Lennox elite gas furnace and Ecoer ESi series heatpump

Beantown installed a new furnace and heat pump yesterday in our split level. This replaced 30yr old gas furnace and added a heat pump. Can't say enough about their professionalism and efficiency. The removal and installation went as described, they adjusted to any obstacles encountered, and left the place spotless. Kudos to Kyle, Anthony, and the electrician whose name escapes me. Friendly, very knowledgeable, and great work product. It was a MassSave loan project which Beantown guided us thru the process. Went like clockwork and got the loan approved in a day thru Eastern Bank. 7yrs 0%. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEANTOWN!

I called Beantown last year for my annual HVAC checkup, as I had an older system. The company I was using told me the entire unit needed to be replaced, so I called Beantown as a second opinion. They told me that monoxide levels were fine, but that the unit was old. That was a huge relief. So I decided to call them back out for service this year, early fall. Unfortunately the CO levels were deadly, so they came back and replaced the furnace. Best part: these guys, Shane and Matt, were professional, personable and knowledgeable--and you can tell they love and take pride in their work. This made the stress of such a huge purchase much less scary. I highly recommend Beantown. Everyone there has been great to deal with. Will definitely call them again.

I got quotes and presentations from 4 different vendors and the pitch and price was exactly the same - hour long presentation and a $30k cost. However, what each vendor tells you is that IF you qualify a $10k rebate is available and your net cost is $20k. Essentially the rebate is a scam - it just gives contractors the ability to inflate the prices and use the rebate to make the system sound cheaper than it really is. I finally met with McIver and he was able to simplify the entire process. He is not a Mass Save contractor. So he does not work the rebate, just offers a strait-up cost to install the system. When he gave me his quote, I quickly figured out that Dan McIver was an honest man and that the whole Mass Rebate program was a scam. His quote with the similar equipment and the same number of mini-splits was $13,500. I hired him for the job and they started within a week. One of my biggest concerns was esthetics - I was worried about too many refrigeration lines running around the outside of the house. Our house is a rental property in Cape Cod that had a lot of charm to it and we did not want to ruin the integrity of it. Dan came up with a brilliant solution and was able to run most of the lines through the basement to minimize the lines on the outside of the house - we were so pleased with this solution. His team did a fantastic job building out the system - they were clean and finished the project on the timeline he quoted. The work was high quality!! Net is that Dan took a very complicated buying process and made it simple and affordable. He is highly recommended for the quality of his work, pricing and his honest and straightforward approach!
