Great customer service! Came for a tire alignment; they skipped over checking something properly, which throw off the alignment working properly (they checked this before I left), and then ensured it was complimentary. What was important to me was that they cared about delivering good service, my safety, and doing their job 100%. I can't complain about that... can't put a price on that. I would choose this location any day over the other Pep Boys and even my car dealership. Hopefully all of my experiences here are great. read more

I am a fan of Pep Boys but not this one. I had an appointment for an oil change at 8 this morning. Dropped car off at 7:45 and returned at 9:30 and the car had not moved. They said there were two cars ahead of me. what's the point of an appointment time? At 11:30 my car was finished-- almost 4 hours after dropping it off. They apologized for the delay saying a filter was out of stock. They didn't know that until they saw my car at 10:45 a full three hours after dropping it off. Hopefully there is another pep boys near by. read more

Tire service requested for low tire pressure. Service desk very polite abd customer service oriented. Although the online scheduling is not perfect (not the staff fault) I still decided to stay and wait for service. I am glad I waited as everything was handled completely to my satisfaction!! read more

This store stole $807 from me. I paid in advance for parts and labor that were not performed and manager Jason Kuhn refused to give re-fund, then lied when I disputed charges with my credit card company. I dropped off my 2022 F-150 for oil change and tires (this is a fleet vehicle that this pep boys has maintained since new), and got a call that the rear axle was leaking and they needed to replace seal but had to order parts. They (Daniel) also notified me that there were a few recalls on the truck, one for the rear axle, but assured me that the axle leak had nothing to do with the recall. I came and picked up truck and paid for the oil change, tires, and paid in ADVANCE for the axle repair job including parts and labor on 1/27/24. One week later, I drop off the truck for the axle job, I get a call the next day from Daniel saying that Ford won't give Pep Boys the parts because they fall under the axle recall (the one he previously assured me was not related to my issue), and that a Ford dealer needed to perform the job. He said I could come pick up the truck, and would receive a refund for the axle parts/labor that I paid for in advance the week prior. I go to the shop to pick up the vehicle and Jason Kuhn tells me that he thinks the vehicle is un-safe to drive (waiting until I arrived to reveal this critical piece of information). I then asked for my refund and he said because it's over $200 that I would have to wait for a check from a corporate manager which I told him was unacceptable since I paid with a credit card 1 week ago. I told him I need the refund to my credit card and he refused. This is a corporate expense for me so I needed a credit card refund and receipt documenting it, not a check! I disputed charges and they flat out lied in their response, saying I paid AFTER I was satisfied with services, and the services where provided. When in reality I paid in ADVANCE for parts to be ordered and for the labor. I'm attaching both receipts so that you can see the axle was repaired by FORD not pep boys, at a later date (2/14/24). I've been going to this location for years and when Pam was there it was great. Jason and Daniel are not to be trusted, will charge you for work that is not done, will lie to your face, lie on the phone, and lie to your credit card company. Liars and thieves. I had a tire which needed air at sporadic non-specific times. I bought the tires from Leesburg Pep Boys on Main Street about 1 year ago. The service I had at that purchase was GREAT and the workmanship the best. Now the sometimes slow leak. The tech found a very small nail which accounted for uneven loss of air. I was in and out of there in 1 hour. The service writer and tech were the BEST! If you want to experience good service at a fair price stop in there. read more

I took my vehicle in to get my brakes done. I was given a price which was a little high but not crazy. i agreed, then they called after starting the work and said the calipers were seized and would double the price to replace. if I wanted all the brakes replaced (rotors and pads)rear calipers and a brake fluid flush it would be 1450. I took to another franchise mechanic and they told me the calipers were just fine and thier price was 100 less. This is the type of scum that make me not trust companies like this. always check the internet for what the average price is to get your brakes done, then get two or three quotes. read more

Do not go here!!! Find another oil change place!! They were only putting 5 quarts of oil in my SUV that is a turbo and takes 6 quarts. We had to go back 2 times, a week after 2 different oil changes because the low oil alert came on. The fat tall guy in the front was an asshole and literally said, "I find that hard to believe that we didn't put enough oil but we will check it". Then my husband tried to ask them how many quarts they put in and their response was. "We don't have any control over that, it's what the system tells us to put in". Welp, it was a quart low per the mechanic and the fat tall guy. Your guys obviously put in the wrong 2.0 and didn't account for the turbo engine. We won't be going back, they could have damaged our engine because of their stupidity!! Obviously your system was wrong. The receipt even says they only put in 5 quarts. They technically should be paying us for almost damaging our engine. And then, 2 different guys couldn't even reset the oil service alert in our car, that tells me they are not trained or skilled enough to work on newer more complex digital car systems. read more

My son had his MAF repaired at a shop in Tampa for a trip to Mt Dora. On the way there, the check engine light came on AND the car just quit moving at a red light. He had it towed to this Pep Boys, and since it was so late in the evening he had to leave the car overnight. Of course you expect the worst when the car just quits working, so when they called early the next morning we were pleasantly surprised that 1) Pam was able to diagnose and repair the small problem very quickly and 2) There was no charge. We were elated - the problem was the repair done in the morning had damaged a wire that was simple to repair. Pep Boys could have charged for this work but didn't, which was so kind after an expensive tow. All shops have good and bad luck,cars have good and back luck, this good luck visit for sure makes up for the bad luck from the morning work. If we run into problems in that part of the state again, I know where we are having the car taken. Thanks again Pam! read more

My car had no power. I had it towed to their garage. Upon their findings the brake switch was bad. My powersteering line has a slow leak but they said all the hoses needed replaced. They said the battery was good. Then they changed the story. As now the battery is bad also. Here is the kicker. The parts would take a week as they were going through the dealer. But I called around and found all the parts forway less next day available. Then I was sticker shocked as they were going to charge me 1700 dollars. I am a senior and at the time had no one to help me. My son was out of town. When I got ahold of him and told him he said no and came home to take care of me. All it needed was a battery. He lubed the switch and it works perfectly. He tightened the hoses on the powersteering and voila fixed. 120 dollars . They were obviously trying to overcharge me. I saw where they got sued I can understand why. read more

Brought my truck for an oil change and free inspection. They showed me the wiper blade peeling apart and ask if I wanted it replaced because it was dangerous. The only problem was I had replaced it the day before. When I told him. The guy at the counter like looked he was in the middle of the mall and realized he forgot his pants. They replaced it without another word or any charge. When I left I checked the dip stick and looked at the filter to make sure it had been changed. Who needs that? read more

They have the best price on tires. They have online pricing and ordering. They don't use a torque wrench on your lug nuts for your tires. They will over-tighten them with the impact wrench. If you put a tire iron on your lug nut, and stand on it, and it does not move, it's too tight. A year later when you get a flat it will be even harder to get off. It's also hard on the threads. I made them get the torque wrench out, and re-tighten them properly, then I went over every lug nut to make sure that they were not too tight. You don't want to be stuck on the highway and not be able to get the lug nuts off to put the spare tire on. The guy that did the work, drove the vehicle in with the car door open, and his leg pinned between the car door and the car. If he had hit something, it would have crushed his leg. I had my battery go out without warning. I called over and they assured me that the necessary battery was in stock. After I arrived, Cory couldn't find it. It happens. I understand. But instead of being honest, he examined my car and told me that I had just drained the battery and didn't need a new one. (Mind you I had just done over an hour of highway driving so I don't think the battery was drained.) He never did a load test. Because I trusted him, I was left in a situation of having to get my car towed after dark, 70 miles from home and having no way to get home or to work the next day. Don't patronize liars. read more

Never going back. Had my oil changed today and they spilled oil all over my engine, the truck reeks so I left out outside with the hood up. Then I noticed my coolant was empty, I guess pep boys doesn't check that so I looked at my transmission fluid, guess what, almost empty. Well tomorrow I'm going to a real mechanic to have everything checked and to see if pep boys even changed my oil. Update, I found out why my truck reeks, they pinched my gas line! Wow I found out how PepBoys on Main Street Leesburg is really trying to rip people off and screw the people in the city here where they do business The starter on the Caravan is starting to go so I stopped there tonight to see how much to replace the starter and they quoted me $450. That seem excessive to me so get home and look up Oreillys Auto parts price and it is $79. for the part then I check Pepboys part price and its $99. so in reality Pepboys wanted to charge me $350. to install a simple starter ..HELL NO !!! Two years ago went to pep boys for alternator issue and battery replacement they took care of the problem and I was on my way. A little over a year later the alternator went again they replaced it and the battery free of cost as the part was under warranty and along with the labor. I had a good experience. read more

Can't say about this location, but the one on near ViaPort Mall is really something. They tried to sell me $500 worth of tires, (my tires are two years old). Said they couldn't sell me an oil change unless I purchased the "recommend" high quality change at twice the cost. I almost left, until one guys said, well ok. Felt like I was at a timeshare sale!! Really unpleasant experience. I will not go back. It use to be Just Brakes and now its Pep Boys. If that's the way Pep Boys runs their business, no thanks! read more

0 stars if it were possible... Absolutely terrible place, not on one occasion but several has this Pep Boys not stood by there work... let's just go with the most recent. Recently had an alternator and battery replaced by pep boys ($510) with some other minor work (because they seem to always find something extra) and within a month or so I drove to Orlando and my van died out. Didn't bother going back to Pep Boys for a fix because the first two times i took it back after insisting it was the alternator all they did was offer to replace the battery after I brought to their attention. After replacing not one but two batteries I finally realized I'd better go elsewhere and have it fixed. For a fix that was about 1/2 the cost another company replaced alternator and battery. When I brought the paperwork in from the repair I had to pay for to verify their work was faulty and I needed someone else to do exactly what I paid them for a month earlier, the Manager Jody insisted the he couldn't refund my money because he didn't have the card on file... instead all he did was offer me $510 in store credit and we all know that's not going to help anyone, especially if I never intend on going there again. So one way or the other they got my money and no one could do a thing about it... I'm 33 years old and this is literally the first review I've ever written, this place is a scam and the manager (Jody) told me today that they charge so much because they can't compete with independent mechanics and essentially admitted to up charging on parts to fill the gaps. No integrity or honesty here in the least. Never ever take your vehicle here for anything ever. You'll walk in wanting air in your tires and come out being told you need a new transmission... Pep Boys handled my service needs without a problem, no problems, they let me know my brakes needed to be done soon but I still had some use in them, they didn't force/push me into getting it done now if I couldn't. Excellent overall experience. read more
