I have brought my animals here for years now. Today I brought my 8 month old kitten and was about to be charge $991 for standard blood work, urine analysis, and a few other tests. $560 JUST for blood work. I called two other vets and googled to confirm that the normal range for a blood test is $90-$250. It is horribly unethical and terrible to take advantage of pet parents trying to do right by their pets and overcharge so much! I'm appalled. I'm so upset to know that I've probably overpaid so much with my other pets. Not to mention, the doctors are inconsistent with treatment. Never again. I really need to let everyone know how sad, disappointed and concerned I am about the medical care at All Creatures on Lyons Ave. However, I want to start with the positive. The front staff at All Creatures were amazing and not only kind and supportive but very knowledgeable and patient. The first vet we saw after we rushed our dog to the clinic for an uncontrolled ear flap bleed was very kind and cared about the well-being of our pet. She collided with our other dog for a tennis ball. We were seen almost immediately and were grateful for their quick response. This vet honestly did what she thought would work to control her bleed, but after 24 hours and removing the ear wrap, the ear was still bleeding. We took her back immediately and met with Dr. Frank Marco. He chose to sedate the dog and cauterize the bleed. He did another ear wrap and told us it would need to remain on for 10 days and for $300 more in fees. Much to our horror he stapled our dog's bandage to her head, so "it wouldn't move" and gave her Ace to sedate her for the next 10 Days. Very concerned, but trusting the vet, we were told that this is done regularly. It was awful. Our pet was miserable and suffering more than ever. We waited a day and brought our pet back to our regular vet, Dr. Brink and Dr. Tran at Santa Clarita Animal Hospital. They removed the staples and bandage, put 1 stitch in the ear and observed for bleeding for 1 hour. No bleeding. Our dog was sent home with no wrap , a bacterial infection from the other wrap but very comfortable. Please avoid Dr. Frank Marco!! Our pet suffered greatly from his "care" and we never want to have this happen again to any dog or cat. They can't talk so we need to. we are saddened to have to write this review and are hoping this vet can be re-educated or retire from the profession. Today I had the worst experience at All Creatures Veterinary Center. I went specifically to get my 13 year old dog Toby X-rays of his heart because I had taken him to TAGS in Valencia and the doctor advised me that he needed X-rays to determine if the cough he has had for a while is heart related or not. I called All Creatures and asked them over the phone how much the X-rays would cost and they advised me $300 to $400. When I showed up I was taken into a room with Toby. Dr. Henwood came in and gave me a brief consult. She asked me why I was here and I told her about his cough and that I needed X-rays. She started suggesting "addition services " such as blood work, sending the X-rays to a third party to have them read in detail. I asked how much all this was going to cost. She advised me that the tech would come in and go over the pricing with me. The tech made it to the room and with the list of services which amounted to a total of $950.00. I advised the tech that I wasn't going to do the blood work now and to remove it and show me the updated list. She came back and saw that there was an additional add on service to send the X-rays to a third party. I told her that I wasn't going to pay for that service yet. I asked her to remove that. I told her that I wanted the X-rays to be done first, and wanted the Dr. to review the X-rays and then we can take it from there. If it wasn't obvious that there wasn't anything wrong after the Dr. reviewed them that we can send them out. The tech said that she would ask the Dr. The tech came back in the room and told me that the Dr. would not remove this and the she's requesting it. The Dr. refused to remove the add on service and refused to take the X-rays. I told her that I would not be moving forward and that I wanted to leave. They had the audacity to still charge me for a consult of $65.00 even though they didn't perform the service that I initially went there for. This sounds unethical to me. They refused to perform a service because I refused to pay for a service that I never requested. I will definitely be taking this to the Veterinary Medical Board (VMB). read more

FRAUDULENT VETERINARIAN!!!They charged us for a dog certification for traveling abroad . Dr Henwood did lab work and told us to come back the day before traveling to get it. I called 2 weeks earlier just to ask if we could get the certificate 5 days before to not cut it so close and the so called Dr wasn't certified to issue travel certificates yet. She is still in the process of trying to get certified. But they charged us $460 plus medicine and now they referred to another vet and we have to pay the $460 again. THEY ARE A FRAUD!!! read more

Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Incredibly knowledgeable. Cat had an eye infection. They were able to see us same day (Saturday). They examined and made recommendations and prescribed eye drops and pain meds. Eye isn't 100% (to be expected) but already looking better one day later. Update: they have also called me to check on my cat's recovery progress although I didn't recognize the number and didn't pick up. They left very nice voicemails. Highly recommend! read more

****Please read my updates with previous review as this veterinarian has made false statements about my review, and therefore we will be now be sending our own formal complaint for investigation to the state attorney general for a separate formal investigation **See previous investigation information of this vet clinic in my first review with the very inappropriate response from the staff, which I will be reporting to Yelp.**** Please also see photos submitted as just a small sample of the proof of the All Creatures staff handling our kitten which we did adopt through their staff member Sarah Reyes on their premises, while she was an employee here in October 2015. It makes zero difference when the offense happened and we have every right to post a review when we see fit. The photos are of our kitten, "Peanut" in this veterinarian's Newhall location on Lyons avenue. We were informed of the state attorney general's investigation only last fall. Our kitten was advertised for adoption on a facebook page and was kept at this veterinary office for treatment until i came to pick him up october 11, 2015. i don't know the "set up" of the adoption, nor the details, i was just told he would be cared for there until i arrived back in town from my business trip. it was none of my concern how this vet did adoptions! Peanut had an eye infection and was dehydrated and emaciated as he was found on highway 126 at 3 weeks old. The photos of him were taken on dates he received vaccinations, micro chipping and other essential care. in addition he was dropped off to sarah and other staff for declawing and neutering during christmas 2015 the week of our honeymoon. he was only supposed to be there one week until we returned! it took almost a month to get him back! We were never informed that he had to be taken out of scv to palmdale/lancaster for surgery and he was taken without our permission to avoid the legal issues pertaining to declawing cats, which we were unaware of. he was also taken the day of our return from vacation when he was supposed to be coming home. Our kitten suffered needlessly with this extended stay at this vet, being taken miles away from us with substandard care and traumatizing him worse than he already was. the only reason he was at this vet was for what should have been a less traumatic experience during our honeymoon with people we thought he would feel safer with because they were familiar to him. Peanut ended up with an infection and he was extremely upset upon returning home and had extensive behavior problems after his return to us. We have the contract for this service and it is slanderous to state we are not clients and accuse us of harassment when we are legally entitled to voice our review of this incompetent veterinarian and staff on Yelp, which is the appropriate medium to do so....please also see my husband's newly posted review. The response by this vet has upset him as well, because he was in attendance at all of the appointments and Peanut is his favorite cat. We are no longer clients and would never set foot in here again with any pet because the last time we took Peanut to this vet he peed all over himself in abject terror, and the staff handled his last visit horribly. Since that time, has been literally impossible to take to any vet, and can only receive minimal in-home vet care. My regret is that we were not part of the state attorney general's initial investigation of this vet. Had we known about it earlier, we would have submitted our complaint then. But now since previous views of my post "marked useful" have been erased, and this practice's staff is rudely denying the thousands of dollars we spent here on boarding our pet and the cost of botched surgeries and undue stress to our cat in addition to calling us liars etc., by choosing to deny the harm they did to our cat on top of slandering our name I feel compelled to ensure our complaint is thoroughly investigated by the state attorney. read more

The first words the employee told me was "I'm sorry we cannot help you." I was frustrated, and devastated that an EMERGENCY CLINIC had no doctors available. I just want to start off this review by saying this is by far the best vet clinic in Santa Clarita I myself have been too. Having a dog with many health issues and concerns causes me to worry about who I send my fur baby too for help and I'm extremely picky and this place has been nothing but great veterinary care from Dr. Mejia. She explains in depth what's going on and allows you to feel safe and comfortable with knowing exactly what's going on with your pet and helps you understand how you can help. This facility is extremely clean, welcoming, and a trustworthy place to bring all your pets for whatever they may need. Kallie has been nothing but helpful in my years of going to this vet and I can say I'm nothing short of happy with the intensive care they provide. My dog was bitten my a baby rattlesnake and I wasn't home when it happened. He wasn't taken to the vet until 4 hours later which is a long time. He was not in good shape when we got there and the receptionist met me out front and rushed him back immediately. They were absolutely amazing. On 02/16, Dr. Siegel and staff neutered and microchipped our 10 month old, Maze. From start to finish, they answered all my questions and made me feel at ease! Dr. Siegel called me when he was done to let me know, all went well, and Jackie followed up the day after to make sure Maze was doing well! I just want to take this time out of my busy day and thank All Creatures Veterinary for helping me get my pet, "Petie" the help needed. I had given, Petie some bacon and bacon dog treats which in turn wasn't a good idea come to find out. He had blood in his stool and it was lose and he was obviously ill. I was told by a good friend, All Creatures Veterinary was a good hospital to take, Petie to. My friend who referred me took his pet, "Ace" (R.I.P.) there for treatment but, Ace ultimately wound up being put to sleep at another facility due to illness. (((THANK GOD))) for the staff at All Creatures Veterinary! They were always polite and always stayed in constant communication with me while I waited in the rear parking lot. Yes, I waited for a long extended period of time but due to Covid precaution but it was worth it. The question is, how much do you love your pet and how long are you willing to wait for their treatment? There was no time for me. One star is for the first receptionists who was at least nice to us. Beyond that, our visit was below standard. I called All Creatures as a last resort to have my dog seen over this weekend to provide relief for his ear infection. Unlike all other veterinary centers in the valley, they were the only place that would see my dog the same day- that was my first red flag considering all of the horrible things I've heard about this place, however, I had taken my dog here before & had a great experience with Dr. Kennedy, so I set aside my judgment as I thought they must've changed ownership/vets to provide clients a better experience. The vet tech comes in & she seems knowledgeable, professional, & kind. We tell her our concerns, & wait for the vet to come in. Dr. Janet McNeil comes to speak with us regarding our dogs treatment plan. We receive our invoice & directly at the top of the page I am charged $125 for an "emergency visit." When I initially spoke with the receptionist on the phone, I was never quoted an emergency bill, I tell this to a tech & she replies that it's their "weekend bill." Had I known that, I would have never booked an appointment for such an outrageous price for an ear infection. However, they failed to communicate this over the phone when I made an appointment with them at 2:30. So, they charged me that bill, however they didn't seem to care about their lack of communication; they just said they'd "talk to the receptionist about that." I would've been $60 richer if brought my dog in on Monday with standard pricing. Moving on- they tell me that they're going to bring my dog back to get his ear cleaned up and provide treatment (ear cleaning, antibiotics, an allergy medicine, and a nail trim) Upon discharge, I bring my dog home & I notice that he is still in immense discomfort, scratching at his ear, and shaking his head. I look at his ear & realize that they did not "clean" out his ear like they said they would (To me, this has always been standard procedure). An infected wound is cleaned/irrigated to provide relief to the patient. Super simple. I would've never thought they'd send my poor dog home without proper/standard care. I call them & ask why they didn't clean out his ear, they tell me that the doctor thought it would be of disservice to clean his ears because they were "irritated." To me, that sounds like an incompetent doctor. From working in the medical field, to every vet I have taken my dog to, standard procedure is cleaning the wound, & providing antibiotics. They tell me I can come back and have his ears cleaned "if I want" or to just do it myself. I talk to my DVM friend over the phone & ask her what her opinion is on his care, she tells me that this is incomprehensible & that my dog needs to be taken back immediately to provide him relief, & like so many other people, she says I should never trust All Creatures with my beloved animals care. I drive my poor dog back to the vet to make things right, & a new receptionist comes up & says we will be charged ANOTHER $100 for his ears to be cleaned. In complete disbelief, I tell her that this is wrong, this is not the service we paid for, my dog is still uncomfortable, in pain, & bottom line not TREATED. I tried rationalizing with her, desperately explaining that haphazardly taking care of my dog & billing $300 is not acceptable, & not fair to him. However, she puts up a fight & gives us an attitude so we were left with no choice than to dispute the charges with our bank & absolutely never lay a foot in this place again. I'm deeply saddened by our experience today, it doesn't come down to money for me at the end, it comes down to my dog did not get the care he absolutely deserved. My dogs treatment was the least of their concern, they would die fighting for every last penny in my wallet before accepting genuine concern for the well being of an innocent animal. I completely understand now why this place is the talk of the town as to how horrible & incompetent they are. I provided a picture of the outside of my dogs ear upon discharge from All Creatures. He won't let me get into his ear to show how much goo & pus is in there (& I really don't need to cause him more pain to get my point across.) but needless to say: take your beloved pets literally anywhere else. read more

Jackie the reception was so kind and helped us with calling Ricki the technician/manager that was extremely attentive to our furbaby immediately triaging, giving oxygen to Relief our furbaby from Hyperventilating. Rosemary the technician stayed to help Ricki just in case. Dr. Siegel provided efficient and knowledgeable recommendations to help our furbaby with her seizures that where out of control. Had a appointment scheduled for my dog at 9am for a mass cell tumor removal. 1pm goes by no call, 2pm no call..I ended up calling at 4pm and they said he was next in line for the procedure. Wtf! Another 45min and my dog is finally home. I even forgot the dogs cone but stopped at a pet clinic down the street and they gave me one for free..I'm would pay extra to stay far away from this place. They need extra help if it takes that long...oh btw looks like others left not so happy either, check out their message posted at their front door Follow up 8 days late: we followed the after care procedures. No walks, no hyper activity, dog wears a cone to prevent licking of the stitches and guess what all the stitching came undone. I took my dog to another vet in the sfv and he said the job looked shouty but he recommended us to return and get it re-stiched for free since if he were to do it he would charge us. Like a dummy I returned back and asked them to redo the stitching. They told us it would not be free and could not give us the price till after the procedure. Yeah okay, I grabbed my dog and left. ***SAVE YOUR ANIMAL SAVE YOUR MONEY*** This establishment is by far the most disgusting, laughable, and almost even offensive "All-In-One" center that has ever been opened in the name of saving animals lives. The negligence and lack of compassion this place shows is incredible. We took our 10 week old puppy too this place in fear of him being ill too vomiting and diarrhea; we called a day prior because we weren't sure how bad the condition would be in the coming hours, so we made an appointment for 12pm. When we arrive we are told there is no appointment but that we are more than welcomed too waiting outside too be served. Being terrified and desperate for a of course waited. Finally a nurse came out too swap my dogs anus for testing; I must not this place NOT ONCE would physically touch or look at my dog. Just a quick anal swan (quick because my boy didn't even wince, and we all know that's not normal) After this test was administered, we are told about 3 hours later that our puppy tested POSITIVE, for PARVO. This is the WORST case scenario. So with that in mind we had hoped too have answer, service, care, maybe even a price quote? You'd think they at least want the business... But no, after informing us that my little puppy is indeed positive for a "PARVO puppy" this center allows us too wait in the heat with our allegedly PARVO-ridden puppy for another FOUR HOURS. Yes FOUR FULL HOURS. Until the rage kicked in. I immediately demanded answers service and care for my dog who they claim was terminally Ill and was in a crisis situation in which we could loose his life. After being "greeted" by Amber, the receptionist, (who is the rudest little Jenny from the block ever) We were very aggressively attacked by so called manage "Jane" who proceeded to use profanity with myself and my partner; until she decided we were the ones being belligerent, what with our concern for apparently dying puppy. This ended with this lovely women Jane "calling" the authorities on us for being harassment, (if you look at some of the pervious reviews this manager LOVES that word) After this inhumane care and service that Jane Amber and the rest of the "staff" showed us. We rushed my puppy too a hospital in tears in Studio City, and explained the situation too which even the RECEPTIONIST of this location was baffled at our recent service. We informed them that we were told by ALL CREATURES VETERINARY, that our baby tested positive for PARVO. They immediately took action with caring for our boy.. and guess what?? They took not one BUT THREE tests just too be sure... and he tested NEGATIVE. But because this company is professional and cares for not only animals but their customers. They made sure too cross reference the test that ALL CREATURES took, and funny enough. They have zero record of ever having had my puppy or any parvo cases. Convenient isn't it?? So I would NOT I repeat would NOT EVER. Take your animal too this laughable "center" Luckily the state is working on revoking these peoples license and there will be penalties for the false information and for the unfortunate deaths that have occurred due too the incompetence and lack of compassion that these people provide. thanks for reminding me not everyone is in this practice for the love of animals!! read more

All Creatures saved my dog's life after he ate about a half pound of grapes one afternoon. Grapes are highly toxic to dogs. After my regular vet refused to see him, All Creatures took him in and immediately tended to him. Sundance had to remain there for two days. He was fine, thanks to the quick action taken, and great care All Creatures gave him. I have since turned both my dogs' records over to All creatures. I used to take them everywhere but, All Creatures Veterinary have proven time and again that they're available to take my pets at a moments notice and their veterinarians are very knowledgeable and professional. Been coming here for years. And every time I tell someone I come here I get warned to stay away... But I've had nothing but positive experiences here time and time again. My cat has a medical condition that causes him to get almost deathly ill a few times a year. Every time I bring him in he's handled with care and compassion. I've seen many people come in while I've been here over the years who seem to have an attitude problem before they even walk in the door. I understand that having a sick/injured pet can be a stressful or traumatic experience... but people shouldn't take it out on the staff here that are just trying to do their jobs... Bottom line is that based on the care my pets received and the respect I'm always treated with I will definitely keep coming back and will highly reccomend All Creatures to other when asked. read more

Hi, I brought my dog in after being stung by a bee. I saw it happen, pulled the stinger and immediately drove to the vet because we love our animals and she's a puppy. The staff was great and really showed urgency to make sure my dog was seen. They did a great job and really cared for my animal. She's ok now and I'm happy. Don't come here don't I have five dogs my little only needs on tooth removed they want to charge me 800.00 to clean her teeth she has no teeth. I asked to have the one tooth removed they told me I have to have her teeth cleaned first for 800.00. My do which is one of five. Is a chihuahua they are know for bad teeth. She only has 4 teeth left but yet they want me to pay for cleaning I only need a tooth remove we can com back later. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. THEY ARE RIP OFFS.
