Oh I was SO happy to discover All American Wontons moved close to my home! I first was introduced to All American Wontons because of the Yelp Elite event! Their shop is super cute and on a convenient location on Broadway in Massapequa. They have a few tables set up outside. We placed our order online which was super easy and the instructions state to call when you are on your way. I find that a great for customers and staff to communicate to one another so that there is no confusion when you get there. We balled out on our order ; We ordered buff chicken, mac and cheese, philly cheese steak, spinach and artichoke. I loved all of them but I think my favorite was the philly cheesesteak. Customer service was great. The staff member, I think her name was Angela, remembered me from the Yelp event. So happy for All American Wontons for having their own establishment! I wish them the best of luck and continued success.

Yes this is inside All American Wontons.

Now don't get confused. We're not talking about burgers, but we are gonna discuss a Massapequa spot with a very similar name to a classic fast food location. It's wonton action at All-American...but not the hamburger joint. I started a trip to this LI town just down the road from that meaty spot for a different reason than wontons. You see, I actually had no intention of trying All American Wontons. My entry into their tiny and relatively new storefront was to purchase cookies. Yes, you heard that right. AAW shares a portion of their interior with Chonky Cookies, another Massapequa-based business. These massive cookies are often stuffed with sweet treats (macaroons, peanut butter, etc.) making them a tad more unique than some. My girlfriend had tried one from her coworker and loved it so when I knew I was actually going to be stopping at All American (Hamburger) and this spot was right up the road, I figured why not get some cookies? After that whole explanation, we can get back to the wontons. Yeah, I could've just grabbed the cookies and bailed, but I had interest in trying out another local Long Island creation. Plus I missed out on the Yelp event for AAW way back when they were still calling Tri-County Flea Market their home base. Better yet, the list of wonton varieties sounded amazing. Bacon mac & cheese, Philly cheesesteak, jalapeño popper, and Buffalo chicken were just a few intriguing options. They were even rocking a Thanksgiving wonton. Now I've heard of everything! Here's where things go a little...sour. Unlike some small stuffed food items (empanadas for example), you have to buy six of these wontons and that'll cost you $10 for the bunch. Not too shabby if they're of decent size, though these guys are rather small, almost bite size, and honestly consist of more dough than internal ingredients. It also doesn't help that they're (probably) never served fresh. The guy who took my order popped open a freezer, went into a couple of bags, threw the frozen triangles onto a tray, placed them in a massive microwave-esque contraption (think Dunkin' Donuts or 7/11 when they heat up food) and finished off by sliding them into a Chinese food type container (I'll admit, that was cute.) AAW does sell their wontons in frozen bags for purchase which is definitely cool, but I suppose I wouldn't think all their wontons would be served in this manner. So all that might be true, but most importantly with any food item is the taste. I chose five different flavors (the aforementioned four with two jalapeño poppers plus a French onion variety) to get a good mix of choices. These were also shared between myself and most of my girlfriend's family. Again, they're tiny so we did our best to cut them up and try pieces of each. I have to say, they were pretty tasty. The flavors of each came through. Whether it was a Buffalo kick, jalapeño heat, steak taste, or oniony note, we could differentiate between each. I will say (like another recent review of mine about wings that had no labeling), we didn't know what any of them were until we cut into each. Also, I just have to throw it out there that the guy who helped me didn't offer any of the optional drizzles they promote. Perhaps it's because I had a mix of styles and I know I could've asked myself, but still, make the effort. A positive-ish note I can end on was there were actually 7 wontons (a third jalapeño popper) in the container. This might've been due to one wonton looking a little...overdone (it was pretty browned/burnt, but I can't say for sure that was the reason for the extra triangle. Overall, All American Wontons is creatively different and has some nice varieties and good flavors within their crispy pockets, though I'm having trouble vouching for the heating up process, ingredient to dough ratio, or bang for your buck. Would I try them again? It's definitely possible, but I could also see myself stopping in just for Chonky cookies and departing without any wontons. I mean, having that other All American not too far away might just be a little too enticing for me not to head in that direction instead. Time will tell.

Decent place. I went here after seeing an advertisement in Newsday offering a Super Bowl package. I placed my order on Friday and picked up on Sunday. Upon arrival there were 3 workers preparing orders for customers and 3 people ahead of me. I waited about 20 minutes before staff acknowledged me. After that I told them I'm picking up and have them my name. They lost my order! So I had to tell them what I wanted again. Luckily the wontons only take a few minutes to cook up so I waited an additional 5 minutes. The inside of the store was nice. Tiny but well organized. They have a freezer with a bunch of pre made packages of all the wontons they offer. They also sell cookies, sauces and drinks. The family was happy with the wontons as part of the super bowl spread. I like the dessert ones the best! FYI if you check in on Yelp you receive am additional 10% off your order ! Overall I was happy with my experience despite the long wait.

We bought from here 2x so far. The first time we had sampled all different wontons that were made to order. My favorite was the spinach and artichoke and the Thanksgiving one. We bought the frozen ones yesterday and baked them. We had bacon mac and cheese and spinach and artichoke. We enjoyed them as part of our NYE menu. Despite what another review said they were filled generously and weren't doughy at all both times. By the way, Groupon has a nice deal for $11 you can get $20 worth!

Crunchy and fried to order. The staff is friendly and the food truck looks clean. I ordered the 6/10 deal and was given the wrong flavors but it's okay. All the flavors were pretty good. The wontons i received were the Spinach artichoke, jalapeño popper, vegan nacho (rice, salsa, corn and vegan cheese) ,buffalo chicken and Bacon Mac and cheese. Jalapeño popper was my favorite out of the ones I tried and the bacon mac n cheese was my least favorite. The bacon Mac n cheese only had the essence of bacon and barely any macaroni. It's a filling treat with some good variety of flavors, I would definitely recommend trying them out.

You need to try All American Wontons. Period. If you haven't yet they are like your favorite Brooklyn comfort food, but located on Long Island!!!! Kelly makes over 50+ wonton flavors with 6-7 standard flavors that they always have! These wontons are the perfect balance of crispy and flaky that the whole family can enjoy. Along with the amazing food, the service is absolutely on point!! everyone in tri-county is beyond sweet and helpful! If you're going to check them out at Tricounty flea market, try these flavors: Buffalo Chicken, Jalapeno Popper, Broccoli cheddar, bac mac, and vegan nacho! They also do catering and sell frozen bags to take with you on to go!!! you can thank me later!

A mini food factory . I'm taking home a bag of frozen potatoe wontons. Angela is going to make me 3 fresh spinach wontons while I wait. Molly is filling wontons at one small counter, while Carrie is filling wontons to be frozen. My three wontons are taking what seems to be a long time to cook. No one is in a hurry including me so I enjoy learning about this mini wonton shop works. A mini sign states free wonton if we post on yelp. Angela is camera shy... I take a photo of the sign. The space is small and it is hard to get photos with no one in them. Tonight I am looking forward to my wontons which I will make with some fresh onions sauté with my wontons.

This restaurant is a find! They have taken a simple concept of a baked wonton, developed a large number of sweet and savory fillings, and opened a booth at a Levittown mall food court. Repeat visits are encouraged because the food is priced right, and there is a new, seasonally inspired selection of six wontons each day. The staff is friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic about the food they are serving.

    Truck

We had the wonton truck at our house for a party. It was such a big hit with all of our guests! The Philly cheese steak was a big favorite but everyone loved everything they got. The desert wontons were heavenly as well! They were so friendly and I highly recommend them for parties or even just to grab frozen wontons to make at home.

They also had eggplants on the vines. Which I was very interested in, but they were all shriveled... Sunflower field was pretty though. The workers here were friendly. Cold cider was good. Hot chocolate was way too sweet IMO, my kids didn't even want it. If you live on LI this place is convenient for you. Less than 20 mins drive - Since I was short on time I decided to come here for my annual pumpkin picking w my besties. However they were not thrilled . One friend had a 2 yr old and my other had a 3 yr old. They def felt it was too expensive of an admission for their kiddos. The ambiance was nice for pictures as they have pumpkins set up in the shape of hearts. Maybe when I'm rich like Rockefellar I'll be back. Don't tell Ralphie, shhhh! Yup! It exceeded my expectations. Keep in mind it's not in a visible spot, But finding it was half the fun. I want to thank Graham for being patient with me and my non social media self. I couldn't find a current menu because I only have Yelp. And he was kind enough to text me the menu. Awesome! Buuuuut I also popped his cherry! His Groupon cherry, that is. Hahaha! I was his first customer to use a Groupon. So the protocol was to call or text your order in advance and call when you get to the cone (yeah a cone, as in construction cone which you all know I live & breathe LOL) & he'll bring the food out to you. He called it a ghost kitchen. I thought he was referring to the Schmitt's farm haunted house & maze, but I was wrong. A ghost kitchen, he explained is a delivery-only restaurant. A food truck. Orders placed by phone are picked up by a delivery driver, or yourself and enjoyed off-premise. Now the food. Aaaaah the food. So FREAKIN' good! The shrimp w/ crispy potatoes didn't make it to Ruland Rd/Colonial Springs Rd. I was headed back home south of Sunrise Hwy. But those dayum shrimp with the lemon aioli were so good and the crispy potatoes with the sumac!? Channeling my native ancestry I've harvested wild sumac every year, it's getting harder to come by. But I digress. Even though I'm very familiar with sumac I've never used it on potatoes. I will now! Opened up a whole new taste profile for me. I love when that happens! Then I had the Grilled Flank Steak with Gorgonzola, Pickled Red Onion & Arugula. The steak was flavorful & tender. While the Gorgonzola enhanced the the steak without overpowering it and the crunch of the pickled onions & peppery arugula were perfect. I personally would've liked a little more steak but I won't quibble. And don't let me forget the fries. I'm not a big fry person but these were exceptional. Get 'em! But wait! I'm not done. I had to try the bread pudding. I mean how can I give a full review without all courses being tried? Crispy & creamy it was a great ending to a most delicious meal. Do it! In my opinion this is a spot worth travelling to. I don't say that about many places. But FNG gets my destination meal approval. I don't have FB, IG or any other social media but I do Yelp! So here ya go! Thanks for the awesome food Graham! 12-5-2020
