Watch for seasonal classes (heart paperweight! turkey ornament!). Unlike the other suburban glass studio I've taken classes at, they also have a gift shop, so you can buy something instead of having to take a class if that's your jam. You could also actually buy the piece used to advertise a class. Pieces are affordable and there's a wide variety (cute little succulent gardens, stained glass, glass ornaments, resin keychains, etc.). Class prices are similar or a little less than what I've seen elsewhere, and if you become a member they're cheaper. Yes, they do open studio. I took a resin class, which was easy and fun; the teacher was patient and helpful. Class sizes are small (I actually got a solo class as a group canceled at the last minute). The owner was there, who was happy to show me cool projects related to the class I took, as well as to offer information about other classes they do. Signage is pretty good; you have to drive down a driveway to get to the businesses on the ground floor - look for the sign. Lots of parking.

While booking the party you get to pick the project (from a few choices). Day of she walks/teaches the kids through every step of the creation. After, she fires the clay and you pick it up! I needed some very simple mating for two prints (really nothing fancy, just basic) and had them made. Much to my dismay, upon getting them home, one fit and the other didn't. I returned to the store to have the issue fixed. The guy was nice about it and even agreed to mount and insert into the (very cheap) frames I already had given the mistake. But then things took a turn for the worse... A week went by and I heard nothing. Returning to the store, I happened to be in the area, I chatted with the framing department and, ultimately, the manager (?) - escalation on their side, not mine - and he was not very pleasant. In fact, he was down right combative and in-my-face about the fact that the work was not done and that I should simply wait for a call. Long story short, I did get a call and ultimately picked up my pieces - they look great by the way! So I'll chalk this one up to a stressful time of year and (other... :) ) frustrating customers.

Parking is still free but people park so haphazardly that it can be almost impossible to get into your car and out of your space when you are finished and want to leave.
