Ghosted me and my father in law. My FIL and I always share contacts for home improvement services. So when he said he had someone coming out to work on a quote to upgrade his home networking equipment and home automation, I told him to let me know how he liked them because I was looking to update my network and home automation systems. Cham went to my FIL's and clearly knew what he was talking and had a great game plan for the update. My FAL was really excited and passed along the contact info. Kevin set up the appointment and Cham was supposed to come out but at the last minute had to have another rep come. The rep understood what I was looking to do and made great suggestions for additional upgrades including being able to get a lot of my home apps under a master app (cameras, Sonos , garage door, etc). Very exciting. Fast forward about a month and my FIL reached out twice about the status of a quote. Zero response. I went on vacation and got buried in work. When I had a chance to come up for air two months later, I reached out about the status of the quote. Kevin responded and said he would follow up with the rep that came out. That was almost two weeks ago and still no reply. Not sure if they are swamped with work or what, but I don't understand how you would take the time to do a site visit and then ignore not one, but two jobs. read more

I have been struggling with my wifi for quite some time now. Now, all that has changed. At first, I was told (by others) that I didn't have a fast enough plan, so I changed it but keep being dropped. So I changed my plan. The problem persisted. Then someone else (not Regent 5) said I need a strong router; so I spent $300 on a router. It didn't fix the issue. I finally gave up and called Regent5. Sent a request to get a quote on a Savant equipment repair and upgrade via Yelp on Dec 29th. No response so sent another messaging on 1/5 thinking it perhaps got lost during the Holidays. Owner responded on 1/10 asking for additional information which I provided and said they would get back to me after reviewing our information. After some really bad luck with another vendor (here's a tip: if a sales guy ever says "But I won't make any money if I do that!" then find another firm) I asked for a home automation system that I could program and change myself, as my husband and I are both highly technical and want to own the stuff in our house, not just license it. After no other vendors would even respond to me, Cham finally did. Instead of upselling me on Control4 or Savant -- which both have their uses, just not in my home -- he told me to just go with Harmony. He was the only vendor with the correct answer. He and his team came in, yanked out all of the old stuff, put down drop cloths and taped up dust shields, and went to town. In three days I had things mounted and reinstalled and working perfectly. Cham is trustworthy, smart, and best of all he listens to your needs and sells you what will solve your problem, not what will make him the most money. He came to our house on the weekend and after a through examination of the problem determined that the fault was NOT as the AT&T technician had tried to claim, a short in the wiring inside of our house, but the fault was in fact due to the ineptitude of the AT&T technician who had not only failed to notice that the wiring inside of the MPOE telecom box had corroded and burnt, but in trying to assess the problem the AT&T technician had actually cut off the phone feed line going into the house from the outside telecom box.
