We purchased two pellet stoves from All Basics and used them for both bulk fuel and routine service for years. We were happy customers for a long time but the customer experience has slowly declined since company ownership transferred. The last straw for me was their halting of fuel deliveries. They never invested in modern pellet fuel transport with an attached pallet jack, so I imagine it was becoming a money losing enterprise for them with the status quo. My perspective as a pellet stove customer is that fuel delivery is an essential service for a dealer to offer. I transferred my fuel and routine service business to another local "full service" dealer. read more

Profoundly Disgusting! As an 18 year customer, on Oct. 3rd, I went to AB to purchase six bags of pellets. Upon entering the store, I was greeted immediately and nicely. Slowly I noticed that there were six AB employees in the lobby area near me, not one of these employees were wearing a mask. I will no longer be a customer of the shop. My suggestion is that you put a large sign on your door that states - 'our employees do not wear masks'. At least with a clear sign, potential customers will not be ambushed, have a few seconds to consider this fact and possibly leave before entering. This is the only business NH, MA, CT PA or VA that I have entered since Covid that does not require their employees to wear a mask. This is why I was so stunned and disgusted. read more

I would never use this company ever again. In 2021 we used them to sweep our chimney. Shortly after our chimney cap rattled during windy days & nights. We called them & was told they wouldn't come out until the Spring & our next sweep. When they arrived they dishonestly denied that they removed the cap the previous year & refused to resecure the cap. Furthermore the two workers, Max & David denied that they ever removed the cap. I requested, that they have the owner call me to resolve the issue. They obviously ignored our request and we never heard back from anyone at the company. They are dishonest, deceitful and disrespectful. I would never recommend this company!- read more

All Basics Stove Shop has been nothing but wonderful to us! We have two stoves (Quadrafire Mt Vernon insert and Quadrafire Castille) and have been happy with both. What I have been most impressed with is their customer service. Two weeks before our baby was due, we ran out of pellets. This year (2014) there was a shortage of wood pellets in the entire region. Although we had not purchased pellets from All Basics for a few years, they listened to our predicament and helped us out. We literally would not have had heat without their help! Two days after arriving home with our newborn, our Mt Vernon insert was not working (it's five years old). I called another service company who told me that it would be five days before they could come. With a newborn at home and the cold temperatures of March, waiting five days was less than ideal. When I spoke with All Basics, they offered to send someone out the same day. The owner himself came to our house to service the stove. All Basics is a wonderful stove shop and provides good customer service even years after the stoves were purchased. read more

Went to All Basics to buy a kamado grill. First off, I thought my car was big enough to fit the grill. I was mistaken. So the team at All Basics, helped remove from the box and fit the parts of the grill into my car - even taking the time to place cardboard against the walls of the car to ensure the car wouldn't get marked up. As I was leaving - I was given tips and tricks on how to use the grill. And then - the team see's that I didn't have charcoal or fire starters, so they provided that free of charge! I tried to tip them (was 90 degree's out) for all the help. And they refused. They just wanted me to enjoy the grill as much as they do. So I get home. Install the grill and when I go to place the stone heat deflector in and find out they were broken in during the move. Called up All Basics and sent a replacement as a priority shipment! Thank you! Never buy stove from a stove that does not have god service department. I never manage to get call back; waiting for service may take up to 30 days (not good idea in winter) I had them do the end winter stove clean up (I had to call a chimney cleaner to do follow up) They just do bad service. Do not expect get call back if you leave a message. No good idea to buy from them. Such a disappointment, how can you run a business like that? read more

I suggest to buy stove where you can get good after market service. Don't use the service dep for stove cleaning. You will find out they do not good job and in some application they end up creating a problem you did not have before they showed up. We just had our stove installed by All Basics. We shopped around and this was by far the best and most informative store we visited. The staff was awesome and very helpful. My stove wouldn't come on after sitting over the summer. I called the shop three different times to ask various questions. Not only did the staff answer them happily they made suggestions on what to check and walked me through them. They even tested my auger motor at no charge. They easily could have sold me a new one or come out to service the unit and charged me for what turned out to be a dirty vacuum hose. They also have great deals on pellets! We have been buying pellets from them for a few years and their customer service is top notch from recommending a comparative brand of pellets when the ones we wanted were out to doing a long overdue cleaning of our pellet stove. The tech placed a huge drop cloth on the floor first and made sure everything was spotless when he was done.-Very efficient and professional. Our insulation/ weatherization company is also family owned and I know how it important the little things are to customers. Forget the box stores and you will not regret connecting with All Basics. Had a great experience here getting a pellet stove insert. Staff helped talk me into a slightly less expensive model than I was originally looking at. Happy they did, as it better suits my needs and saved me a few bucks. They also helped walk me through all of the steps with detailed instructions so I could do the installation myself (saving me a lotta bucks!). 2 stars. All Basic staff is great. They really care and I have been a customer for over 15 years. Unfortunately, the Quadra Fire products they carry are not backed up by Quadra Fire. So buy your pellets at All Basic. ( Just don't buy a Quadra Fire Pellet stove if you want a truly guaranteed product) 3 months with a defective unit and QF has done nothing even though All Basic techs have determined that the stove is defective. read more

We had a terrible experience with this store and would never recommend them to anyone!!! My fiance and I were interested in a Quadrafire stove, and the woman helping us essentially just read everything right out of the magazine and didn't know anything beyond that. Thank god my fiance had already researched a lot and knew what model stove he wanted to get, as the staff would not have been any help!!! THEN, we placed our order and paid for the stove, was told the it would be delivered the following Tuesday. Come the following Thursday, I call the shop to confirm the stove had arrived as planned (and actually 2 days after it should have arrived). No, the stove did not arrive, and it was in fact on back order, and the absolute soonest possible date would be 2 weeks later. No one called to tell us this, and they had already cashed my check!! Completely unacceptable, especially as my fiance's family was traveling from NY to come help us hook up the stove. AWFUL customer service, and I had to demand a discount as we were forced to get a different model stove, they were certainly not forthcoming with offering that. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN!!
