Worst veterinary clinic ever! Their customer service is deplorable! I made an appointment and when I showed up they said it had been for the day before. I had made the appointment the day before at 2:30 and the appointment was for the next day at 3:00 because they said there'd been a cancellation. I was so relieved because my kitten has a terrible wound on his foot. But they insisted I'd had the appointment the prior day even though I showed them on my phone log that I'd called them the day before. They said they would squeeze me in, but it would have to be an additional $100. charge. No concern for my animal AT ALL!!! I hate this clinic. Don't go there! read more

Then we asked for our dogs prints (she passed away) and they said they would mail them to us, we received a letter in the mail and the prints were not even printed on the paper right it was smudged my boyfriend and i wanted to get a tattoo of our babies prints on us and now we cant because of the way her print was on the paper. First, Porterville is the main problem. Three, or maybe 4, vets for a city of 60,000? Extremely insufficient. The city needs vets more than a baseball field! I didn't feel confident with the vet from the start. Then they charged us an overnight fee, but next day were told nobody is there at night! So that's clearly a $$ ripoff. A pet could be choking at midnight and nobody would know, then owner would be told pet died overnight and they have no idea why. Not acceptable! Wound up wasting about $2000 and still my pet died. Also their euthanasia treatment is horrible horrible horrible! I realized later all the thumping sounds I heard were my pet losing its mind trying to escape the back room. My previous vet in Fresno gave pets a sedative first, in a private room with tissues, blankets, and a separate exit for owners' animals being euthanized, so we could hold him, all be calm and relaxed, and not have to face the others in main waiting room. Once we were ready to say final goodbyes, and only then, the vet put in the final shot. Do you know what it's like to have your pet panting like they'd just run a marathon, and as if that wasn't insulting and hurtful enough to us both, the vet pushed me out of the way to put in the final shot! Don't think about emergency vets, either. I tried one in Visalia, 30 miles away (the nearest one) and there were at least 12 People waiting. The other ER is in Bakersfield...fifty miles away! #1 if treatment in Porterville is all like this, I would NEVER have another pet while living here. #2 this particular vet needs to use a caring, considerate euthanasia process instead of making the human be freaked out, crying within seconds. Maybe he's used to it, but maybe the pet owners aren't, and he scared them off from ever having a pet again. read more

I went to this clinic before and I strongly agree with all the poor review ratings. I don't know if they ever had great customer service even from the begining but if this place wants to learn how too start then visit Tulare Hospital Veterinary ! I've never visited a family based ( I say family based because it feels like one but its not family owned or at least I don't think so) anyways a compassionate, well communicative, overall hard workers! The Vet Doc is like a cool dad that tells you how it is and educates you during the process; informing you multiple routes you want to take for your pets needs and to help them. He gives the greatest advice ever! The front desk are wonderful ladies that fight for your pet as they were their cub in a traffic section so your pet gets all the help they need. These ladies even ran my pet insurance making it easier for me so I wont have to file separately later. They are like a tag team up there. All I had to do was sit and wait calmly and patiently for my pet to get the help they need. In times of desperation I recommend 10,000,000,000,000,000% to go to Tulare Veterinary Hospital. & who cares about the drive if your from porterville. Imbach is one of the best vets to ever practice. I have know him for nearly 40 years and I'm in pathology. I know the good vets and the ones that aren't so great. He is one of the BEST! I saw a poor post from an angry client. I read her complaint. Sadly, things happen and we can guarantee the life of any animal, but it is still costly to care for them to the very end. Trust me when I say I know this man is excellent and to ignore the sour grapes. We are always devastated when we lose an animal, but no one, not even humans, always make it. read more

This used to be our vet, but lately they have really gone downhill. We need to get heartguard for our dogs, and we haven't had a check-up recently enough, which I understand. I tried to get an appointment, but they refused to schedule one for us. I was told that I was going to have to call back every day at 8am until they had a cancellation. I still had a month of heartgaurd left, so I asked if she could schedule me for the next available appointment and she said they weren't scheduling appointments. So what am I supposed to do? I've taken my dogs here for eight years, and I am extremely disappointed with whatever is going on. We are switching vets now because it's unacceptable that this vet won't schedule us and won't refill our prescription until we see them leaving our dogs vulnerable to getting heart worm. read more

My husband and I have loved many "clients" of All Creatures Pet care". We've boarded our baby's there, just a couple times , they've had numerous immunizations there, couple surgeries , of course spay/neuter, etc.. This has been over a period of 20 years, as well as many, many babies (ok pets ). Honestly I can't think of any time I felt disrespected by any of the staff or Drs. I've been pleased with the treatment of my pets. That's all that's important , I'd recommend them . read more

I've paid to get the puppy package for my dogs. I called to asked about my dogs next shot and the receptionist let me know she'd send me a post card letting me know (as they usually do) when to come in. It's been one month later.. I call and they say oh yeah they didn't send it out.. MY DOG COULD HAVE GOTTEN SICK. I understand mistakes happen but every single time I go someone is rude which is usually the receptionists. When I'm already inside with my dog and ask about cutting their nails they always say yes but the receptionists say no every time. This place just needs to start treating people better. We took my cat in spent a ton of money on tests. She was breathing hard. Imbach said she was ok and it wasn't life threatening. Prescribed her meds that didn't seem to be helpful. She still couldn't catch her breath. We were extremely concerned, but trusted him. We kept calling and going in to tell him something wasn't right and the medication wasn't helping. We kept getting the brush off. Told to let the medication kick in. They made us feel like we were overly concerned for nothing. He finally wanted to try a different medication which was a diaretic. Which to me didn't make sense since the Monday before we were getting her fluids for being dehydrated. When we tried to inquire about the choice of medication he wasn't available. (He said she had asthma and she should be ok in a few days. They didn't care that she was fighting for breath.) We begged for help. That same day we tried to get to the animal er. After about an hour of driving and just getting there she passed away. I seriously cannot believe how cold, uncaring, and the amount of negligence my poor baby received. The whole ordeal we were trying to do what was right for our baby only to feel like our vet wasn't. I'm completely heartbroken. I wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

This is a review for the boarding services. My dogs are happy and clean, which deserves a 4-5 star rating, BUT.... I've been here twice. Both times the receptionist (2 different ones) says nada to me and hands me "quotes" for my 2 dogs. BOTH times they included fees for vaccinations and my dogs don't need vaccines! I initially provided the vaccination records and I shouldn't have to keep having a conversation about it. When I mention the quote is wrong, I get an attitude and it takes quite awhile for the adjustment to made. I feel like this is a PUSH to make more money off of people who aren't paying attention. The second, and final visit, my 2 small dogs were quoted at $20 and $21 a night. I didn't pay attention to those rates until I did the manual calculation after I got home. The website CLEARLY shows rates of $17 to $20 a night, with the higher rate for large dogs, so is no one maintaining the website? Also, something very strange to me is that they switch out the dogs collars and leashes for a generic one of their own. Ok. Makes sense, kind of. What I don't like is when I pick them up, the dogs are handed off to me with the generic leashes and I have to get my collars back on the dogs and no one gives any type of assistance. I have 2 dogs and one is very anxious. This whole process is frustrating and not very "customer friendly". I won't be back. read more

I took my dog to all creatures veterinary to get nails trimmed. Mimi is afraid to have her feet touched so I asked for a setitive. It cost me over $180.00. I'm so upset. When I picked her up her nails had been trimmed a quarter of an inch. Way over priced and the the staff was rude. Mimi doesn't like cats and I told them because a cat was walking around and the lady said " keep her on her leash then." NEVER AGAIN! read more

A while back, I had a tiny pup develop a severely swollen throat. She seemed okay the first day and was still eating and drinking. I just thought it was a bug bite or maybe a reaction to something that she got into somewhere in the backyard.. On the second day it got worse and that's when I decided to call. It was pretty late and the only place that was open was this one, I had no choice but to bring her here. When I called I told them about my dog and asked if I could bring her in. I was rudely told that I would be charged with a walk-in fee and an emergency fee. I had never had any medical concerns of this type of severity so I was very panicked and of course I said that it was fine, just as long as they could help my poor pup. She was breathing weird and looked like she was in a lot of pain. I rushed right over and was made to wait for half an hour. I didn't understand why.. I saw the staff just sitting around talking up a client and she already had her pet and was on her way out the door when I showed up. When the doctor finally saw us, he looked at her and right away and told me it was cancer?!! He can tell just by looking?? Well after that he told me that they were going to do a bunch of tests on her and that they would call me with the results. The next day I got the call and they said that they confirmed that it was cancer and told me that they were going to need to do a blood transfusion. Of course, I said yes, I knew it would be very costly and hard to find the money to pay for something like this, but I was gonna make it work! She was there 3 nights total, I had to call them for the updates. They told me she was doing good. I couldn't see her though. On the 4th day, I get a call early in the morning, they told me that she had passed away. WHAT. I was expecting to bring her home soon, I couldn't believe it! They gave me my options and it was so difficult but I had no more money to spend, so I had to go in and pick up her body. I went right away. I went up to reception and they all knew why I was there.. it was horrible. I could barely look at anyone and all I wanted to do was cry. I was given the bill and noticed everyone just staring. It was so quiet. All of them just sitting there, watching. I settled the bill so that I could leave. I hated that place. I didn't want anything else to do with them. When I got home I buried my girl. Later I looked over the bill, they charged me so much for everything and a bunch of stuff that I was never informed of. It came out to a couple hundred shy of a grand. Looking back then, and even now, this whole thing was disgusting and it all felt so shady from the jump! I had a sick feeling about all this the whole time. I should of never went there!! read more

One of the coldest veterinarian offices I have ever unfortunately had to take one of my dogs to. The office staff has to be one of the rudest all powerful groups that decides if a animal lives or dies. Example - I personally called after a weekend informing the staff that my sisters dog had been ill over the weekend and had been vomiting and not able to keep any fluids or solids down. Mind you that we had just had the dog in a matter of 4 days before to have his initial series of vaccination along with his parvovirus shot. I informed the front office of the animals condition and if they had any openings to have the animal seen. I was quickly shot down as if it wasn't serious and these things happen. I informed them that I was genuinely concerned about the animal having lost a previous puppy to parvovirus and recognizing the symptoms. I was casually dismissed and informed if I wanted to make a appointment they maybe could see the dog the following Monday but reassured that there wasn't anything to worry about. I pushed the issue and eventually did get informed I could bring the dog down as a walk in. The vet examines the dog and informs us that it must have been something that he ate. We take the dog home and continue to watch the animal slip farther to end up passed away the next morning. Well unfortunately because this is a small town there really isn't too many options to choose from for vets. So today I call and inform the front office when they first open that my 7 year old Lab has been regurgitating for the past 14 hours over night. They quickly inform me that all appointments for Saturday are filled, so I ask about any walk in appointments. I'm told I could but I'm gonna be charged a walk in fee of $60, a emergency fee of $100, on top of the normal exam fee and any additional fees for exams and medication. I informed the quick toned lady that we have had probably 14 dogs over the past 20 years with them and asked if there was anything that they could do to be able to see my dog today. I was informed over time isn't cheap and the doctor has to call it a day eventually, they have stuff they have to do to. So there may or may not be the fees discussed and possibly more if I do choose to bring my dog in...if the vet chooses to see him. I look at my dog as a member of the family, but I am not open to extortion because of that. If this office had any sense of compassion then maybe they could make a exception for the fees on top of fees before you even start to pay the normal fees. Shame on you All Creatures for taking advantage of people when members of their family are at their weakest. read more

My cat recently passed away and the vet I took her to was to far away so I called All Creatures to help me take care of her remains. I really wanted a private cremation for her and I got her ashes back about a week and a half after her passing. I don't believe her passing and remains could have been handled with more respect. All creatures ships out for their cremations, I believe to L.A. but I really appreciated the way my cat came back to me and her ashes were presented beautifully. I imagined her coming back to me in a cheap cardboard box but the way she came home to finally rest was much more beautiful and respectful to the wonderful creature she was, than I anticipated. Thank you All Creatures for helping me to say goodbye to my friend of many years. read more
