After driving 5 hours a few libations were needed, so ventured to the All American Pub--a short walk from where we were staying. The low room is easy to get to. The building is interesting, as you'll see it's a block of connects venues. There's plenty of things to do at AAP--basketball, pool, skeeball, or watch your game on one of the many TVs. We ordered nachos (not pictured) and a few drinks. I'm unsure if the bar and restaurant were simply busy or not, but we waited a while for our server to come back by for us to order drinks, and we even had to flag he down when she was at the table beside us and about to walk away. read more

Getting an uber last Sunday after the Panthers game was next to impossible so my friends and I decided to venture a little further out and ended up here at the AAP. The weather was so nice so we wanted to grab a table on the patio. At walk in there wasn't a hostess available at the door so we sought out an employee by the bar area and asked to be seated. After finding someone we were promtley seated on the patio but with only 2 menus for 4 people. She did apologize and said those were the only menus she had left. The music was SO LOUD. I mean it was absolutely blaring. We couldn't hear each other let alone the waitress taking our drink ordered. A group next to us had a dog and I felt so bad for it because it was noticeably uncomfortable with all the noise. Anyways, our drinks were delivered and the server came out with her tablet to take our orders. Not too long after someone else brought them out. We got 3 sets of wings and a Chicken Cesar wrap. One of the wing baskets came with no sauce on them. Naked wings with the buffalo sauce in a cup on the side. We had actually asked for extra sauce on side but it was apparently miscommunicated. The waitress was nowhere to be found. Actually, no staff was readily available. If you wanted something you had to get up and ask for it. We found someone and they offered to take them back to the kitchen and retoss the same wings in sauce. At this point they were cold so we asked for a fresh order. The Cesar wrap I ordered was super bland and although I did appreciate their shape/style the fries were cold. It also was missing sauce which probably added to the lack of flavor. The wings came with ranch so I just used that since it was already on the table After finishing our food our waitress had still not been back around so we had to go inside (again) and find her to pay. I've had some iffy experiences at All American. College gamedays I can typically expect the service to be very slow. However, we had Lydia for our server this time and she was INCREDIBLE!!! She was extremely communicative when the bar would get backed up that our drinks would take longer than normal but she promises she didn't forget about us. This has all the makings of a great bar but is definitely lacking. Arrived Friday around 7 and there weren't many people around. Service was awful and despite sitting directly at the bar we needed to flag a bartender down if we wanted something. One bartender kept disappearing and the other just kept walking past most of us at the bar. Neither of them knew what was on our tab and were asking us what all we had ordered when we tried to close out. Many others around us had the same issue. We had ordered nachos which took a long time to come out and were just okay. Chips were bland but thick enough that they didn't get soggy. There was a decent amount of meat though which was nice for the price. Overall, based on the service I probably wouldn't come back. read more

Chay is an awesome server who will greet anyone happily when they walk in. She has brought us too this bar multiple times now because of how great she is. She recognized us from last time and immediately came up to talk. Chay is an all around great server and person so if you come here ask for Chay. They also show most of the ufc fights and are a great bar for all sports. They change the tv to what you want if they have it! First time at the All American Pub. Went then on a Sunday for brunch. For anyone that has been there for brunch on Sunday knows what happens at the All American Pub. They host a Drag Show/brunch every Sunday. You purchase tickets in advance. You can go in after 11:30. Boy, We had a blast. Enjoyed the spectators as much as the entertainment. The MC of the day was fantastic. So funny! It's a once in a lifetime if you have never been to one and said you would never go or it's a great one if you like Drag Shows. Back to the All American Pub. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered; the mimosa the food, sides. They came out hot and the portions were nice. I will come here again during a regular day. The atmosphere of the pub/restaurant is a bit more homey than most. So I am down to coming back soon. Thanks for the great service as well! read more

On Saturday all American Pub hosted an outside event. We enjoyed the VIP treatment for the 2nd Annual Seltzer World Festival. There were various brands of Seltzer & Craft Beer offering unlimited samples of their summer refreshments. We stopped by so many booths and now we have several favorites. Overall it was the Margarita Seltzer for Me! The VIP lounge offered covered and tabletop seating and tacos by @hottacoclt which were delicious! Unlimited beverages and snacks, raffles & giveaways. The event had a live DJ playing the heavy Hip Hop and throwbacks! We couldn't help but join in the sing along! We even played a few games and joked a bit. We couldn't leave without having dessert and the famous @donutiloveu food truck happily delivered the chocolate covered delight! read more

I was with a group of 9 people. We walked up to the host stand at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. They told us we need to sit outside and order at the bar because they don't have any servers inside that can help us... oh well, it's not a big deal. It was only a big deal when we didn't get any service from the person at the outdoor bar for 20 minutes. We stood there for so long that she gave us an entire plastic cup of tequila for our wait. We ended up ordering online and after 30 minute of waiting (and asking the manager about our order) they tell us we can't order online. We are now an hour into our wait and decided to move inside because it has gotten cold and we got a waitress immediately after sitting down. So much for not having any any servers inside... We have now been charged twice for one order and have not received any food. 10/10 do NOT recommend this place. read more

First time at All American Pub. Expected a big crowd as this place is located less than a mile from Panthers Stadium. We arrived fairly early, about 11am. The place is great for sports junkies, there isn't a bad seat in the house if you want to watch sports. We settled on a 2-Top in the bar area. Megan was our server and she did a fantastic job! I went with the triple decker club and curly fries. The sandwich was great- plentiful meats and cheese. The curly fries were hot and well seasoned. The beers were cold and Megan constantly checked in on us. As the clock ticked closer to 1pm kickoff the place got super busy with a great mix of fans. We were there until halftime, so several hours. We never felt rushed or left unattended. Overall great pregame experience! Will be Visited again last Sunday (4/21/19) another good visit. Patio seating was nice! read more

This place just gets one star because there was no wait, compared to the surrounding places. I came on a Saturday night to watch the ufc fight, ordered an overpriced Buffalo chicken quesadilla which sucked. I could literally make that shit at home. My boyfriend ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich, that looked delicious and he said it tasted great. We both ordered mules which were ok, but the plastic cup it came in was very tiny compared to their mule glasses that they ran out of. We went to watch a basketball game on a popular Saturday. Since we do not live in the area, I can only speak to this particular outing. This restaurant was packed on this evening. Everyone was out watching this game. We put our names in to get a table to eat. We grabbed a drink at the bar an just snagged a table to stand by until our table was ready. Before I get into the actually review of the dining portion, there were a few drunk college kids just bumping into people and holding each other up.. it was hard to watch since the game started at 6pm. Now to the actual dining experience. We were seated and we waited 35-40 minutes with no one even stopping to get us drinks. We finally stopped someone to ask if someone was going to be our server and she said she would get someone. 10 minutes later our server comes over and she does apologize. I know there were a lot of people here but so many servers walked by us and no one even bothered to stop. We ordered immediately and the only person whose food was correct was me. The wings were all the wrong flavor. The wrap was pretty good and I would definitely get it again but I would wait awhile before I would come back here if we return to Charlotte. read more

It took us 20 mins to get someone to take our order, then another 20 to get our drinks. We decided to ask a waitress walking by to check on the status of our order she was thrown off by us asking her to go check. We ended up getting our appetizer and meal at the same time, which probably means they forgot about it. We are so disappointed in the service and will never be back there again. All American is a fun sports bar with yummy food and drinks. Just beware- this place can get packed for big football game days and can definitely get a little rowdy! However, if that is your scene, it is a fun place to be! I love their apps, especially the wings and the "fries, fries, fries:" a delectable assortment of curly fries, sweet potato fries, and seasoned fries. Yum! We finally called over another server which got right on it. The music was so loud, we couldn't even have a conversation. Someone spilled water on the floor (MAJOR Falling hazard). 4 waitresses saw it and kept walking. The food was okay. I would give it a 4-5 stars. It was the service that was so awful. Brought my mom here on her recent visit to try the food. She loves bar food and wanted to ride the light rail so this was the perfect spot. Very accessible in the South End off light rail station at Bland. Not sure if there is parking around there or not but I would imagine it would be tight. We waited at the front to be sat outside. I read a sign that said "Please see bartender for seating", so I walked over to the bar. Within that time, a group walked in behind us and a server came out of nowhere and sat them first outside. I just rolled my eyes. She then came back and said she didn't have any clean tables outside, but then found one. It was a sunny but chilly day but was nice on the patio. I ordered a mimosa and my mother ordered the bloody Mary. Both on special on Saturdays and Sundays. Drinks came out quick but she seemed rushed. We ordered the nachos (mom wanted them, reviews said they were awful), buffalo quesadilla, and chilly cheese fries. They were delivered by another server or busser not long after ordering. Y'all, reviews are right, the nachos are bad. You would think they would fix the recipe after all the negative reviews. Big chunks of chicken just thrown on, very little tasteless cheese, a few jalapenos, some tomatoes on top of semi stale chips with salsa and sour cream. Just ick.....The quesadilla was the best out of all 3 apps. You could taste the buffalo sauce and it was generously stuffed with chicken, cheese, and lettuce with salsa and sour cream. Cheese fries were almost as bad as the nachos, the chili made them a little better. Still barely covered with chili and tasteless cheese (it's like the stuff I used to get at the Dollar Tree in college, tastes literally like nothing.) Server took forever to get back to us after food was dropped off, although it didn't seem to be busy. We finally go a second round of drinks and had our fill. Waited another long while for the check. I know this place is hit or miss. I will still be back as they have good drink specials and its a convenient spot. But they do need to improve some service and food quality issues. The address of this place says a lot...Bland Street. We went for beer around 4 PM and sat on the patio. This seems to be a late night "bar" scene, or a dark place to watch a game on the many TVs, but during the day it is depressing. The "dining room" and patio smelled of stale cigarette smoke (yes, even outside). The music was loud and was a horrible mix for any time of day - seriously, we bounced non-stop from Kid Rock to Whitney Houston and the like. There was no one (hostess or otherwise) at the door, and one guy even walked away after no one greeted him, so we had to ask the only bartender where we could sit. The service was slow. We were so disappointed that we left after 1/2 a beer and went to a very nearby brewery. We won't return. read more

It's conveniently located right off the Bland Street station of the light rail. They appear to have good drink specials but overall my Wednesday night dinner there fell short. The music is so loud you have to yell at the person sitting next to you. The wait staff wasn't friendly or welcoming. It is probably a great place to catch a game because of all the Tvs but I wouldn't expect much as far as service goes. I tried the Mac Daddy burger which was very dry even though I had it cooked medium rare. It was a unique flavor combination with the Mac and cheese and fried jalapeños on top. They have some unique burgers on the menu but I doubt that I will ever be back to give them a try. read more

They have a great deck area overlooking the light rail tracks and sidewalk. I went for the burger, and my awesome server Hillary recommended tater tots and a Mimosa ($2 special). She brought my drink quickly, and when my food arrived, I was overwhelmed! I don't think I've seen a more appealing burger anywhere! Charred, cheese dripping off of it, and glorious crispy bacon piled on. Wow! And it was super tasty! One of the most reliable places to go watch sports they have enough TVs that you can be almost assured you will be able to watch what you want. The food has been inconsistent over the years and I was very sad to see the buffalo chicken dip go as it was my favorite menu item. Still the atmosphere here is great for sports fans especially on college football Saturdays and NFL Sundays. We found this place by complete accident. Thought we were in the Taco joint! Had a look at the menu and realized we were in the wrong place, but decided to stay. We went at an off time, so the place was pretty vacant. They have outside seating overlooking the light rail, so that's nice. Inside there are TVs everywhere, most with sports. Not my jam, but I realize it's a pub. I had the fish sandwich. The fish was large and perfectly cooked. Crispy and flaky. The fun was only toasted on one side, and cold on the other. I wish they'd have heated the bun. I had my fries loaded and the cheese sauce was plentiful, and creamy. I think I'd have preferred melted cheese, but it was still good. Service was perfect and everyone was very friendly. It was also clean and the temperature of the restaurant was just fine. read more
