I deducted a star since I felt the sales rep wasted our time (it was very difficult to try to politely end the video call with him) by trying to tell us that consumer-grade cameras weren't going to meet our needs and he tried to upsell us by showing an unrealistic simulation of how fuzzy the images would look compared to their systems he wanted us to buy. Brian wasn't able to get one of our pre-existing wired professional camera system to work, and he dropped communication and delayed appointments by months several times while this was all happening, but I appreciate that he didn't charge us for this, so I'm just adding this as an FYI.

The main issue is the person who's watching the intrusion is either not reacting when a thief coming (like literally 20 sec to 2 minutes of full inaction), or they incoherently saying "this is deep sentinel" - like it's suppose to do anything and it doesn't. When they did react (always late), they haven't called the cops not a single time when we had intrusion on our private property (a guy tried to open our garage door at night, another person was stealing stuff from a trash bin right next to the entrance door at night). When it was obvious theif stealing amazon packages from the porch, the DS guiard after watching it for 20 seconds, introduced herself and wished him a good day (facepalm). On a search to replace this joke.

I sent him two pics of the lock and he says, yep 250.00 I'll be there shortly. He comes in and tries but can't get the handle off or the door open and now needs to drill out the lock. Ok, fine. He says it will be another 100.00 and he will be right back. A bit later an older man comes to drill the lock out, his Dad. The final bill was 385.88 for one lock and two people because one couldn't handle the job! You send a young kid and because he couldn't get it done you charge the client extra, got it. I am sure it's not the first or last lock that has to be drilled out, but bait and switch. Not a professional way of doing business, would NOT recommend at all.

Called Aaron a few days ago to inquire about having our TV mounted, which we've had for a while and…read morewanted to finally get up to clean things up. He responded quickly, showed up on time (early actually), and was extremely knowledgeable. Once he arrived, I explained that I had been going back and forth for months between upgrading to a soundbar with a sub or investing in a full audio system (receiver, towers, sub, etc...). We spent well over 30 minutes talking through the pros and cons of each, along with important things to consider like the size of the house and living room. Ultimately, I decided that I will be upgrading our current soundbar to a newer and nicer one in the near future. He was extremely polite and patient, taking the time to explain terminology and concepts in a way I could easily understand as we installed and set things up (picture and display settings, 1080p vs. 4K capabilities, audio/video/HDMI cables and what they do, device "switches," and how everything works together) as he was installing things so I'll be able to manage it myself down the road. And he came with mounts and equipment that was better than what I bought and was cheaper as well. I highly recommend him and will definitely be calling him again in the future.

STAY AWAY Look at the review from Martha P....our experience was almost word for word the same. All Guard responded in the same way they did to us. They go back in their notes (which their idiot technicians write) and then have someone in the office who knows how to spell write a response. It's BS. Let's start with the sales process. Stephen Kennedy cannot be trusted. As with most salespeople, he promised the moon and didn't deliver. We met with him when we were about to open our business (first time, locally owned SMALL business here) and he presented a contract. He came out and evaluated the space which had an ALL GUARD alarm already installed from the previous tenant. Easy enough, right? He informed us of two options, keep alarm as is, pay nothing and they will CONFIRM all is in working order and then be charged monthly. Option two was to redo the system and then pay monthly ($100 set up). Since I was TOLD that there was nothing wrong with the current system, I went with option 1 of course. I had asked him several times to send the contract so I could take the time to review it. Our meeting was over on time and I had to move onto interviews that were walking in the door. I asked him to send me the paperwork and went outside. Well, he decided to take it upon himself to interrupt my husband and ask him to sign the paperwork, saying that I said it was okay. We were so completely overwhelmed at that time I just didn't have the right mind about me to stop the relationship there. I never recieved a copy of the contract, until of course, it benefited them. The tech came out to hook up our system to our phone an reset it and all. We were so busy at this time I cannot give you a play for play, but he said the front door alarm MIGHT not hold up and went on his way. By the way, this same tech thought it was appropriate to grab himself and give it a good scracth WHILE he was talking to me. DISGUSTING. I just wanted him gone. A few days later, front door alarm broken and we have to fix it. Tech came out on a time and materials basis, $200 later. Next couple of days motion detectors not working, tech came out again time and materials, $200. Next day front door broken again, tech came out $200. And to boot, there was a salt shaker on top of the back door since we took over the place (every time all guard set foot in our space it has been there). I went to remove it when doing our cleaning in preperation to open. GUESS what...is was somehow keeping the back door sensor in place (magnet) so that was not working either. NO ONE either noticed that, which means Mr. Kennedy and the tech who came out initially did not check the system like they were supposed to, or they hid that info from us. Bottom line is....they tell you want you want to hear to get you to sign. DO NOT do it. I cancelled our contract after the salt shaker thing and they have now sent us to collections. Way to go all guard. You "monitored" our space for 3 weeks and you think I owe you for 2 years? You did no work, no set up, no rewire nothing ( that you did not charge us for) and you think you deserve that money? You are a horrible representation of what a business should be. I don't know how you sleep at night taking advantage of small businesses around you. SHAME ON YOU! We now have ADT and are pleased with them. They came out and for no charge redid All Guards mess. The monthly fee is the same as All Guard. I just kick myself for not trusting my guy from day 1 with sketching salesperson Kennedy. Always go with your gut and take the time to review the contract. they will tell you it's a special and you have to do it today....it's BS. Don't pay them to do nothing. read more

My advice is to stay away from All-Guard. We were a long-time customer and were considering upgrading our system 2.5 years ago. The sales rep, Jim Pass, quoted a rate of $35 a month. We said we'd pay $32. He said he couldn't go below $35, so we said we'd shop around. All of a sudden, he went down to $32, verbally. My husband filled out the contract, as I was indisposed at the time, not noticing that this totally disreputable sales rep wrote in $35 and locked us into a three year contract! He didn't give us a copy of the contract either. It said we had 3 days to cancel, but since we didn't have a copy of it, we didn't know about it. The three year term was something he filled in, so it's something variable upon which the rep can decide how much of a sucker you are. After the system was installed, it took me quite awhile to notice that we were being billed for $35 instead of $32 and when I did, I assumed they had raised the price without notifying us. I recently learned when I called to cancel service and switch to another company that they had us locked into this contract through the end of 2014. Suddenly, when I wanted to cancel they offered me a rate of $27 for next year if I stayed with them. This became $19 the next day after the lady spoke with a manager. So all along, we could have been paying $19 a month and they've been ripping us off for $35! Ashley in the billing department was not any help at all, except for emailing me a copy of the contract. I even spoke with the president of the company, Dennis Cooke to complain about Jim Pass and his unethical business practices and he completely backed him up - said we had signed the contract. Their service is not very good either. Our alarm went off while we were on vacation once and they called our back-up contacts. My husband's brother-in-law drove 20 minutes to get here and waited outside our house in his car for 40 minutes! No one showed up and no one from All-Guard bothered to call him back to tell him he could leave. He was very upset and I can't blame him. On another occasion, the alarm went off as a false alarm and I entered the code to shut it off. I expected a ball from All-Guard to ask if everything was all right and it never came! I called them asking why they didn't call and they said the correct code had been entered to shut it off. Well, someone could have been holding me at gunpoint forcing me to shut it off. My parents have had All Guard Systems in their home for about 5 years now. They wanted fancy features like controlling their system through a smart phone they were seeing on TV. I, of course, was designated to do the footwork for them which thankfully All Guard Systems made easy. I was offered a face-to-face meeting with a sales rep but I opted to speak with someone through the phone and email. They were super accommodating without being pushy. It actually made me laugh when they explained their service fees to me in real people terms. Buying an alarm system is like buying a car. You pick a base model and it gets more expensive as you want more features. There is a monthly payment. You get a warranty. You get a service department. The equipment is yours to be responsible for. I assured me that they're always there to answer my questions and provide service as necessary but as time passes and maintenance might be needed, fees will occur. You don't show up to your car dealership demanding all things to be free, do you? However, unllike a car dealership, you can call their office at 3:01AM because you want to change your password or are wondering whoknowswhat about your alarm system and guess what? SOMEONE is always there to answer... haha, not that I've ever done that... But long story short, I talked to my parents about the snazzy new smart phone features and they agreed because it was a minimal extra monitoring charge. We can arm/disarm the system through our phones. With a little bit more of persuasion, I think my parents would get cameras. Our dog tries protect our home like the best of them but unless he can talk and draw pictures soon, I want another way to proactively protect our home. read more

Had our Home Burglarized recently and looked for an Alarm company to install a security system. I have asked friends and neighbors for advice on who to call and was recommend to call All-Guard. So I looked into their company , They are a Local company and I called for a estimate and review of what type of system to install . Lior Klisman with All-Guard came out the next day to choose a system. He was very helpful and knowledgeable for what we needed. We wanted the system installed ASAP because of the burglary we felt un-safe so we asked Lior to have the system installed as soon as possible and he rushed the install for us . The Installer/technician Sixto came and installed the system/cameras in our home. We are very Happy with the work they did and feel a lot more secure. We had some questions with the system and Lior came back to help us on a Sunday and we appreciated him taking the time to help us . Sixto installed the system in our house and did a very good job , He is very detailed and efficient We plan on having a Neighborhood watch meeting in our area and will recommend All-Guard . After meeting an All-Guard employee at a seminar years ago, I finally had the opportunity to work with them as we built out a new project in San Jose. I could not have been happier with their service both during install (especially) and afterwords regarding their alarm monitoring. We are under a very strict regulatory regime regarding camera coverage and security, and from the beginning, Sean, our Sales rep bent over backwards to help us complete our job on time and in compliance. We could not have been happier with Ryan and the rest of the install crew- they gave pointers on how we could save money and also were very knowledgeable about regulation compliance, which helped a lot. I have been an All-Guard customer for 21 years. We inherited the service when we purchased our house. Overall, I have been very pleased. When alarms are triggered, they call and confirm status. We just had a break-in (first one in 21 years), however the alarm sounded (motion detector) and the intruders left. I got the call from All-Guard and did the necessary follow up, Not a pleasant event, but the alarm did its job. We just added a camera system (sheriffs deputies asked if we had video - now we do). It is easily configured via an app on iPhone and ipad devices, and can be accessed via the web. Unfortunately, crime can now commute, so it is best to be prepared for the remote possibility of an intrusion by maintaining and setting an alarm. We've been a satisfied customer of All-Guard for nearly 30 years. Service calls have been rare and then usually because hardware had worn out. Our last call was to resolve false alarms going off at 5 am on consecutive mornings. Keith Thorne, a Service Manager, responded to our call. Mr. Thorne was highly professional and very personable. Got a system installed by them recently because I am seeing more and more home invasions on the news. I shopped around before just choosing a company and this one is the only one that gave me security tips like setting up a "duress" code for if someone follows me in my house and I need a way to let them know Im in trouble without a burglar knowing. They are a family run business which I like because I try to steer clear of corporate companies who don't give a sh... about your business. Everything went smooth. IT, security etc. Really good companies care about their customers and their reputation. Going cheap is actually paying more than getting the good stuff. Most people don't listen to me on this. If you get a cheap product and want someone to work on it. A less quality company will take your money, put it up horribly and not care. Cause they'll give you the run around till you give up. A good company isn't going to work on it. When equipment messes up and then the last person that installed it, get's blamed. No matter how quality the install/configuration etc is, that equipment is going to go down. Or worse the equipment messes up and takes out other systems with it. Lorex is one of those types of brands. The best thing you can do is call this company, and bryan or another person there will recommend a good affordable (budget is fine but don't be a cheap ass) setup. Then you will have a quality setup that will actually keep you safe.

Not sure what happened to the other reviews we left when we first started doing business with him, somehow they disappeared. The only time we needed to call on Ed was for him to come out and do a service/maintenance call on our systems. Ed was always very accommodating and took immediate action to come out to our homes for service. I called him again today for another service call (4-5yrs) and he was here within an hour. We have never had any type of failures with our systems because the quality of the equipment he provides is top of the line. I will continue to do business with Ed in the future because he always provides quality service and that's hard to find these days.

I'm a patient person and understand busy schedules as I work in a service industry with emergencies, delays, and things that don't going according to plan.
