Sonoma County Sunrooms sold me an expensive electric retractable awning. During a recent power…read moreoutage it became clear that the awning cannot be retracted manually because of the positioning of the awning. (there is a pole provided to wind in the awning in case of an outage, but the installer did not leave access room for use of the pole.) As a result, when the power goes out in high wind, the awning, motor and mount can be ripped off the house potentially causing significant damage. The company refuses to redress their botched installation, says there is nothing they can do about it, and offered only to come take a look if I'll pay for a service visit. Caveat emptor. Do business with Sonoma County Sunrooms at your risk.
