The thing I appreciate most about Dr. Dewey is that I've never once left feeling like unnecessary procedures, medications, blood work, or testing were being pushed on me. I've definitely had that experience at other vets. Every interaction I've had with Dr. Dewey has felt genuine, and I always leave feeling very confident in her knowledge and judgment. You can tell she really cares about figuring out what's actually going on and making the right diagnosis without immediately throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the animal. The staff is also always extremely friendly, and the facility itself is clean, new, and really nice. And lastly, the pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to some of the other vets in the area. I feel like I'm getting better care without paying more for it. Really happy we found Treehouse and would absolutely recommend them.

She has genuine kindness and concern .. she really cares. She always squeezed Tallulah in when urgent care was needed and that provided me with tremendous peace of mind when I was going out of my mind with concern. In addition, her staff is outstanding--friendly, caring, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed and supported. I cannot recommend Dr. Dewey and her staff highly enough. If I could give 1 Million stars, I would!!!…read more This review is long overdue! Backstory: one of my dogs woke up on a Friday unable to open his eye, which quickly turned into an infection and I spent 2 days trying to find a vet / urgent care to take him to near my home in North Hollywood. Every hospital in LA that I called, I was either met with an immediate "hello, please hold" (for 20 minutes), capacity already met, an absurd wait time with no promise of being seen, or unsympathetic staff saying "an eye infection is not an emergency". I called SC Animal Urgent Care & Wellness Center at 7:08pm on a SUNDAY, arrived at 7:45pm and was seen by Dr. Mousa by 7:55pm! From the second the receptionist answered the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She was extremely compassionate & quickly took my information, along with my dogs symptoms and told me to come right in to be seen by Dr. Mousa. Dr. Mousa is a GOD SEND!!! I am so blessed to have found him. Dr. Mousa examined & handled my dog with so much care and explained that he had an corneal ulcer which was quickly deteriorating his cornea and that if I had not brought him in immediately, he would have lost his eye (which was still a possibility at that point due to the 2 day wait trying to find a vet/hospital). Dr. Mousa's urgency along with his care, compassion and knowledge is the type of service you expect and deserve when you go to a hospital concerned, stressed and scared for your dog. Lexi (vet assistant) is phenomenal & so sweet!!! Lexi treated my dog like he was her own and she explained every step of what was happening and why, then what would be next. She even shared a story about her cat with me to show how she related to me in that moment. They are an amazing team and will give your pets the best car!

Dr. Musa treated my baby Boy Travis so kindly and had so much incredible information that I hadn't been receiving from my own Vet. My dog, Travis was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. To make a very long and stressful story short, I was considering having to put my boy down. Dr. Musa had a treatment plan in less than ten minutes. Explained it thoroughly and he just stayed and talked us through everything. He even stayed around and talked about Travis's brother, who came with us. He truly cares about his patients and their owners, which I was not expecting. I feel as if we're always rushed and never heard. Dr. Musa, his nurse and all of the staff were are genuinely awesome people and I am so grateful to have met them all today. Thank you Dr. Musa and staff!! You're the best!

While we were traveling, our 6-pound Maltese suffered a severe anaphylactic reaction after a bee sting. Within minutes he was vomiting, had lost control of his bowels, was breathing rapidly, became weak and disoriented, and looked like he was slipping away. It was one of the most terrifying experiences our family has ever faced. The moment we arrived, panicked and desperate, although they are not an emergency clinic, they helped us. After the Dr. said he could see our dog, everyone acted immediately. Our dog was taken back without time wasted, and the entire team worked quickly while keeping us informed every step of the way. Dr. Moran was calm, compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. His confidence and expertise gave us hope when we needed it most. The veterinary nurses and staff were wonderful--kind, attentive, and excellent at communicating throughout the entire process. The front desk team was equally amazing, showing genuine compassion and making an incredibly stressful situation a little easier. The care didn't end when we left the office. Receiving a personal phone call a few days later to check on our little guy and make sure he was continuing to recover meant so much to our family. That level of kindness and dedication is something you rarely experience, and it speaks volumes about how much they truly care about their patients. Because of the incredible care we received, our beloved dog is still with us today. If you're looking for a veterinary office that combines exceptional medical care with genuine compassion, this is the place. Thank you all for giving our little boy a second chance at life. We are forever grateful.

I would give this place zero stars if I could! I thought this place would be a good option given…read morethe positive reviews but when I walked into the office it was anything but. For starters, when the vet tech asked me to place my dog on the scale I noticed that there was a huge puddle of urine on it. Yuck! I asked her to clean it up before I'd place my dog on that scale. That's beyond unsanitary! Then when we got to the exam room, that also looked unsanitary! The mat on the exam table had what looked like dried urine stains and nothing smelled clean or sanitized. Really gross and now I'm worried that my dog could have been exposed to something since it's likely nothing in that exam room had been cleaned. I should have left right then and there, and wish I had because things didn't get any better. The vet took forever to come into the room. I was only there to get my dog vaccine boosters but felt they were trying to evaluate and look for random diagnosis. They also were pushy about heart worm testing and charged an arm and a leg for core vaccines. Much more than any place I've ever been. It felt very scammy. And when checking out and paying the hefty bill the receptionists weren't very friendly. Honestly, the whole place just had a bad vibe. I wish I never took my pet here. I don't plan on bringing my pet here ever again and I feel very upset that I trusted bringing her here in the first place. I can't understand how anyone gives this place a positive review. My experience was bad!!

5 stars for the veterinary care itself…read more Our dog had to be sedated to remove foxtails, which turned what we thought would be a $50 check-up into an $850 procedure. Of course, that was unexpected, but once we understood it needed to be done, we were grateful they could help. The vets and vet assistants were excellent. At pick-up, they sat down with me, explained the procedure and results thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed. They even showed us the foxtails that were removed so we could understand exactly what had been causing the issue. That level of care and explanation was really appreciated. The only reason I hesitated on the rating was the front desk experience. On both visits, I wasn't acknowledged when I arrived. A simple "Hi, I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way, especially when you're waiting with a dog in pain or anxiously picking them up after a procedure. There were also some long waiting times in side rooms with little communication. That said, the actual veterinary care was excellent, and that's what matters most. I'm grateful they took good care of our dog.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely unethical and unacceptable…read more I strongly regret trusting Valencia Veterinary Center with my dog. My dog needed what was supposed to be a straightforward mass removal. During our consultation, we were told by the veterinarian that the mass did not need to be sent out for histopathology. We discussed removing that charge from the estimate, and this was confirmed by the veterinarian, a veterinary technician, and the front desk. We received a revised written estimate and paid the required deposit to schedule the surgery. Then we waited more than 30 days for surgery because of their scheduling availability. When I arrived to drop my dog off for surgery, I was suddenly presented with an estimate of approximately $2,394 -- nearly $1,000 more than what we had previously agreed upon. Suddenly, I was told that: * Repeat bloodwork was required because the previous bloodwork was more than 30 days old -- despite the fact that the delay was caused by THEIR scheduling availability. * Histopathology was now supposedly mandatory because of their accreditation -- despite the veterinarian, veterinary technician, and front office previously telling me it was not necessary and removing it from the estimate. I had the prior written estimate with me. I questioned why these requirements were suddenly appearing on surgery day. I was told I would forfeit my deposit if I didn't proceed, which left me feeling pressured to move forward. This is what I find unethical. If histopathology was truly mandatory because of accreditation, why wasn't that disclosed during the consultation? Why did multiple employees tell me it wasn't necessary? Why was it removed from the written estimate? And why was the requirement suddenly reinstated when I arrived for surgery? Likewise, if updated bloodwork was required after 30 days, why wasn't I notified before showing up for surgery? The clinic knew exactly when my dog's previous bloodwork was performed and when they scheduled her surgery. Pet owners should not be blindsided with hundreds or thousands of dollars in additional charges when they are standing there with their pet ready for surgery. I have copies of the estimates and will be attaching them to this review so other pet owners can see the difference for themselves. What should have been a routine procedure turned into an experience where I felt pressured, misled, and unable to trust the people responsible for my dog's care. I have filed a complaint with the California Veterinary Medical Board and am asking them to review the conflicting representations regarding the medical requirements and the circumstances surrounding the changing estimates. I will NEVER take another animal to Valencia Veterinary Center. Pet owners: Get every recommendation and requirement in writing, scrutinize your estimates, and don't assume the price or requirements you've agreed to will be the same when you arrive for surgery. There are too many veterinary practices that value transparency and treat their clients with honesty and respect. Based on my experience, Valencia Veterinary Center is not one of them. In regards to your response: I did not opt or agree to the histopathology, I was told that you required it for your accreditation (which is false) and that it was mandatory and if I did not agree to the histopathology you wouldn't proceed with the surgery and we'd lose our deposit. So we were forced to pay for it and I do not recommend anyone trust this veterinary clinic or their staff as I was told multiple times by other staff something different. You say the vet I saw was not your regular vet yet he was working at your clinic and paid for their work on your payroll correct? Than day of you at check in you present an extremely high estimate and advise the histopathology is "mandatory". You literally try to price gouge your customers and everything they was previously agreed upon you said was incorrect and that you would talk to your staff when you should've honored your word. Instead we were forced to pay for bloodwork and a histopathology that was not necessary.
