This was my first time working with Knockerball Chicago and playing bubble soccer. We had a group of 14 ppl for the 1 hour package. The price came out to 32 per person and the service was great! They come to out to any park that's close to us and set up everything. They gave us very specific instructions on how to wear the suits and switched up the game so we continued having a lot of fun! It was definitely a great experience and an amazing workout. It is super safe despite how scary it looks and veryyyy fun! The bubbles are pretty heavy and hard to run in so 1 hour was plenty of time to play. We had a group of boys and girls and everyone was exhausted at the end. So keep that in mind. read more

To Martin C, wow, disappointed in your response to my review. Wasn't nice. First, you're not sure what my problem was finding a location?! The open field wasn't in our backyard. It was open land next to us. And being responsible, I wanted to get permission to see if we can even use it! It took several phone calls just to find out who the owner was and then to get permission from. And that's after having contacted our park district and they didn't even know what Knoccerball was or if they would allow it! Second, the "surprise " additional fees were not even on your pricing information online! So, no, I don't understand that. That's not good business. And lastly, I have written email communication from your company saying exactly what I said in my review about your weather cancellation policy which was so upsetting. Otherwise I wouldn't have complained about it. And you commenting on my review the way in which you did, I for sure would never book with you again regardless. read more

My company rented from here for a team building event and we had our team get here a half an hour before the start time to get the 20 minute instructions we were told that we needed to have. We got to FFC and waited for them to arrive at 10am in which they were late and all of us were already there. They also took an additional 15 minutes to blow up the bubble balls which we should know in advance to factor in but were not told this. The playing of it was in itself a lot of fun, but the 2 guys working didn't seem as into explaining things and mostly were interested in kicking the other ball to each other and near the end playing basketball while we were playing. I didn't know how to address this with them without coming off like a jerk, but the top part of the bubble isn't covered and while we might be kicking a soccer ball around a basketball falling from the hoop there could have hit our head. So, how does that get covered in the liability waiver? Our area was partitioned off for half the basketball court. So these 2 Knockerball guys/employees decide to grab a ball from the other side and shoot hoops on the same court side that we are playing on while we paid for this rental of the FFC gym so that they could also entertain themselves - very interesting. It was very distracting and annoying. I wasn't able to block my goal for fear that the basketball would land on top of me since I was already having a hard time moving in the bubble looking for the ball to kick. It really seemed unprofessional. I thought they were there to help provide instructions, referee, and make sure that we don't damage their stuff and that all of us are having fun and promoting the sport. I am pretty sure they were also not keeping score of the game either as what was a tie seemed to be a win for one team and we just let it go because we were pretty tired. In any event I would do it again but maybe consider another company. I think that they need to find employees that are more of an advocate for their company than themselves. read more

We booked a knockerball party for an 11 year old bday party. They initially offered to help find a venue saying they've worked w park districts before in the area and would get back to me. Then they called a handful of days later asking if I was still interested in the party and I reminded them that they offered to help find a venue with park districts they'd had worked w before. They had forgotten. I ended up finding an indoor venue on my own, which is fine, just the fact that they didn't follow through it remember that they were going to try to find one was a little disturbing in term of trusting their accuracy and follow up. They sent 2 teenage boys (or maybe 20 year olds?) to our party. We filled out waivers and they never even asked for them. They were not really helpful in directing the boys for safety and as they'd blow up one knockerball a kid would jump in it and start running over kids that weren't in a ball. It was chaotic as we were trying to control all 15 boys. Normally event people will help in providing safety rules and instructions so no one gets hurt. This didn't happen and kids were getting pummeled without protection. I had to ask them to get a game organized and explain how it would work to the boys. We had to practically run the event. But the worst was that the straps inside the knockerball were attached through metal hinges. These hinges scraped the heck out of some boys backs and we're just plain painful for others. My husband even tried it and said it hurt. He put a couple knockerballs aside as unusable because the hinges hurt so bad. Some kids heads hit the hinges when the were knocked on their side and it just hurt. Many kids didn't want to play any longer because it hurt too much. When I contacted the owner and even sent him a picture of A kids scratched up back, all he said was that he'd never had this problem and would look into it. Never an apology for kids getting hurt nor an apology at it affecting kids wanting to play anymore. On top of that he never got back to me like he said he would after supposedly examining the balls. The concept is very fun. The company is not very professional, certainly not focused on safety, and the follow up by the owner was uncaring at best. I'd look to see if another company was better suited to provide this activity. read more

*This review is based on business practices, not the actual experience itself.* On July, 2nd 2016, we were planning to throw a picnic for roughly 150 people and we were excited to add Knockerball to the mix. On June 9th, 2016 we reached out to Knockerball Chicago to get more information and book their services. According to Knockerball, due to the amount people attending and/or participating, we needed a customized program and pay half of the total amount upfront as a deposit. We booked, paid the deposit and finalized everything on June 9th. On June 17th, plans have changed and we decided not to move forward with the picnic on July 2nd and did not reschedule the picnic for a future date. Prior to reaching out, we reviewed the documentation (the contract, liability waiver and the invite. No cancellation/refund/deposit policy) that was provided to us via email as well as searched their website to review the refund and/or deposit policy. Not able to find such information, we reached out to Knockerball on June 17th, 2016 to inquire about the deposit. Lo and behold, the document that explains the "non-refundable deposit" is a completely SEPARATE document and NOT INCLUDED in the documents and/or package sent to review to book Knockerball. We then researched other Knockerball facilities and their cancellation/refund/deposit policies. Most Knockerball facilities offer your deposit back within a certain time frame or others charged a cancellation fee of $150. I then inquired on why Knockerball Chicago's policy varies completely from other Knockerball facilities? After a few responses that gave us the same run around, we received a response from the CEO of Knockerball Chicago. The response from the CEO of Knockerball Chicago was: "Feel free to call me at your convenience next week and I will explain in depth that each Knockerball affiliate is its own licensee of the brand name and how each chooses to operate their business has no bearing on each other." We've been trying to reach him since Tuesday, June 21st 2016. It is now June 23rd and my associate has left roughly 3 different messages with NO SIGN of returning our calls.**To update, it is now 07/01/2016, still no response to this review or a call back.** I UNDERSTAND separate licenses, how each Knockerball is its own entity and CHOOSES to operate their business. What I don't understand is poor business practices. Bottom line: You find it completely acceptable to charge us a LARGE deposit for a CUSTOMIZED package WITHOUT services actually being rendered. Based on the response of the CEO of Knockerball Chicago, you are CHOOSING not to return our deposit, our calls and NOT TO PROVIDE all documentation to review prior to signing. Based on questionable business practices, we DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend Chicago Knockerball. read more

We LOVED our Knockerball experience. We were part of a church group that was camping in Wisconsin and they drove all the way up to Lake Geneva to put on the event for us! They were very accommodating and worked hard to make sure we had a wonderful experience and that our needs were met. They also have discounts for Church Groups which made it even better! I can't say enough great things about our experience! It was unforgettable! Plus, Joey was sooooo awesome to work with. He truly cares about making your Knockerball experience a good one! read more

We had a group of guys do this rental just for fun. This was smooth, we just showed up and played, nothing we had to do or bring on our end. The entire experience was a blast, our first time playing. It was mostly soccer and then the guys who brought the equipment also came up with a couple non-soccer games for us to play, a nice change of pace. Don't overdo it at first, you WILL get tired within 5 minutes otherwise and never last the full rental time. Highly recommend trying at least once. read more

I had a company outing with Knockerball and it was a blast. When booking the Owner took the time to explain pricing and details so there would be no surprise add ons. The crew arrived on time and was great. They ensured we had fun but also made sure they took proper safety precautions. It was fun for all ages and skill levels. It was a workout but I am looking forward to booking them again. read more

We have had great experiences with our Knockerball rentals. We've done them twice for a large group gathering for HS students. The students love it, and it's always a very highly attended event. We also have received really great deals from Knockerball Chicago when it comes to rentals, which we've appreciated. Nothing about our rental was horrible, but there are a couple of things that I would recommend people clarify at the time of rental, and that I would recommend Knockerball take into consideration as well. *Clearly communicate at what time the staff will be arriving. We were never told a time by the company for when they would arrive, and remembered that the last time they did an event for us, they arrived an hour prior to set up everything. We were slightly panicked when at 5:40 pm (for a 6 pm event) the staff still wasn't there. When they arrived, they expressed that it wouldn't take them as long to set up. We ended up not starting the Knockerball portion of our evening until 6:30 anyways, but had we started promptly at 6, they would not have been set up on time. *The staff that was sent to our event was two young (teenage I'm assuming) boys. At least one of them went to school with some of our students...so I know he was at least in HS. It would be great if there was someone a little older and more responsible there to run an event that is for the same age group. The first time we rented from you, we had 4 staff members...2 younger guys and an older guy and girl. The girl was responsible for waivers, forms etc.....which leads me to my next point. *When I asked the Knockerball staff members if we needed waivers for our minor students at the event, he told me he had an ipad that they would enter their email address in to give consent. I asked if they needed a parent, and he said no. How are minors able to give consent for themselves to participate? The entire waiver process needs to be better communicated up front, and handled better overall. The first time we did this event, the company did try to gather waivers from each parent when the students came. When I requested a list of people who signed the waivers after the event (several times I had to request the information), I was told that Knockerball Chicago was unable to produce that information. It just seems dangerous to me that you are not requiring waivers for minors, and that you cannot tell me who signed them. Makes me wonder how sound the process is. What is the process if someone is hurt while using your equipment? Maybe just communicate that more clearly. read more
