Steve did a great job. He painted the entire exterior of a 2500 sqare foot home. Very good quality neat and clean.

I had Steve paint my house over the last week and I am plenty dissatisfied with the way the working area was left. Towards the end of the job, Steve was trying to not complete tasks. I picked Allcity Painting because of the strong reviews on yelp. But, many of the comments did not reflect his work on my house. 1. On his request, I bought all the parts for the gutter so he would repair the broken areas. The last day if the job he stated that he is a painter and not a gutter repairman. I would need to call someone else. To be fair he ended up doing the work, but it took a lengthy discussion. He left the old parts all around my backyard. 2. I bought the under house vent covers and instead of painting them, as they should be...he stated the original bright white unpainted look would be better...he painted my house a dark earthy color. My assumption was his paint was already put away...and my assumption was correct, he forgot to do it. He brought the paint out and did it...again after a lengthy discussion. He left the old ones all around the outside of my house. 3. There was trash left in my planters, plants were trampled, and driveway was left filthy. He also broke a sprinkler head, which he came back and fixed (I'm assuming he was hoping I wouldn't notice.) 4. He removed vinyl lattice which he stated could not be painted so we decided not to have it put up. I'm pretty sure vinyl can be painted. But either way, he left propped up against the wall with the empty paint bucket he put the screws in. 5. He left a razor blade and a razor blade tool on my patio...I have 4 young girls and a dog. I'm glad I found those before they did. The paint job looks good...I hope it lasts. However, with the mentioned issues, I wouldn't refer Allcity Painting to friends or family. Background: ========== We hired Allcity painting because not only their price was competitive, but they also promised to do more -- clean the cabinets (ours can't be painted), make minor repairs on any dents in the walls, do caulking in floor corner linings etc. They also promised that the job will be excellent, that they don't nickle and dime on minor services. Also promised that the job would take about two days. At the time of painting our baby was 11 months and my wife was expecting again; we asked to leave one bedroom untouched unless another one is fully done so we have a shelter during the painting. Larry seemed quite professional, friendly and honest. Actual job: ======== The actual job turned out to be quite the opposite. On the first day of work, there were several workers who seem to diligently preparing for the job, covering the carpet to prevent any spills, moving furniture to the center of the rooms etc. However, a few hours later, most of the workers disappeared and during most of the afternoon only one guy was working at our place. This continued throughout the project -- most of the time there will only one person working. This caused delays and the project took one full extra day to complete. The repairs done to the walls -- ours is reasonably new home so very few were needed -- were very lousy. I could have done a much better job myself. The repairs were crooked and asymmetrical, and show quite prominently on the walls. The quality of paint job was quite lousy too. The fiber from the paint rollers can be seen at many places. Several walls have "dripping" pattern of the paint -- apparently too much paint was on the brush and it dripped along the wall before finally settling. Several places seem to have only one coating of the paint, which is so thin that the white drywall underneath can be seen. Caulking was not performed as promised. The molding at the bottom of the floor was not painted completely, and at places it was partially painted. Another major setback -- while we left our only room for a few minutes, the workers took it over -- contrary to their original promise -- while none of the other rooms were finished. My pregnant wife, my baby, and myself had to move to the balcony for the rest of the day. When the above problems were pointed out, the contractor was not very cooperative to say the least. Their attitude was quite the opposite of what they initially promised. Although they did rectify one or two minor issues, the majority of the issues -- and there were many -- were left out. Giving two stars out of the concern of the hard work that all workers do. However, the fact remains that the job was lousy and the painting company was far from delivering what they promised. read more

I was referred to All City Painting by my dad who had his house painted by them too. Steve the owner came out to my residence and gave a good price. He told me what the best option for my house was and what the process entailed. They were in constant communication up to the start date. On day of they showed up on time and began to work. House was washed down, sanded, scrapped, primed, and caulked. Steve went above and beyond. Paint came out awesome and some of my neighbors are going to use them too. Our community asked to have our house's wood trim painted. All City Painting's price was slightly higher BUT instead of just wood trims, they would paint the whole house and beat everyone else's prices. In our community there was a total of six houses that were painted by them. The houses looked like new and they finished and cleaned up everything very nicely. Everyone who looks like our house asks whom we hired to do the job and we gladly recommend All City Painting. The owners are Korean but they come out and help out with the painting, too, to make sure everything's done right. Thank you for the good job and help us save money, too. read more

I had heard great things about this company. But my experience was not too good unfortunately. A couple of weeks ago I had set an appointment for them to come out and do an estimate. They called that day needing to reschedule. I rescheduled and they came out. They looked at the work I needed and suggested I also replace a door frame. I said "let's do it" so they wrote up a quote. A few days later I called them back to schedule but I said that I did not see the doorframe written on the quote. They said that they had not included it on the quote and I would have to pay extra money if I wanted it done. I pointed out that it was their suggestion to do it and I agreed but they said that it would cost more. I then asked the lady who was helping me to please have her husband call me as he spoke better English during the estimate appointment and I wanted to make sure that there was no miscommunication. Two days later I called them back to ask how come I had not received a call and she was surprised that he had not returned it. I'm sure the quality of their work is great but I'm uncomfortable with a company cannot accurately give a quote, return calls, and keep appointments. read more

Saw Steve and his crew painting the exterior of the house across the street. After watching how meticulous and neat they worked, we had them paint our home. WOW! They power washed the house, sanded, scraped and repaired whatever was necessary. They also moved any dirt at the base of the house after moving patio furniture, pots of plants, etc. The paint job was excellent and took only 4 days from start to finish. They even painted our exterior lights and they look like new fixtures. When they were done, they power washed the concrete patios and driveway. You could not even tell that they had been here other than the house now looks spectacular. I know they are going to paint 2 other homes on our block. They are licensed and have insurance. All City Painting just finished our house and we are very happy with the results. They submitted a competitive bid (in writing), showed up on time and completed the job in three days. They power washed, sanded and caulked the entire house prior to painting and repaired any stucco that was loose or peeling. After painting they cleaned everything and even power washed the driveway. Several of our neighbors asked for their business card after seeing their work. I would definitely recommend Steve and All City Painting. read more

Steve (owner of All City Painting) is the best painter around! He was referred to us by my sister in law, who painted her house to look even better than new. Both for her house, and for mine, his attention to detail and perfectionist-eye made him stand out over the rest. Granted, I needed to call him back to touch up some minor things; but having painted a few things myself, I was not upset as there's ALWAYS tiny details that need following-up on. When he returned, he did even more than we asked, all with his perfectionist-eye. All in all, from start to finish, he was very accommodating, professional, reliable, and neat. He had high expectations of himself, so I didn't have to supervise or concern myself much with his work; he knew what to do and did it well. After 25 years of patching and repairing I was not looking forward to getting bids to repair and paint my house and patio cover and I wasn't disappointed. After 5 bids I couldn't get any of them to do both. One would paint but I would need to get my own carpenter, another bid on the paint and materials but couldn't give me a price on the labor to repair the patio until he had torn it all down. None did all the work themselves. Then, thank God, I called All city after reading reviews on yelp. Steve came out with his wife, looked at the job, said he could do all the work and gave me a very competitive bid. My wife and I could not be happier with the results.
