I cannot be more grateful to All Brides New York. Ann is a wonderful makeup artist who is communicative, thorough, thoughtful and precise. I hired her one week before my wedding, which was during covid. She and I worked through what makeup and brushes to purchase (to be cautious bc sharing makeup during this time). While this is obviously pricey (I bought Charlotte Tilbury makeup for the day), I had peace of mind knowing it was safe and unused AND I got to add this gorgeous makeup to my collection, which I now use daily! Trial: She came to my apartment to do the trial and was extremely respectful wearing a mask and washing her hands. We did a 2 hour trial and talked about adjustments here and there to the eyes which I really appreciated. She listened to me and gave me exactly what I hoped for which was an amplified version of myself. Additionally, Ann and I chatted throughout and she is so personable, warm and charming. Day Of: She was also extremely flexible when it came to scheduling for the day of. She already had an appt at 11, and offered to come at 12:30pm but also provided an alternative of arriving at 8am. She explained that the earlier would be better so it didn't feel rushed (our ceremony was at 2pm) and that this would allow the makeup to settle a bit. She offered then to come back for touch ups. Ultimately I went with the earlier session which allowed the makeup to settle that morning as I was getting my hair done. She then came back at 12:30pm and did touch ups free of charge! Result: my makeup was magnificent. I'm not a vein narcissistic person but with Ann's makeup, I was truly a beautiful elegant bridal version of myself. My husband saw me come down the aisle and sobbed. He later told me he was blown away by how stunning I looked. I found Ann through Yelp when I was looking to work with a makeup artist who knew how to do makeup on asian brides. I have been to several friends/family's weddings in the past and had makeup artists who had no idea how to apply makeup on asian features. Some of you may know what I mean when I say that you can't use the same techniques of applying makeup (especially eyes!) on such different features, such as hooded/monolids versus deep-set/ double eye-lids. I reached out to Ann because she had such great reviews, and straight off the bat, she was responsive and super friendly. We met for a makeup trial months before the wedding and she was so sweet and open to hearing about how I wanted my bridal makeup. She got me right away and I was so excited to work with her from the start! On the wedding day, Ann was a dream to work with.
