurance. Because both our dogs get nervous in new environments (we've boarded them only a handful of times in their lives), we called AAPR Canton to check in on them to make sure all was well. When we called on Saturday morning, there was no answer. A couple hours later, my husband tried again - still, no answer. No voicemail, no answering machine - nothing. Later that evening, we looked at the cameras, and were unable to spot even a distinct flash of what might be one of our dogs. It appeared that the 'suite' we thought we saw them in earlier was now totally empty, just covered in towels. This made me nervous, so I attempted to call the facility again - guess what? No answer. We continued to look at the cameras and did not see the dogs. Because we couldn't see them NOR could we reach anyone at the facility after trying three times in one day, we both felt totally unsettled. We ended up waking up at 5:30 AM the next morning to drive back from Chicago, because we were so anxious to get the dogs and make sure they were OK. I think it's unacceptable that we weren't able to reach anyone at the facility to check on the dogs. Maybe the cameras aren't a big deal to others - I'll admit we're really into our dogs and like to see that they're safe and comfortable - but the low quality + the near-impossible-to-see angles + lack of responsiveness did not give us a high degree of confidence that we could relax and know the dogs are doing OK. And for no one to answer the phones? Terrible. In fairness to AAPR, the staff was friendly upon check-in and check-out, and the dogs were thankfully fine, but all-in-all, I wouldn't bring my dogs back. I'm not saying this place is bad, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has an expectation of checking in on their dog. It might work well for people who aren't quite as attached to their pets and have little-to-no interest in looking in on them while they're away. read more

This was our first experience using this kennel and unfortunately it didn't go very well. Within a couple of days of picking up our dog, it became apparent that he had very bad kennel cough. He also had bumps all over his back that almost resembled bug bites. Our vet said it was a really bad skin irritation along with terribly dry skin. Our dog was a lethargic mess. Not himself at all. We had to spend $150 to get our dog treated following his stay here. I called and informed a staff member of the issue and was told a manager would call me back. This was back on July 7th. We called a second time on July 13th and to this date no one has ever contacted us back. It isn't surprising though. I actually had to stop by in person to schedule my reservation as no ever returned the message I left on the voicemail for that either. Maybe that should have been a sign to me. read more

ZERO STARS!!! We have been using this dog daycare & boarding facility ever since we got our fur baby! Unfortunately, as time has gone on and they have acquired new staff it has been nothing short of disaster here at AAPR Canton. The new staff is very unorganized, does not know what's going on and watching via webcams seem very angry and short-tempered with dogs with high energy. It is also very hard when the turn over is so high for the dogs and workers to build a relationship and for the workers to know each dogs personality. During the times we have boarded here, we have come back to pick up our pup without receiving any of her things until days later because no one knows where it is- which leads me to question if my pup even got to play with the toys we packed and if she received the proper food. Also during a boarding stay, we got charged for a bath which we did not give our permission for but had to pay anyways. My fur baby is harmless but very high energy and after countless boardings and daycare we were told our dog cannot play anymore because she is "too much work". My pup did not harm anyone or any dog. Let me remind you every time I check the webcam there are many dogs wrestling or chasing one another as my dog does as well, it is called playing. Unfortunately, if your dog does not have "show dog" standard behavior then I am sure they will ultimately tell you your dog is just too much work. Thanks for the time but we will definitely take our business elsewhere since this facility does not care one bit about their customer's and their loyalty. read more

This pet resort is top notch. Every little detail you could ever imagine and then some has been has been paid attention to. From the welcoming lobby with the beautiful mural, complimentary bottled water, and the ever so entertaining peekaboo window into the suite area... When I had my pup here for the first time while I was out of the country, naturally I was nervous, this is my baby you know.. A webcam was made available for a slight extra charge. At any time of the day or night, I was able to simply peek at my pup via an app on my phone. There is also an overhead camera you can access at no charge, but the viewing isn't as good as the private webcam. Many overnight resorts do not have an attendant on site, that's not the case here. All American is staffed 24-7. The dogs have comfortable private suites in which they can rest in between schedules playtimes. They have an indoor and outdoor play area available - which can also be seen on the public webcam. I got such a kick out of seeing the dogs interact with each other. They group like dog groups/sizes together. They have tunnels to run thru and ramps to climb. If your little one needs extra attention, let the staff know, they'll oblige. Day care only is also available. The staff is most flexible in arranging after hours pick up, just communicate your needs ahead of time, and most likely it'll happen. I recently used them for day care only while I went to a funeral and they accommodated our needs. The people working here seem to really enjoy their jobs and working with dogs. I for sure will come here again and will recommend them in a heartbeat!! read more

Very disappointed my poor dog was in his cage for 10.5 hours out of 12 hours. This is not what I excepted, I'm glad they have cameras so I know NOT to return. My German Shepherd is not fixed and was told he was not able to play in group play which was not mentioned on their website. But they reassured me my dog would be tried by the end of the day because staff would be playing with him. They said large dogs play for 2 hours than rest for 1. Well NOT for unfixed dogs. So when I was at work I had to watch my poor dog be locked up in the cage watching all the other dogs get played with and not him. The staff was friendly but if your dog is not fixed DO NOT go here they will be in the cage most of the day. read more

Horrible customer service and terrible experience. My dog develop separation anxiety after boarding there while I was on vacation. When we pick him up and got home my 10 month had a bite on him and scratches. We called back and was told someone spoke to us. I quickly corrected her that they didn't. I made the mistake in thinking it was possible honest mistake and used them for daycare. Other weird things went on, but the best thing that happened is when they told me that my dog was not happy in playtime group any more and also did not like being put in the crates, (even though the previous week I was told all he does is sleep) so they can no longer Service my 1 year old dog. Any other time I always view my dog in group and he was fine and no one ever said there was any kind of problem because I ask how was he EVERYTIME I pick him up. Just so happened, the day some one or two person made that decision was the day when my husband was in the hospital, I had a funeral all that day so I did not view in group. It was on a Friday and I had no one to take him for a few days that next week that I already reserve for dog day care because I had to work. Alexa promised that she or the other supervisor would call with some suggestions. Of course NO ONE called but as I said it was the best thing. It has been 2 months now and I can tell the differences already. All of us are very happy at his new doggy daycare location and they know what happened and can"t understand why because my baby has been calm, happy and doing wonderful. read more

Took my 6 month old puppy for her first visit on 4-12-18. After doing a lot of research I decided on this location to take my dog to while I'm at work all day. When I went in for my initial consult with the manager Amy I asked if I had to bring my own food and was told NO that food would be provided. After my dog spent over 9 hours here I went to pick her u pro find that she was NEVER fed! I called the location multiple times leaving a number to finally just receive a call back from Amy who told me that it was basically my fault my dog was not fed because I did not request it. That most people do not want their dogs fed. I said I find that strange that my puppy is only 6 months old and eats 3 times a day per the vet. I am very distraught that my family member had to go through this horrible experience. I also asked who the owner was and what their contact info was and she said I could find it on their website. Really????!!!!!!!!! This is how you run a business!!!!!!!! Needless to say we will not be returning and hope to find a better place. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! We had a horrible experience. My dog was boarded for ten days at the Canton location while we were on vacation. Her usual boarders were full that week. I returned to a traumatized dog. When I picked her up I was informed that her eye was "running" a bit. It seemed okay but when I touched her head she yelped as if in pain. She continued yelping and crying anytime her head was touched or anyone made sudden movements near her. I watched her closely all night. She paced and would not settle. She barely slept. The next morning her eye was crusted shut. The vet confirmed pink eye. When I called back I was repeatedly told that her experience was good and that there were no notes about her eyes running in her chart. When I finally spoke to a manager I was informed that her eyes had been running for four days but that they thought it was from allergies. They didn't write it in her chart as the managers both knew about it. They have no explanation for the yelping and crying. It has been a week and my poor dog is still crying out, nervous and shaking. She paces and does not eat or sleep well. She never has had a problem at her previous boarders and I will never know what happened to her at aapr. I can't trust anything they say. I am furious with them but mostly sad for my poor dog. I can only hope with time, love and support that she will return to the loving,well-adjusted, happy dog she was prior to her stay at aapr Canton. read more

In reading the reviews, I noticed they fell on either end of the rating scale - either excellent or terrible. I just want to say that I had a very positive experience when I left my dog here. Some dogs do well at boarding facilities, and others do not. However, I just want to point out that I know of two recent incidents where friends left their beloved dogs with pet sitters, and in both instances the dogs escaped from the backyards and were hit by cars and died. Even if you feel your experience with AAPR was not positive, at least your dog was safe and healthy when you picked them up. As for the dog that had an eye infection, that could happen anytime - the staff did point it out to you, which shows they were attentive. If your dog does not do well here, he will not do well at any boarding facility or with a pet sitter. Just wanted to give my two cents worth as a very experienced dog owner. read more
